Bennett is THE BEST! I'm a long-time Taos skier, former racer(in the old days!) so I'm picky about boots! I bought a pair of boots in January, had some fit issues then, came back in March for more fit issues and Bennett was wonderful! Can't say enough about his expertise, his customer service and his sense of humor. He made the whole experience less painful--and fun!! I'm a happy customer!

I've been here a handful of times. They are good at what they do - boot fitting. I wouldn't go here for anything else though. It's a teeny tiny shop and they're usually quite busy, so it's hard to get attention from staff. By February they seem - well - a little burned out.Yesterday I walked in to get my skis tuned. The ski tech looked at me, went in the back, then left the building! The boot fitters were doing their boot fitting, and no one was at the register, so I left.Outside I ran into another staffer who was in a conversation. I tried to get his attention, but no. Finally, I went into the lower Cottams next door, where they treated me like a valued customer, took care of me in no time, and gave me a great ski tune!This is not the first time I've had this experience at Bootdoctors. Sure, there are great boot fitters here, but what does it matter if they don't have enough staff to give you the time of day. I won't go back until I'm desperate for a boot fitter!

I drove one hour from Angel Fire to get fitted for ski boots. I was having trouble with my own ski boots (that are a very nice boot) that were causing some pain and needed to get expert advice. Margie helped me and was very knowledgeable. She measured my foot and walked me through the entire process. I was wearing ski boots that were 1 and 1/2 sizes too big, and I ended up buying a pair of Tecnica's in the correct size. She heated them and formed them to my foot. I skied the next day with no problems and my new boots felt wonderful. She also measured my daughters foot and adjusted my current boot so my daughter could wear them. My daughter was happy to get a customized boot updgrade and also loved the results. I have been skiing for 25 years and I learned boot techniques from Margie I had not previously learned! I highly recommend driving out of your way to receive their expert advice!

I can't tell you how much my partner and I enjoyed spending an afternoon with Margie, Robbie & Bill at Bootdoctors Taos. They made buying boots and bindings for these novice-yet-aspirational AT skiers a stress-free and fun experience. Margie & Robbie are both highly skilled boot fitters, who explained everything from lasts to flex to power straps, while Bill pointed us in the direction of the most appropriate bindings for our endeavors. These folks are highly recommended!

Bennet Smith expertly analyzed my husbands boots which were too large and too low of a flex! He was able to get him into a great fitting pair of boots! The experts at Boot Doctors should be training other boot fitters in the Christy Sports organization! Wonderful experience!

I recently drove five hours out of my way to buy a pair of boots at the Bootdoctor. I m glad I did! The crew at the Bootdoctor exemplifies excellence in so many ways. They are professional, dedicated to their craft, and perhaps most importantly, friendly to customers, no matter their knowledge level. Five stars all the way

I visited the location at Taos Ski Valley and can t say enough about the customer service I received from the staff. Margie was incredibly helpful and answered all my questions to help me get fitted for a pair of boots to fit my own needs. She also had great tips on ski socks and after measuring my feet pointed out that my rental boots were a full size too big. I d recommend this place to anyone looking to up their ski game and invest in some quality boots that will last.

Drove 4 hours to get my zip fit liners custom fitted to a new pair of boots by the best bootfitter around! Patrick took his time helping me find the perfect fit and now I m skiing with much less pain and way more control. Thank you BootDoctors!

Had the best time at Bootdoctors in Taos today! I purchased a pair of custom fit boots as well as new skis/bindings and couldn t have been happier with my experience. During a visit to the shop earlier this fall, Charlie recommended that I come back for some custom boots, and I m so glad I did! Margo is a super experienced professional who provided a personal fitting. Wild Bill directed me to just the right pair of skis to swish around on. This all means a lot, because a little over three years ago, I broke my leg pretty badly in a mountain bike accident. This resulted in three plates and 27 screws in my leg and I haven t downhill skied since! Margo was able to find a boot that not only fit my foot, but was comfortable on all my hardware. She made the boot fit my limited ankle flexion with some really crafty tricks. I felt confident in her capable hands! Not to mention the perfection of the custom fit and molded footbed! Wild Bill understood my desire for an affordable, versatile, and easy to maneuver ski for my first season back post leg break on the slopes. Now, bring on the snow!

