My elder Father has been taking his vehicle to this Brake Masters for years. He s always said that the old manager Mr. Marshal Martinez always treated him the best, and was very fair and honest with him. My Father told me that last week he took his vehicle there to get a quote on a battery terminal that he needed. He said that the asked for Marshal Martinez, and was told he was no longer there, and that he had retired. The new manager and the worker quoted my Dad close to 300.00 for the battery parts that he needed. My Dad went to a nearby Autozone, found the part, and they installed it for him for the under 20.00. My dad mentioned to me that he would no longer go to this store because of the new management and employees. He again stated to me the he wished Marshal was still there because he knew how to treat people fairly, and was a great fit for this store. He told me that he new management is committing highway robbery.

Great and timely service. Had to have all four brakes redone and new rotors. They got it all done in one day! They did a detailed report and found shotty work that had been done by a previous mechanic. We had an issue and brought it back a week later and they identified it and fixed it free of charge. Very friendly helpful staff.

We came in to this location in a bind. We had to get to Denver, CO by a certain time. Unfortunately, our spare car needed brake service prior to the drive. Fernando and Andrew were literally to the rescue. They provided prompt, friendly and thorough service for us while we waited in their comfy lobby. We are so appreciative and would recommend this location to anyone needing repairs of this nature in or around Santa Fe. Thank you and your team for making an emergency seem less than so.

My front in alignment resulted on inspection in several front end parts that were in replacement. I appreciated the professionalism in relaying and receiving approval or disapproval of the intended work. This is my third trip here in more than six years. All have been the same quality experience.

I had an unknown noise and some squeaky brakes. They did a great job diagnosing the problems and working with me about costs of what to fix. I feel much better driving a safe vehicle. Thanks

If you have work done here, be sure to check your vehicle before and after to make sure nothing is missing inside or outside the vehicle.I have previously always had alignments done here and have been satisfied with the service. However, when I went to leave, I noticed that the wheel covers were missing. When I got the manager to come out and look the wheels with me, he assured me that my wheels would not accommodate covers and even asked me if I had another Prius (insinuating I was confused). I insisted that the car had these wheel covers. So, when we went back into his office to review his "before" pictures of the car, you could see the wheel covers. Then, when we went back out to the car, low and behold, the covers had been put on. He tried to convince me I had looked at the wrong car and had I even tried to enter my car with the FOB. I assured him that I had seen my car, walked all around it, the half bra was on the car, the license plate was right, so it didn't matter whether I had tried to get into the car or not. It WAS guy car!!! I am disgusted that he wouldn't fess up to being wrong about the wheel covers and the his guys had just likely missed putting them back on. Why they had to lie about this is beyond me. He even told me that they had another Prius in there and that was likely what I had seen. This also was totally bogus. There was no identical car to mine there, nor had mine been moved. I will never go back.

Super fast. Very prompt. Love that. Said I needed a n w serpentine belt. Even tho I just had it replaced. Did not need one. Also they didn't wear in the breaks so when I got new ones I didn't have full breaking power and almost got into an accident because I couldn't stop. So that's a no for me. Idk what exactly it is either but my wheels are already squeaking again so that's frustrating.

I wanted to like this place.... I made an online appt. 3 days prior for a wheel alignment and oil change. I arrived 15 minutes early. Marshall, asked how he could help me and I told him I had an appt. He asked if I called him, or if I made it online. I told him I'd made the appt online. He laughed and said he doesn't look at online appts, that he was booked for the day, and wouldn't be able to get to my truck for several hours, if at all that day. I explained I had driven 50 miles from northern New Mexico for this appt. He shrugged.I asked if he could call another Brake Masters location, which he grudgingly did, but they also were booked. I'm happy he is so busy, but this is no way to treat a customer. If you are a franchise, and part of an national, online appointment system, honor the appointments. No apology... just a general sense of not caring. I won't be back. I will say that the facility was clean, and offered complimentary bottled water, hence the 2 stars, rather than one.

Horrible service by the new guy at the front desk. Rude and not knowledgeable. Had an appointment and told me I was going to have to wait till they got to my vehicle, whenever they got to it. I d have to leave it. Whats the point on making an appointment. Just very rude and wanted to act professional but didn t work.

