I've taken my 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe to Master Tech for several years and they've always done a wonderful job. They keep the most detailed service notes on my car I've ever seen anywhere. Ari, the owner, usually calls personally to go over my service, and Amy, who runs the front desk, is extremely personable and helpful. They do keep the car longer than some other shops but I see that as what it takes to do the job right. I am leaving Santa Fe and am genuinely sad to be saying goodbye to the reliability and honesty I could always count on from Master Tech.

We are traveling around the country touring in our Motorhome, towing a car.... based out of N. Myrtle Beach, S.C. ....... we were in Albuquerque, changed our own motor oil and after we started up to pull out, the Motorhome hesitated on kicking into gear to move. We were perplexed.We drove to Sante Fe, spent the night in a Walmart parking lot. Got up to leave the next day and the Motorhome really had trouble getting into gear. We were very confused. Looked on Google map for a garage that could check out our Ford Triton V-10. We found the closest place was Master Tech Auto Repair.We definitely made the right decision. The owner Ari Gordon came out...especially since we were blocking the road with our Motorhome towing a car, and we told him our situation and he immediately checked under the hood and diagnosed what the problem was. Which turned out to be out of transmission fluid ????.He had one of his mechanics come out and add a few quarts. Originally Ari said he wouldn't charge us for such a quick fix, but it ended up taking way more than a quart of ATF. So paying a reasonable amount for service provided to us on the street was not an issue. We were more than happy to compensate.The quick response to our desperate need and providing honest mechanical needs to people not knowing any garage..... priceless!!!Good to know there are reliable, honest and knowledgeable mechanics out there.Great job Ari and new technician Sam.

I took my vehicle in to have a problem diagnosed and fixed. Amy was extremely friendly and assure me Ari would take care of it. Ari called me when he found the issue and took care of it in a timely manner and at a fair price. Most of all, these people were friendly, fair, and HONEST! I definitely recommend Master Auto Tech!

Amy and Ari were great. We re from Colorado and broke down South of Santa Fe. We had the car towed to the shop and Ari was able to diagnose the problem and repair it (loose hose to the turbo). When he test drove it he found another issue when the car accelerated. We ve had this issue since we purchased it. He replaced a solenoid and the car runs great now. Great service and quality repair work.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

My older Ford 250 truck started misfiring at speed. Three trips to the Ford dealer and $500 yielded absolutely no solution. Took it to Master Tech Auto Repair in Santa Fe and within 30 minutes owner Ari Gordon had found the trouble - a broken spark plug. Since then I've taken the truck there about half a dozen times with issues from routine maintenance to a mouse infection. Every single time the issues were addressed professionally and on time. They even paid for an Uber to get me home when I had to leave the truck. Great customer service and great mechanical skills. Highly recommend this business.

After 10 years of not owning a car due to living downtown in a big city, my partner and I moved to Santa Fe, having purchased a lovely but pretty run-down 2008 Ford Escape. I knew we needed a good deal of service to keep our car running, so I looked up local reviews, and really liked what I read about Ari doing a full work-up on your car, and helping you prioritize what repairs should be done first, second, and so on. And that's exactly what it was like. Complete transparency, thorough attention to detail, and really good repair work. Amy at the front desk is invaluable and extremely kind and friendly as well. At pick up, Ari took the time to stay past closing to explain exactly what they had done, and walk me through how to maintain important aspects of my car, since it had been such a long time since I'd owned. And to top it off, a few weeks after all the repairs were done, I was rear-ended. I called up Amy, who told me to just have it towed there. Without even telling me they were going to do it, they just paid the tow-truck driver, and held my car until the insurance approvals had gone through. Ari patiently got on the phone with me a few times, explaining the process, and helping me figure out how to save the most money during the repair process. Really can't say enough about the personal service and attention to detail at Master Tech.

Ari and his team are among the best master mechanics we have ever gone to. Ari is extremely detailed and thorough in his explanation of the diagnosis and work performed on the vehicle. They are truly masters at working on Ford vehicles, specifically our Ford Focus. I would definitely recommend Ari and his shop for any and all repair and diagnosis needs. The staff, specifically Amy, are so attentive and reassuring. Ari was able to diagnosis an electrical issue with our brakes and fix the issue and had us back on the road in a reasonable amount of time and at a fair price. We also felt so confident in his shop that we have them do a complete mechanical inspection of the vehicle. Again, a great service, and they identified and addressed several issues and now are vehicle is back on the road in tip top shape.

