Amazing location, very clean, really nice staff, and beautiful scenery. Rolled in late and was going to do a quick over night before hitting the road the next morning. Woke up and saw how pretty it is here and am staying another day. Right off Hwy 40. Very convenient.Make sure to read the details of the site when booking. Some sites are very small. They explain the sites in detail when booking online which I love.

We recently stayed in a Pull-through site (37), which provided plenty of room and was very clean. We used the restrooms nearby and they were clean with hot water and good pressure. We look forward to returning to the Tucumcari KOA in the future, with the hopes to talk with the owners. We had the pleasure of staying with them, when they owned the Placerville, CA KOA campground. That was was a fabulous place to stay for long periods of time of just overnight. My wife and I can't wait to see what the Simoneau family do to this place. I would recommend.

We drove through this KOA last year when we were having work done on our rig and this year we stayed here because we re returning to have work done. Very nice Park. I felt they went out of their way to communicate. You receive a text on the day of your arrival describing how you re going to enter the property. You also get a text offering to bring you breakfast in the morning for I think eight dollars served between 7 and 8 am. they have cable and Wi-Fi. We didn t use the Wi-Fi. We have Starlink. But my favourite part was the warm cookies we received at check-in.

The staff texts you in advance with directions and offerings for their 8.50 breakfast, which is a nice feature. We went to our assigned spot to see the person next to us was pulled way to our side and had their slides out, so we had to move over and couldnt get our slides out. So we asked to be moved to another gravel site, and that was proving difficult. I asked for a concrete site and paid more for it. While it is a pull through, we had to disconnect since the hookups were at the rear of the site, and we had to disconnect and then park our toad in front of our vehicle. The concrete sites are spaced further apart than the gravel ones. IF you are in a fifth wheel or tow behind under 40 feet you will be fine. Most of these pull throughs are not geared towards a class a or c towing a vehicle. Some mild traffic noise from route 40, but not too bad since the concrete sites are all the way in the back. The dog park is on the smaller side. No dog waste bags or garbage cans through out the park.I know this is under new ownership and I am hoping they can address some of the issues. The welcome cookies were a nice touch!

All in all, a good overnight stay at this KOA journey. Conveniently located off the interstate, but somehow isn't loud from interstate traffic. Staff was really kind and welcoming; they gave us free cookies at check-in and had free coffee in the morning. Some things around the grounds could use a bit of updating, but everything seemed to be in functioning order. We had an odd encounter with a guy who was camping at another site, but otherwise had a decent stay at a camping cabin. We do wish the cabin had a mini fridge, but appreciated the AC.

We came in at 9 pm, they left our envelope at the door, very pleased with this campground!. In the envelope their was a breakfast form; which they brought breakfast to your camper the following morning. So cool!. Best KOA by far. Nice playground, dog area, big pull through sight, and they had shelter areas if you are using a tent. They also have propane fill up. And books that have a map of every KOA. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Thank you so much for everything

Easy on/off of 40. Site was clean, spacious, and level. Check in was easy and quick. Fun playground for kiddos and the pool was nice and cold. They even had a little golf cart train ride for the kids. They loved it. Eat dinner at Dels downtown! They also door dash to the campground. Would definitely stay again!!!Nearby activities: Super close to old route 66.Safety: Park seems safe and secure.Food & drinks: Try Dels downtown.

Came in after dark so we did the after hours check in. Paperwork waiting so no issues until we got to the site. The water was on the front end of the site - no way our hose was going to reach. Luckily the site next to us was empty and we pulled in it backwards. Internet was a very weak signal. Husband liked the showers.

I had called them on short notice since I was on a cross country trip and was surprised they had a cabin. The price was reasonable and the cabin had bunk beds and a double bed which could accommodate 4 adults easily. The cabin was equipped with air conditioning and cable TV and a small table and 2 chairs. It totally ROCKED....thank you guys for such a great time

Great place to stop, we wished we had more time to stay here. Well manicured grounds, nice pool friendly personable staff and they have breakfast you can purchase delivered to your site for early risers, and a barrel train for the kids if the weather permits. Will absolutely stay here again. It is Tucumcari 's hidden gem!Nearby activities: Right off of route 66. Famous highway.

New owners; and it shows. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Clean bathhouse. The terrain is flat (easy walking for us older campers). They appear to have many activities for families during the regular season. And, a great breakfast that they will bring to your site. I will definitely be staying here again.

Not rooms but campsites! The campground was very clean with spacious sites. When I went to pay in the morning, Cindy and John were very gracious campground owners! John made a fresh pot of coffee so my husband could have a fresh cup. Cindy answered all my questions and even recommended places in the area if we were ever in that area again.