Highly recommend getting boot fitted here. Wild Bill and the crew are amazing and super helpful. Not to mention extremely knowledgeable! Got new boots that fit well, bindings mounted and skins cut. Ready for the ski Year!!!

I really can t speak highly enough of my experience at TSV Bootdoctors. Ian went above and beyond in helping me find the right pair of ski boots. Ian made the experience pleasant rather than stressful and was able to narrow down what was for me a daunting amount of choices, to some specific boot options that worked well with my foot shape and ski style/goals. I absolutely recommend going to Bootdoctors and specifically speaking to Ian if you are looking to purchase any ski or snowboard gear, his knowledge is extensive and he s super helpful.

Had an awesome experience buying my first pair of ski boots. Worked with Tyler as my doctor and then Bill worked with my skis to adjust the bindings to fit the new boots. Everyone in the store was super welcoming and warm and extremely knowledgeable. They definitely have a science of boot fitting and I left with ski boots that were more comfortable than I thought was possible. No upselling, awesome staff, highly recommend. (P.S. If you're going for boots, prepare for an hour and a half or so because the fitting process is extensive (and awesome...).

These guys are great. This is the place to have boots fit and gear fixed in NM.They're locals and experts at fitting boots. That means they don't just get you into the right pair, but they'll make necessary customizations to ensure you get the maximum comfort and performance out of them. They are the only shop in the state of NM I trust working on my boots. They also do great work on skis and their pricing is reasonable!I really hope that all the destination skiers visiting Taos realize how lucky they are to have such a quality shop so easily accessible and offering legit equipment and services.

Go see Wild Bill & Ian at the Boot Doctors and you will not be disappointed. Best demo and equipment experience/purchase I ve ever had and they are both so incredibly knowledgeable and FUN to work with. They have an amazing demo program and truly advise and help you get into the best ski for your needs, experience etc. My entire family & I cannot say enough great things about this place and the people who run it (and we have been in the ski world for a long long time.) Thank you Wild Bill & Ian - you guys rock and we will see you next season!

Ian at the repair and tuning side of things works magic. Bootdoctors has ALWAYS been the most helpful, professional and knowledgeable ski shop in Taos Ski Valley. Obviously the best at fitting boots, but don t forget about their ski tubing, repairs and variety of gear to purchase.

Had a boot fitting with Margie at the Taos Ski Valley location. Fantastic! Went with Zip Fit liners and custom foot beds. Also took care of a canting issue with shims. My boots are better than new, and instant improvement in skiing. More precise carves, and zero slop in my boots. Rest of the staff has been very helpful with tune ups and new ski purchases. Top notch shop.

Boot doctors first and foremost is a first class operation. I purchased a very expensive pair of ski boots from another ski shop in Colorado and was very dissatisfied with the fit of the boots and the customer service. Let me say that the staff at boot doctors, namely, Ian and Robbie are absolutely first class. They are both professional and courteous along with all the staff. They genuinely care and reflects in their work. They fully customized my boots along with foot beds and I now have a pair of ski boots I am in love with. Cannot say enough good about this store and their entire staff. They ve earned a customer for life and I will not go anywhere else for mine or my family s ski equipment needs.

These guys are awesome! Easily made an appointment and was lucky to have Ian fit my boots. He was super patient and knowledgeable. Tried a few different boots that had the flex and last I needed. He molded and shaved the liner until they fit perfectly and did a custom foot bed for my high arch. Fixed any cramping I used to have and I ski all day with zero issues. I won t go anywhere else, plus they ll make adjustments if needed. Great experience, 100% worth heading to Taos to see them!

I bought new boots at Bootdoctors in Taos at the beginning of the season. After skiing in them 10 times, they needed a fit adjustment in a couple places. This time, I made an appointment with Margie, who was great. She listened closely and patiently as I described the issues I was having and confidently knew exactly how to remedy them, which she proceeded to do. She also gave me some good advice on a better way to go about buckling ski boots. I highly recommend Margie at Bootdoctors Taos.

Great experience. It was my first season skiing after a long time, and I really needed to get out of seasonal rentals and into some boots that fit better. I tried one pair of boots (from another place) that worked all right for a couple of weeks but then my feet started sloshing around and it was tough to do much. I went in to get those boots fitted, but Charlie saw that I needed to size down and get into more narrow boots and took me through a process orient me to whyyyy. (It kind of felt like an intervention, and I m grateful.) Super knowledgeable, direct, kind. He was absolutely right, completely hooked me up, and it has made an enormous difference in my skiing. I m grateful and would recommend Boot Doctors to anyone.

