Just had such a pleasant experience here! Took my car in because the apron was broken and Jaime saw me without an appointment and helped me out right away and gave my car a quick fix! Happy to leave review and recommendation for here.

I was referred to Jamie's Brakes by Start to Finish Collision Repair. Someone backed into my car at a fast speed while on vacation north of Taos. I had to figure out if my car was safe to drive home to Texas, which was going to be hot and remote. The team at Start to Finish thought I would be fine to drive after an alignment. Jamie's was booked out about a week and a half but promised if I got there right away, they could fit me in. Thanks to Jamie's, my dog and I got home safely. I highly recommend.

I have gone to Jaime many times for various issues with my vehicle throughout the years. My partner also takes her vehicle to him. He is someone we totally trust. We always are happy with the results, and I feel fortunate that I live in a town where he has his business. He s also one of the nicest and funniest people I ve met, so that is also a bonus. Anyone who works on vehicles is bound to be a bit temperamental at times. This I say coming from experience. I'll never be happy working on any vehicle ever again, but this man has patience (and a lot of it) to be in this line of work for the years it's been his specialty. I've never been a customer, but anything derogatory I may have said about this man's business was most likely based on my own lack of knowledge and my hot temper. I truly regret saying things that were possibly misleading, and for that I apologize.

If you are not going to Jaime, you are wasting your time and money. I went to him based on other reviews and was not disappointed. He was able to squeeze me in with very short notice. I thought my brakes were going bad, he informed me that it was a problematic tie rod. He only charges you for work that actually needs to be done. He is super honest and his assistant goes above and beyond what you are expecting to pay for. This kind of service is rare and refreshing.

What a great human being. Jaime went above and beyond to get us, visitors to Taos, back on the road after our brakes went out. No one else would or could help us within 24 hours. Jaime is great! Was driving through town for a hunt and was in need of an alignment before a long drive back to Utah. I called and he took me in right away. He did the much needed alignment in 20 minutes. He has an laser guided system and is certified. From the sounds of things a number of shops around town even send their alignment work to him. Great place in a great experience!

I was traveling through during a very long road trip and I had some concerns about my brakes. I know virtually nothing about cars and brakes. Jamie took the time to look at them and said they were fine, but offered the advice of purchasing better quality breaks material next time. He showed me what to look for on my car. He took time out of his own day and didn t charge me a thing. If I lived in town this is where I would go. He is super honest and sharing of his knowledge.

I thought I had an alignment issue, so I went to see Jaime. He took time to discuss the symptoms with me before getting started, and diagnosed the problem as a tire balancing issue instead, and recommended a place up the street. He was correct. I appreciated the honesty and skillful, free assessment.

Jaime's Brakes and alignment staff are awesome , great mechanics. Had a alignment problem went in with my wife and daughter told them my situation and right away took time to help me and look at my vehicle and expalne the problems had it fixed the next day... Would definitely recommended honest friendly staff

One star just because they re closed on the weekend normal people work during the week and can t takeoff work so they should be open on the weekend like every automotive spot
