I d like to give this company 10 stars!! The owner Steve and his staff were wonderful to us. Our coach had a turbo failure near Tucumcari NM and had to be towed to a Cummins certified shop for repair.John s Truck Service is a 47 year old family run business and they got us back in the road as quickly as possible. They are professional, though and very hard working.We are so thankful for Steve s kindness and help - thank you John s Truck Service!!!

Had a DPF Issue. Truck was loosing power and had red check engine. They took me in the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and was able to fix my truck that same day and get me back on the road so I can make it with family in Phoenix. Thank you .

My husband and I were traveling from Arizona to Virginia. We had a fuel restriction issue and they found the issue and fixed it. We thank them for their hard work. Very skilled workers. Caring and friendly staff. Recommend them to anyone with a motorhome.

All I have to say is this guy( and his shop staff) is awesome. Driving through from Arizona pulling my Toyhauler my Truck through a code and I lost power. I called the Ram dealer in Amarillo and they said a day wait . I saw the sign and pulled off . I met the owner and he apologized his staff was on lunch . When they got back they immediately jumped into diagnosing the problem. After finding out I needed a new fuel filter they had me test the truck 10-15 miles to make sure it fixed the problem. The employee Justin was even a cool guy who chatted with me for a few while waiting . Great service, and awesome staff !Super happy with these guys !Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Do not take your truck to this location the man who is working there like boos he is trying to make a to much charges. I did pay for labor charges $1480 they did not work for 6 hours they broken my diesel filter counted $200 for 1 hour valve cleaning he charge me $400 I bought nox sensor from him $664 he do not count my core he got it for free he is trying to keep you there for labor charges when I take the road after 500 miles my check engine light come back I new what he did and i did pay $2700 for him my money gone for nothing. Take your truck to Amarillo or Albuquerque.

My kenworth(Cummins) through a Derate light. Johns was recommended by another shop a town over. I m glad that my truck broke down near Johns. My truck was diagnosed(CORRECTLY) and a DEF pump was replaced. Few hrs later I was back on the road. I m extremely grateful to Johns for getting me back on the road the same day, especially on a Friday. Very knowledgeable staff and pay attention to details. Highly recommend. I ve been in this business for 10 years and I know a good shop when I see one.

Breaking down is never a good thing.But if you do and you're close to Tucumcari, New Mexico. John's truck service is Simply the Best.We can't say enough good things about the whole team. We would give them 20 Stars if we could. Our Diesel pickup just was not running,We pulled in late afternoon on Friday.They hooked it up to the computer and diagnosed it, Got injectors ordered and we're delivered early Monday morning.Our service tech worked hard on it all day Monday pulling the old ones out and replacing the new ones.He finished it up Tuesday morning, ran the rack. And got us going.The people at this shop truly care about their customers and go out of their way to help you.Great folks and they are a true blessing.!!We would highly recommend this shop to anyone.Thanks to all of you.

Without a doubt the best shop with the best people working that I've ever dealt with. Not only did they get me fixed but ran multiple tests to be sure everything was good. I've been through same problem and dealerships replaced parts and shoved me out the door only to have more problems. I don't wish breakdowns on anyone but if it happens, I hope you're near this shop. Most people (and businesses) lack compassion and willingness to support - not here. We broke down traveling through and even though they were very busy and down a mechanic that day, they took time for me - some stranger that doesn t live in the area so not much chance for repeat business. This was not an easy repair (diesel never is) but they found a way to get it fixed and us on the road again. This is one of the best places to break down. I been breaking down for years and they are the best people and mechanics I ever encountered. They not trying to beat you and by the time they fix your truck it's what the problem actually was. No I mean no mechanics I've seen even the dealer can't touch these guys and there staff a family operation most of the staff been with them there whole career they are fair Good people I'd think The angels live close to them because they treat like a Human not just a customer.Service: Transmission

Great people. Came in in at 5 mph and left the same night at full speed. The boss stayed after hours to make sure we got on the road and despite it all still made our load on time! Much appreciated!

