Worst tow company in taos bad communication and said they wouldn t tow after waiting for over an hour in 9 degree weather after calling AAA just to find out they wouldn t come out to a dirt road that a Prius could easily drive Down! Learn how to run a legitimate business or remove your service from AAA your waisting people s time and causing serious inconvenience!

Great & Quick customer service. I Locked my keys in my car and my insurance sent AC towing to unlock it. Tino was very professional from calling for directions to the unlocking.

Had a breakdown coming into Taos for a visit. Dispatch got me a truck and it did not take long. Driver was professional and even got some local knowledge for our visit.

Our hybrid Subaru punctured flat on a rocky road but these cars don t have spares cause of the huge hybrid battery. This happened in the evening when all the tire shops were closed so we needed a tow to O Reillys so we could buy and insert a plug. CJ found us easily, towed us into town, and even taught us how to properly set the plug since I d never done it. He helped make sure every thing was good to go before we drove off. He was quick, knowledgeable, and funny. Literally perfect service. Definitely more than you could expect. Wish I could give him more than 5/5 stars

Called and spoke with the dispatcher who told me they charge $2 per mile unloaded and $5.50 per mile loaded and $135 hook charge. We waited over an hour and a half for the tow truck to show even though he was just 24 miles up the road. When we called to find out where he was, we were told he s getting close. No real time line given. Just minutes before the tow truck driver arrived, a fellow Texan stopped and offered to go get the part and help me. I told Gus the tow truck driver that we no longer needed a tow and that I would pay for his mileage there and back. Gus informed me that he had to charge the $135 hook fee as well, whether or not he towed me. So I was quoted $300 to be towed from Angel Fire to Taos, but was charged $322.48 without even being towed. I explained to the dispatcher that she never told me I would be charged a hook fee even if I was not towed, and she stated well I didn t know we weren t towing you. If you use them try to get pricing up front but I doubt they will be honest with you! We were very disappointed as they had all good reviews. They took advantage of our vulnerable situation.

My camper slid off of a forest service road after hitting a patch of ice, almost taking my truck and camper into a 25 foot deep ravine. Amos was the only one able to come out that day, from Taos, we were 16 miles from US 285 and he was familiar with where I was. It took him a couple of hours, due to distance. Once he got to me, he looked at the situation, and it was a game of inches, but about 45 minutes he had my truck and camper out of the ditch, with minor damage, which he warned me about before he started recovery. Amos prevented a worse day from the one I already had. I can not say enough about his skill, concern, and professionalism. After my truck and camper were recovered, he offered to follow me out to make sure I made it to the highway without further incident, which I declined. After these reviews, I expected far better. My family and I were stranded on SR 285 Saturday night 2/25/2026. Contacted AC Towing first. They recommended we call someone closer but to call back if we couldn't find anyone else. Multiple calls back with no answer. AC you came highly recommended to me by a personal friend of the owner.

My insurance contracted this company to town my car after a strange blizzard. In a twist of bad luck my tow service was cancelled. The reason I am writing this review is a gentleman by the name of Elijah who works for this company was our guardian angel and knight in shining armor. This man represents this company with pure integrity. In causal conversation we heard him speak very well about this company, and how much he enjoys working for AC towing. Some people are just made for the job and Elijah made sure we got back on track and even had an alternate plan for us in the event we needed to contract him to tow our vehicle a second time though AC. We are so grateful for him during our situation. 3 poor girls stranded in Taos NM in a BIG bind. There s something to be said about people who continue to represent their employers even when off the clock. Thank you Elijah! I hope this makes it back to you!!!

We were visiting Taos from Parker, Colorado, when the clutch in our Mini Cooper went out with no warning! Gill came and rescued us and towed our car back to the RV park where our motorhome was. This was Memorial Day weekend and Gill was there within 15 minutes of our phone call to this company. Highly recommend this business.Service: Car towingService: Car towing

My son got stuck and needed to be towed out of the snow in New Mexico. OnStar sent two tow truck companies. The other tow truck had arrived and was pulling my son out, but the tow truck driver from AC called me to make sure we were being helped and there wasn t another black Chevy truck there needing help. I was in Louisiana and had been worried that no one was going to show up and pull him out. I m sure that the driver from AC was not happy to have traveled there only to find another tow truck there, but he was so kind and helpful to me on the phone and I really appreciated his kindness. His concern for making sure that everyone who needed help had been served rather than frustration that he wasn t the one to get to do the work impressed me.

My car broke down in an area kind far from Taos but they still came in reasonably amout of time. When they arrived they had a car towing trailer attached to their truck and they took off that trailer loaded my car and reattached the trailer in like 15 mins. Those guys are awesome. And they accepted my insurance to pay for are tow.