(This is actually written by Carl.) The specific work performed was mounting a gauge pod on the dash of a 2013 Mustang GT and installing a set of gauges. Overall, Master Tech does an outstanding job on your vehicle. They do a thorough and complete job with great attention to detail. The job will be done right. Their customer service is also excellent. Amy is very complete obtaining necessary information to schedule an appointment. Ari takes a personal interest in confirming required repairs or modifications to the vehicle. He explains all aspects of the job, and listens to your questions or concerns. He will provide answers and a detailed explanation in an understandable manner. This continues until after you pick up your vehicle with a high level of quality work performed.Service: Electrical

Master Tech is the best auto shop I've been to. I drive a 94 Mazda B3000 with 280K miles on the original motor, and Ari & the Master Tech team have kept it on the road and reliable. Ari is honest, thorough, and very skilled. If you ask, for a small fee he will make recommended repairs with quotes each job is prioritized and it gives you a good sense of what is to come for your vehicle. I also like to do easier jobs at home, and Ari would recommend which ones I should get into or not. He would personally show me the repairs made, and the 2-year warranty is the real deal on parts and labor. This place is busy all the time because such good mechanics are hard to come by. Ari is a great guy. My wife and I are on our honeymoon and started feeling some trouble with our transmission & Ari took us right away to help get us back on the road. He was very knowledgeable and very cool. Knows a lot about Ford Vans & Trucks! Especially the old school ones like my 86 E150. Highly Recommend!!!

My dad took his ford ranger here for a new transmission a few years ago. It had extremely low miles for the year of the truck. $4000 later for a rebuild transmission my dads truck was not fixed. It kept breaking down. After the THIRD time taking It back (one time had to be towed) possibly a 4th time, my poor parents had lost trust in this mechanic and their work they provided on the truck. They gave my parents the option for them to put the old transmission back and refund them or try to continue to fix the transmission they put in. At this time my mother was diagnosed with cancer and my parents needed a vehicle to go to dr appointments and didn t have the time nor any more money ($4000 was not a small price) to deal with this issue. I feel Ari was unsympathetic and did not back his work. Later we found out that ford dealership would ve charged them the same price!!!! I would never recommend this place because I witnessed the stress ,aggravation and lost time my parents went through. Take your vehicle to the dealership because at least they fix It correctly and if not it s guaranteed and they make good on their mistakes if there are issues.Service: Transmission

As a woman finding an auto mechanic who listens and understands and does not resort to condescension or simply blow off anything I have to say about what's wrong with my vehicle is golden. An honest mechanic who has built his reputation on the principle of integrity is usually considered an oxymoron. Not so, in the case of Master Tech's owner and head mechanic, Ari Gordon. He listens, he checks it out, he gives a printed estimate of work needed and if he encounters a bigger problem, he calls. No surprises when I go to claim my vehicle.I first used Ari and Master Tech after spending $3500. on an electrical problem no one else could locate. It took Ari a day or so to find the problem, BUT HE FOUND IT and repaired it. As a customer , that was worth the extra money to know the problem was solved once and for all. Also he always reviews what was done with my car and takes my vehicle for a test drive with me in case I have any questions. I recommend him highly to friends, especially woman friends. I have been using Master Tech for many years and have never regretted it.His staff has been with him for years and as a small business owner myself, that loyalty and the cheerful work environment speaks volumes.

We had a great experience with Master Tech. We are tourists, and the dreaded "Check Engine" light had come on in our 13-year-old Ford Ranger. Relying on Google + reviews, we came here and had excellent service. Ari was very thorough in diagnosing the problem and gave me specific, to-the-penny estimates of what it would cost to repair it. When we went to pick it up, Ari took me for a test drive in it (the difference was noticeable), suggested a few things I might want my mechanic at home to do in the next six months, and popped the hood to show me the work his guys had done. In addition to that, the waiting room and restroom are spotless, have really great magazines, and Amy at the front desk gave us lots of good tourist advice. We are off in the newly-repaired truck to investigate one of her suggestions this afternoon.

Of all the mechanics I have been to in my lifetime, this shop is far and above the best of all of them. I have been taking my truck here for about seven years now and have always had quality work done. On top of that, Ari (the owner) has always been really good about respecting my available budget and helping to prioritize what work needs to be done right away and what can wait until I have more funds available. From what I have seen, Ari checks every vehicle and takes it for a test drive after his mechanics are done with it and before returning it to the customer and always takes the time to go over the work that was done and answer any questions I have. Customer service is the name of the game at this shop. Every time I take my truck in it comes back with a few small things fixed for free that I didn't even ask for. This last time the rattling side view mirror was fixed, the sticky door ajar switch was cleaned, and my dusty dashboard was wiped clean. Without me even asking! This shop is an easy five stars, which is rare for mechanics anywhere. Highly recommended.

I would like to share with you the amazing experience I had with Master Tech Auto Repair Santa Fe. After bringing my car to many shops, even the one representing my car brand, I have never felt so taken care of! Honest and friendly staff gave me a fare estimate and my car was fixed in a timely fashion. Ari took time to explain in detail what was wrong with my car and had a extensive and very professional report to show me as well. This made me feel comfortable and confident that I was not being taking advantage of and my money was being well invested. All of the work done in this shop is guaranteed. Another amazing service that was complementary, was a car they loaned me to drive while my car was being repaired. This was a lifesaver and kept me from having to spend money renting a car. I would highly recommend Master Tech Auto Repair Santa Fe! I will never take my car anywhere else in town again! Thanks so much Master Tech!!

