If you want a quiet spot to sleep and shower while traveling, this is it.Perfect sleeping conditions - clean, quiet, cool, and dark (black out curtains.Very simple setting. Nothing fancy.Bonus! Great food and friendly staff at Penny's Diner, on the same property. We had sundaes the night we arrived, and delicious Sunrise Scrambles the next morning.You must make reservations ahead of time for the hotel rooms. Very reasonable rates.Good lighting around hotel, diner, and parking lot. Diner is open and staffed 24/7. I felt safe here.

Always has the Wyndham app blocked. Apparently they won't hire enough housekeeping. They don't serve breakfast. They expect you to buy from their restaurant. The owner is obviously super cheap.

The woman checked me in was not professional, used profanity in her casual chit chat with me. Example, she said, "I have to deal with the railroad a$$hole$ and put up with their $hit..." Also I have a registered service dog and I always volunteer his ID at check-in and said "since y'all aren't allowed to ask, I just like to show it so you know for sure". She "no, I can and do demand to see the registration ID and if they don't like it I can refuse service to anyone". Not true, she needs education on ADA laws. She also requires the service dog to be 25 lbs or less. She said "some of these people show up with 50 lb service dogs..." She clearly doesn't understand service dogs. The most popular breeds (for the trainability, intelligence, and temperament) are retrievers, labs, boxers, German shepherds, etc... which are ALL over 50 lbs. For the room, it was clean, but there are no covers on the bed, no blanket, just the top sheet. I stay in hotels over 300 nights a year with my job and have never had that before. When I took my dog out she was leaning on a car hood talking with the workers from the hotel and Penny's while shaking her head at my medium breed boxer. Very awkward, uncomfortable, snide, unwelcoming, and unprofessional. She made it so off-putting that we never even went to Penny's to eat.

Rooms are clean. But it's hard to get a room they cater to the railroad employees.Food & drinks: Restaurant in the parking lot.Great food. Penny's Diner.

Check in at Penny's Diner. Very good price. Large room. Clean. No blanket or comforter. Free parking in parking lot. 20 no-commercial movie channels. Microwave & fridge. 2023.03.18th

This was 5 stars because 10 wasn t allowed. Very very clean, nice room. The bathroom, shower and toilet was absolutely perfect. The bed was very comfortable and the staff at ( Pennie s diner) was amazing. Check in was done at the diner. Speaking of the diner, great food, great service and great prices. Better than any El Paso hotel. I will stay here any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

It was about 7 miles from Sunland and down a road to the border crossing, but the hotel was easy to find and most importantly it was very clean. There is a diner (check-in for the hotel) and very nice people working there. We stayed one night. The bed was comfortable and there was a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and hair dryer in room. Would stay again because it was very clean. The shower was a little different than most hotels the bath faucet had a little ring to pull down and it isn t really visible.

I don't like to give bad reviews, but this stay was the least best stay ever. Only two employees, no manager, took for ever to check in and out. Water went out over night, I know it's not there fault for that, but no discount, no receipt, no body knew what they were doing and again no manager to be found during our entire stay and the little bit of staff could or would not do anything to accommodate us.

I stayed at the Travelodge by Wyndham after a long road trip.It was a pleasure. Very clean, comfortable,with amazing food outside the door (Penny s Dinner) and excellent customer service.Highly recommended!!!