During our trip, my snowboard boots needed some adjustments. Margaret took the time to examine my needs and gave us recommendations that would bring me great relief. The team knows what they are doing here! I cannot recommend their expertise enough - it s really a one-stop-shop for gear and comfort needs when hitting the slopes!

I have been a Boot Doctors customer for over 25 years. I even owned a local competing business at one time. Even though this shop is owned by Christy Sports, it is run, managed and staffed by locals. I have known many of the employees there for over twenty years, some of them their whole lives! This is a great local shop providing phenomenal customer service and expertise. I am a very particular customer so I appreciate the high level of knowledge offered by the staff. I just went in there for some end-of-season tech work that I could do myself but just don't have time. Bill took excellent care of me. I would not hesitate to send expert and beginner skiers alike into Boot Doctors for advice and service.

This place knows what's up when it comes to fitting and customer service. I went there 2 years ago to get my first pair of fitted boots. They ended up being a bit too tight, and after working with them for a few years I had had enough. I went back in, even after my one year warranty expired and was given phenomenal service by Margie. She listened to my troubles, fit me again and really ensured that I would get to wnjoy my favorite hobby. My experience was so good that both my brother and Dad went up to get fitted as well, and we all ended up getting full set ups. Margie, you are the bomb!

When the experts here recommend you a boot size - believe them! I went down a size from my recommended size because I thought this might be better long term but my feet hurt! The staff was super understanding, let me return the boots that were too small, and recommended the brand that s best for my foot shape (Lange). Unfortunately they were out of my size in the boot, otherwise I would ve ordered boots there 100%. They really take the time to assess your foot and needs - overall would definitely recommend!

I needed a new pair of ski boots and went to the Bootdoctors in the Taos Ski Valley because of their reputation. I was not disappointed. Margaret who arranged my visit was a delight and took the time to chat with me while I was getting fitted. If you want to compare Wordle strategies with anyone, Margaret is definitely a go-to person!Ian helped me to select my boots and specialized insoles (I have a difficult foot to fit) and then spent over an hour molding my foot to them and grinding the edges of the insoles so that they would fit perfectly into my boot, which they did.I have been skiing for over 50 years and have bought my share of boots in that time. What I really appreciated about Ian--and this is where his expertise shone--was the way he guided me in my choice of boots. He listened to my initial needs, how my feet felt in the different boots I tried on (5 different pairs) and each time came back with a pair that fit me better. Number 5 was the hand in glove pair. His expertise was in listening, learning from me and only then advising, a rare combo. And he spent two hours plus with me.I can't wait for the first snowfall to try my boots out and Ian said that should I feel anything amiss, no matter how small, to bring the boots back to him and he would correct the problem as needed.This is a long-winded review, but I wanted to share my experience and say that you will find no better and more expert technician and place to get your ski boots from than Ian, Margaret and the Bootdoctors in Taos.

Can't recommend Taos bootdoctor's enough. The staff are Masterfit certified (the relevant and highest industry certification for the field) and the shop lead, Charlie, is actually an instructor for that program. These guys are so good that when I went to a boot shop in Salt Lake City they told me I'd be better off having the work done in Taos. I worked with assistant store manager Ian on a fit volume with my stock liners and he had a thoughtful and measured approach to address my issue. Great shop, great staff and truly among the best in the industry.

I just bought my first pair of ski boots at Bootdoctors. What a great experience thanks to Charlie Bradley. He was exceptionally thorough and nailed the fitting. I ll definitely go back for more ski equipment in the future. If you re in TSV, check out Bootdoctors and ask for Charlie!

My husband and I popped in in the middle of summer to get fitted for custom ski boots. An unusual time yes, but Charlie and his coworker were warm and incredibly helpful. Though there was a slim stock, Charlie found and fitted us with exactly what we needed for the upcoming season. Extremely helpful advice at no extra charge! This was a very personalized and custom fitting. Easily worth the $$ considering a good pair of ski boots will last a very long time. Thank you thank you!! So so so much better than whatever you get with rentals.

They were great. I had a boot disaster on our annual ski trip and they bent over backwards to help me. Highly recommend!