I have been having my Fords serviced at Master Tech Auto Repair for more than twenty years. My current Ford is a '99 Taurus. I like this car because of its comfort and modest appearance, and sometimes use it for travel in Mexico. I can count on Master Tech to keep it running reliably. Ari and his wife Tammy founded and still run the company, it has grown into a good-sized shop with an excellent reputation. They use modern diagnostic equipment and careful record-keeping to make sure my Ford doesn't surprise me with trouble. When I bring it in for servicing Ari personally checks it over and often drives it around putting it through its paces. And when I'm around I see that he's doing the same for his other customers. The guy is a life-time gear head and knows his Ford/Mercury's inside and out. I've been to the dealer (sorry Ari) where you talk to the desk guy and the service tech is some unknown entity (perhaps a teen-age trainee) and that's not for me.

The owner was super kind and friendly! (So was the front desk receptionist) it seems they have a lot of regulars and are incredibly welcoming. Casey the owner was kind enough to take a look at my car when my boyfriend and I stopped in Santa Fe during our roadtrip! After stopping in, we felt a lot better proceeding on our trip (and made it to our destination) and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable car place!

Ari and team do excellent work. They tried all they could to save my Cummins Turbo engine in my '04 RAM 2500 but finally came down to installing a lower mileage used one. The entire process took just two weeks, even with the time spent to try and save it. Everything was explained thoroughly. Runs like new now and has warranty! Awesome. Thanks Ari and everyone at Master Tech! Highly recommended.

Awesome customer service. Amy , the receptionist was so welcoming,accommodating,and genuinely concerned about my issues with my car and immediately scheduled an appointment right away.The mechanic,Ari was so knowledgeable and detailed about the issue I came in with and took his time to explain to me what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. Not only did he fix the problem but showed me what exactly the problem was as we test drove the car.I will definitely be bringing my car back to have it serviced. He definitely has a customer for life!

Was referred here from another mechanic who simply didn't want to deal with all the number of repairs I wanted done. Ari took the time to sort out all my potential repairs and list them in a sequence of importance to be done. We tackled everything that was nagging me and my Ford Explorer and he made a detailed list for the next future important services to do next time the vehicle needs service.The staff was excellent polite I feel like I have a new family when it come to a place to get my Truck serviced they even provided us a ride to pick it up when it was finished . Nothing but 5 stars here if you want it done right and also to be treated with respect as a paying customer!!

Ari and the crew are amazing and honest individuals. Ari takes his time and in explaining things I may not understand. He is always willing to answer any question I have and does not become impatient with me. I love that he also takes the time to do test drives to better understand the noises or experiences I am having with the car. Their transportation service is also phenomenal and I always make it to work on time, no matter when I bring my car in. The woman at the front desk, Amy, is very outgoing and energetic and makes you feel welcomed as soon as you walk through the door. You will always be greeted with a smile and leave feeling confident, comfortable, and understood. Keep up the amazing work guys!!

My family has been bringing our vehicles to Master Tech Auto Repair for well over 10 years. They have taken care of our Fords, Hondas, and Mazdas. My experience has been nothing but positive. Ari and his staff are friendly, honest, professional and caring. The work they do is thorough and reasonably priced. Great shop and even better folks running it. While traveling across NM my son ran into issues with his AC/Blower. I googled for a shop in route and came across the great folks at Master Tech. Amy was GREAT helping my son out. Master Tech gave my son a ride to his hotel and picked him up when his car was ready. Let me be clear, we were ripe for the pickings. Master Tech diagnosed the issue and fixed it for a fair price. The great folks of Sante Fe and very lucky to have this shop in their midst. I was referred to Master Tech about three years ago and have been taking my car there ever since. Ari has always taken the time to explain what has been done to the vehicle when I go pick it up. He also talks over what needs to be done in the future. He and his staff have always been professional. Once when I took my car in for a oil pan gasket, he explained that while my car was being worked on the oil pump was broken and he replace it free of charge. I would recommend Master Tech to anyone who asked me where to take their vehicles.

Best mechanic experience yet. Ari really took the time to explain to us what was wrong with our van, fixed the problem according to our budget and let us know what to expect in the future. Plus their work is guaranteed. Really trustworthy people here. No wonder they have such a high rating. Also Joy is the sweetest!

Our family of 4 was traveling through Santa Fe on vacation. We broke down and called Master Tech to see if there was any way they could work us in that day. I cannot praise their work enough; they were extremely friendly, even going so far as to have employees move their parked cars to find room for us to drop the 5th wheel trailer we were pulling while our truck was worked on. The mechanic was extremely knowledgeable and they got us back on the road before closing time. Their price was fair, even though they could have really stuck it to us since we were in a bind. It's great to see a business still providing great service for a fair price. Thanks Master Tech!!

Ari and his crew are amazing! They took great care in fixing up my car and finding out what was wrong with it. Ari took the time to explain everything to me personally which was very helpful. I would go back to them and recommend them in a heart beat.

Best mechanic and best people in santa fe Hands down! Ari and the mechanics know exactly what they are doing, and are super friendly and open. Very thorough, knowledgable and equipped with all the right techonology and tools, and honest prices! Seriously No BS here! And Amy at the desk is such a joy to be around and talk to! She will take Great care of you from beginning to end! Get the job done right the first time, Everytime with master tech! Thank you guys for all your hard honest work you have done for my family and the whole community!