Fantastic job! My family and I were traveling back to Texas in our motorhome and needed a check engine light cleared to prevent derating of the engine. Steve Burns, James, Ryan, and April all pitched in to evaluate the seriousness and clear this code so that we could travel safely home. No charge. Had tractor and trailer towed in after tractor went into derate.Steve diagnosed faults and found tractor computer was significantly outdated and needed numerous software programs to be updated.Did that successfully and cleared out all fault codes but, tractor still wasn't at optimum performance.Found and replaced a sensor which fixed the performance issues and had me rolling next day, despite having numerous other jobs being worked at same time.This place is amazing!Everyone is polite and friendly and they all bend over backwards to make you feel like family, not just a customer.I would highly recommend John's Truck Service for any tractor, motorcoach or diesel repair you may need.Absolutely awesome!Thank you so much for everything yall did for me.God bless you all!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

While passing through on vacation our RV broke down 13 miles outside of town on a Saturday. On Monday morning we talked with Steve at John s Truck Service and explained our situation and he said he would take a look and see what they could do. We had it towed in and even though they were covered up with work, within 5 minutes of unhooking from the tow truck, one of his crew members was out checking to see what the issue was. Given that it was an older front engine diesel RV with multiple issues, diagnosing the problem was itself quite a challenge. But Steve and his crew were able to figure it out and get us going again in a very reasonable amount of time. They were honest, professional and friendly. Just the type of people you look for when you re 550 miles away from home. John s Truck Service are absolutely the people you want working on your equipment. I was very pleased with there service. James did a very good job, very professional. He cared about about the rv. Steve helped find parts , if not would have had to have parts air lifted. they let us stay in rv in there lot .

We stopped in on a Monday morning before John's opened but John was already trouble shooting a lot full of trucks that filtered in over the weekend. We lost our oil pressure sending unit and Johns had the part we needed to keep us going. John you and your staff are greatly appreciated for keeping the trucking world going. Thanks again! Outstanding place and people. We broke down and had our semi sent to John's for a motor rebuild, excellent shop, very knowledgeable and super kind people. Can't recommend them enough. Will use them for any repairs when we are out this way.

5 Gold Stars!!When my truck quit on I-40, I was stranded. Fortunately, I was blessed that Steve answered the call. He made sure I was safe and he made me feel at home while repairs were made on my truck.Reasons for 5 GOLD stars include:- My truck was given the right diagnosis, the first time.- The estimate was accurate and the repair was timely.- The mechanics were highly skilled and the staff was friendly and helpful.- The entire process was masterfully directed by a boss knows his stuff and cares about his work and his customers.- Family owned business that is highly respected by locals and long distance truckers.- Trusted by everyone I talked with.I especially want to thank Steve, Stanley, April and Justin. Went to another shop in town for a dpf high pressure issue and they recommended me to John's. Their diagnostic was spot on, they discovered how another technician had not properly completed a repair which caused me issues, and ultimately discovered an issue with my one box that had been overlooked by the dealer in Albuquerque.Their communication with me was superb, everything was detailed and all my questions were answered. Steve (the boss) even called me after repairs were complete and I was down the road to make sure everything was good.Customer service is a forgotten art in many industries, and I have to say that Steve, Stanley, April, and John himself have set the bar so high that many will struggle to even come into the same arena as John's Truck Service.Thanks guys for everything!!

Truck broke down a few days ago. The shop personnel stayed late to diagnose and fix my truck, leaving g me informed every step of the way. If I have further Tru k issues in this area, I will definitely return

Words can't begin to express how greatful I am to you guys for staying the extra hours after hours to get me back on the road. My family needed help while traveling. Our van's coolant light came on while driving and beeping at us. John's was the closest repair shop and we were feeling desperate. These guys were so awesome, welcoming and friendly. Although we had a van and they specialize in diesel trucks. They got us what we needed to make it to another repair shop. Thank you Steve and April for your help.

We got an unexpected flat just outside of town and these guys got to us quickly, were very professional, and had us on our way in no time! We stopped by the shop the next morning to pick up tires and they gave us a fair price and did the work quickly. Mike was ESPECIALLY AWESOME. This is the best place in Tucumcari if you need auto work.