Referred to AC by AAA, we were in a rental car that was unable to get up to Taos Ski Valley in the snow. My wife called AAA, who did not fully understand the situation, and AC clarified that since our car was not broken down, this was not something AAA would cover and they could not tow us up there safely in the snow and even if they could, we had three people and they could only take two. She then offered to have her husband come by in their personal 4x4 and pick us up and drop us off at our condo because they didn't want us to miss out! Just the best people, use them with confidence!Service: Car towing

Nobody enjoys having to be towed, but Marleen and Adrian made this an amazing experience!First spoke with a real person in Taos!Second . Marleen quoted me an hour and fifteen minutes and a rate that was about half what her competition word with a three hour wait (the other guys obviously used some sort of central booking service/call center)Third , Adrian called me only for five minutes later to say he was about a mile out. When he arrived, he was courteous and professional.I really hope I never have to call them again, but if I do ever need a tow, I ll definitely used them and will happily refer them to anyone in need of this service.Service: Car towing

We called AAA because our truck wouldn't start and we needed a tow home, which was handled by AC Towing. CJ kept us informed about his ETA, and arrived much faster than we had anticipated. He was professional, courteous, friendly, and clearly knew what he was doing. We couldn't have been happier with the way he took care of our truck. Highly recommended - thank you!Service: Car towing

We got our car into an unusual predicament and needed to be towed up out of a drop-off. Everyone I spoke with, from the dispatcher to the manager (owner?) to the driver were friendly and professional. I was by myself and probably had a touch of hypoxia. Their efficient, friendly professionalism set me at ease through the whole process. They drove me back up the mountain and pulled our car out of the hole it was in. Note - no cell service up the mtn so couldn't use credit card. Fortunately we had cash. Worth every penny. Could have been a horrible situation in so many ways. Our car was fine with minimal damage from the tow that couldn't be avoided due to the angle. The whole process took two hours, which was actually less time than I thought it would take, all things considered. Excellent experience with this company. Thank you AC Towing!

Don and the crew provided excellent service that went over and above by far. I had a blowout near Taos ski resort in my Mercedes Sprinter van and when I went to change the tire realized I needed a specialized socket for the anti theft lugs which I didn t have with me. I called around and a great guy from Garcias tire shop had the special socket (we thought) and said he d leave it outside for me to pick up as he was closing for the day. I thanked him and he said to pay it forward. I called AC Towing to see if they could help me out. Dom immediately agreed to come help me change the tire but I explained the special socket and asked if he could grab it on the way. No problem at all. Within 45 minutes he reached me at Taos and the next problems were encountered. The special socket didn t fit and none of the tools I had were working. I was pretty freaked out because i had to pick up my kids at the airport 4 hours away the next morning and every shop in town was closed already. Instead of giving up he went through every tool he had and finally we found something that would work. Once he fixed me up and helped replace the tire he said he d follow me to town to make sure I was good which he did. What a great dude and great service. I ll definitely be paying this one forward. Such nice and accommodating people. We were stranded on a mountain road and they came and rescued us. Not only that but Tony, the man that picked us up, took us to our hotel, helped find our room and carry our luggage to the room. Then the next day their mechanic repaired our vehicle so we could finish our trip. I highly recommend AC Towing. Hopefully we ll never need them again but if so, they ll be the folks we call.

We were driving from Antonia to Santa Fe when our 97 Fd Exp started making boom boom boom sounds from the engine. AC Towing was sent to help. Dominick was great!! He packed us up and took us to Taos. AC Towing was great. Francisco and Amos were friendly and very professional and courteous. I had originally had another company come out and the experience was entirely different, so I was very pleased to have such good service with AC Towing. My car was stuck in the snow on bank and incline they got my car out of snow in bank and incline. The other company had acted like it was a big deal, but Francesco and Amos were able to quickly and professionally get the job done!

AAA connected us to AC Towing. They showed up on time, were friendly, and had excellent communication. But, most importantly, the customer service was top notch. When we had to postpone our request to the next morning, CJ was happy to reschedule. When we didn't have the name of the mechanic's shop (just the name of the mechanic), CJ knew who it was and happily took us there. When the mechanic wasn't around, CJ was able to connect us with another reputable mechanic and take us there. And, when Enterprise car rental screwed us over, CJ came up with the brilliant idea that we rent a truck from Uhaul. They gained a customer for life today. Thanks CJ!Service: Car towing

I got stuck way out on the 522 and Brandon picked me up and towed me and my vehicle back to my home for an extremely reasonable rate. He even knew a gentleman who came to fix my car the next day, At My Home!! The following month my Air Conditioner went out so I drove my vehicle to this shop to drain and refill the air conditioning unit for a great price. Brandon and his Boss are Great People and I would refer them to anyone who may breakdown or is having mechanical issues. They're an Honest and Good Bunch of People.

I was referred to this shop by AAA when I was having trouble starting my 34-year old truck. They were able to quickly rule out a few straightforward problems, and I give them 5-stars because they actually referred me to another shop to have an electrical problem addressed. Any business that will turn business away when it s outside their scope earns my trust. I ll definitely go back to them for service in the future should I need it!
