Went in to get an alignment . The mechanic took the truck and put it in the bay. This truck has a 6 speed manual. To start, he adjusted the truck on the ramps by backing up while not disengaging the parking brake it was making a horrible noise. We heard it across the parking lot and knew because that s what inexperienced drivers do , he continued backing up never popped the parking break release. whatever. Moving on to after it s done. He s in reverse and we were walking up to the truck the guy starts doing a reverse burnout and locking up the front tires leaving a good 18 skid on the ground . (Maybe he thought the break is what takes it out of gear is all I could figure ) I don t know but you could tell he didn t know what he was doing. We quickly started over to the truck by that time. When we got to him he said he was going to take it on a test drive . We declined ( because if you can t even back up why would we let you drive it ?) he got mad and said it was the stick( it s not the stick my husband drives the truck every day). He kept saying you got a problem and puffed out we just said we didn t want you driving it that it was fine. My husband went and reported it to the manger/mechanic? I guess he went and talked to the mechanic because . The guy clocked out, came out and was saying he s off work and he repeatedly was inferring and suggesting they fight , hitting his chest just acting like a maniac. He tore off in his truck . So We went back inside and told the manager/ mechanic. he didn t do anything just said the mechanic isn t big enough to be fighting fights. And left it at that. Do not come here. Unless you re looking for someone to beat your truck and act like they know what they re doing when they don t .

2 HAPPY customers here! Our car was overheating every so often, and we stopped by D&A and Don helped us immediately. The nicest guy ever and took care of everything for us. We were in and out in 5 minutes. Thanks for treating us like family Don!

Diagnosed my electrical issue pretty quick which was nice of them , battery expensive but when your stuck.your stuckFYI, they only take cash or local checks no debit or credit card

I cannot thank Don and his team enough for the incredible and professional customer service we received at his shop. My wife's and my car broke down outside of Tucumcari and we visited his shop at 4:45pm. Though it was late and raining, they diagnosed the problem immediately and offered to order the part overnight (the camshaft sensor) to be fixed first thing the next day. We stayed in a hotel, brought the car in at 9, and were out a short while later on our trip for a very reasonable price. This happened in May of last year and our car is still running great!Don and the team, thank you for saving our road trip! And thank you to the kind and friendly regulars (some of whom had been come for a decade or more) who talked to us in the waiting room and made it clear that this incredible customer service is what keeps them coming back.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Driving through on a road trip. Our car needed a fuel pump. Even though they were busy, they ordered our part over night, while we spent the night in a local hotel. Don and his team fixed our car as soon as they opened, we were out sooner than expected. These guys took great care of us, making our time in Tucumcari excellent. Thank you guys! We made it to San Diego safe!

Tensioner pulley on serpentine belt froze while e route from Las Cruces to Amarillo, and tore belt. Local Napa store had belt and called D & A to see if they could fit me in. They could and I limped the car over to their shop where they diagnosed the frozen pulley. Of course the parts store did not have the pulley so had to wait for parts to arrive from Albuquerque the next morning. They stored my trailer with my new (to me) bike in their back storage area and gave me a ride to a motel. They would have picked me up from the motel but it turned out to only be a block from the shop. They had my car fixed and the trailer back on the hitch by 11:00am and I was back on the highway. The people were very nice and friendly and professional. Hopefully I will not break down in the vicinity of Tucumcari again but if I do I will not hesitate to take my car to them.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

My husband and I are traveling cross country, along the way we had a serious problem with his truck. D&A auto was able to save the day for us, we got the truck diagnosed & serviced same day and are back out on the road safely and with peace of mind. Can not say enough about this place. We broke down very early morning 1 mile out of town early Monday morning. It was not a major repair but it was an important repair and they fixed it so that we could make it home safely within a couple of hours. So many thanks to Don & friends.

We were passing through Tucumcari and our very old Jetta became in dire need of attention. We drove up to the shop and everyone came out to have a look. The part needed to be ordered from Albuquerque, of course, but we were on the road early the next morning. All good! Super great price! Super great service! And! The jedi ( ) sounds better? There is mechanical magic being practiced here! Thank you!!!

Exceptional Service, Great warmth and personality. One of the cleanest shop bays I have ever experience in some 40 plus years of travel. If you want quality and professionalism, I would highly recommend Don and his staff work on your vehicle.

Very unprofessional and rude. Not to mention untruthful and never communicated with us. Didn t do a full inspection of our vehicle in the first place which left us with a bad wheel. When asked to do a supplemental or order the 2nd rim, Mr. White first said it was all good to go and then never submitted anything. Over a course of 5 months of trying to get a second wheel or insurance supplemental we finally just gave up and found another company to order a wheel from.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment

Went in with a stalled car that would stop and start and stop and start he claimed it was a alternator which I thought it might be a electrical he said no he charged $500 which is double the amount for an alternator job and I paid $300 he charge for a new alternator but it is I used one rebuilt.