My first red flag was my initial call on a Wednesday to ask about appointment availability that Friday. All I could get out was "I'd like to bring my car in," and not "on Friday," before I was interrupted about how they're busy but if I bring it in right now they might be able to but there's no guarantees, etc.; which I couldn't do and was the reason I was asking to bring it in Friday. I was talked over no matter how many times I said I wasn't done talking. Astoundingly rude.I had my brakes changed, an oil change, and a tire rotation. Shortly after my visit, I started hearing a metallic clanking coming from inside a wheel. Second red flag. I took it back in to have it looked at, specifying it was coming from inside a wheel, but of course the sound went away when I was there. They double-checked their work on the brakes - but did not double-check their work on the tire rotation. After all, I'm a woman, what do I know about my car...The sound came back and I finally took it to a mechanic in Albuquerque yesterday, 1300 miles after the tire rotation. They left one of my lug nuts loose inside my wheel. Exactly where I said the noise was coming from. Twenty more red flags. When I called to tell them, all I got was more gaslighting ("I told you to bring it in." "I DID, do you not remember how it didn't make the noise when I was there so all y'all checked was the brakes?") and silence.I knew this exchange would go this way from my first phone call. Between the gaslighting and sloppy work, clearly I will never be taking my car there again.

Took my car in for an alignment, was told I needed over $2,000 worth of parts and labor. Took my car to two local shops for a second opinion. Was told that there wasn t a single thing wrong with my car and that none of what Brake Masters wanted me to replace was necessary! I don t appreciate my time being wasted taking it to this place only to be lied to and ripped off. I am glad I got a second opinion, but it wasted a whole day driving around to these other shops when all they had to do was give me an alignment. Very disappointing and frustrating. I will never trust this place again and be warned to future attendees, this is how Brake Masters makes their money. Always get a second opinion when dealing with this place!

Wouldn't honor a coupon from my phone saying it must be printed. What year is this? Think the problem was something else. Take the coupons off your site if you don't want to honor them. Putting the aggression back in your inbox dipstick.

Rolled into this place at 12:30 in the afternoon with my brakes making the loudest noise. Hadn t ever gotten brakes on my car in 85,000 miles. When I pulled into the parking lot, every bay was full as well as the parking lot. I really didn t think I would make it home safely. I did not tell them this. But they were able to get my car in, get my brakes done and have my car completed by 5:00. Been driving around and the brakes feel great.

I was in a major bind as I was in from California, and I started having trouble with my brakes on I-40. I made an appointment from a motel room at 2:00 a.m. for 8:00 that morning. I showed up a little late but they honored my appointment and went right to work.Marshall was direct and straightforward, the price was fair, the quality of work was top shelf. I am very happy with the service and I could feel the improvement the minute that I got back in my car.I will likely not use them again as I don't know when I will be back to Santa Fe but I would highly recommend them.Service: Brakes

Last night I ran over a tumbleweed and it tore the undercarriage protective covering on my car and was dragging and making a horrible noise. So I took my car in to be looking at and despite not having an appointment the Manager, Marshall, was very accommodating and fit my car in between appointments. His employee Jose took a look at it and presented 2 options. Then Jose fixed it in a jiffy. I am most appreciative of how flexible and accommodating they were to resolve and fix my car. Plus, they are super friendly. I highly recommend this company if you need any work done on your car or truck.Service: General repairs & maintenance

All of the stars to these guys! My car started making a horrible screeching sound, thankfully we were right next to this shop. The gentlemen there got it in right away and found a rock between the brake pad and rotor! They didn't even charge me as it fell under the free "brake inspection" category. We are so grateful for their prompt service and honesty. Highly recommended!!

Had brakes checked. Scheduled appointment, was seen within 7 minutes despite problems with online scheduler. Was surprised that free brake check showed minimal wear and no work needed. I was in and out in 30 minutes. An honest mechanic..what a concept. Will use them for all work in the future.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! DANGEROUS MISTAKES!We went to this shop to get a broken O2 sensor replaced on our Ford Escape but ended up paying outrageous prices for a faulty and ultimately dangerous repair. They had to take off part of the exhaust line to get to the sensor but ended up leaving off the exhaust nuts when they replaced it. 200 miles down the road it ended up damaging part of the exhaust line.Even worse, they also left the ABS brakes line dangling unsecured beneath the car! When I called to ask for remediation, they had the gall to lie about ever needing to touch the exhaust line.I've sent proof of the additional repairs and headaches but they've done nothing to reimburse me. Terrible mechanic, not worth the headache!

I'd rate this shop zero stars if possible.Long story but basically avoid this place!Day 1Went in to have a couple CV axles replaced.Waited 4 hours in the lobby.Listened to manager make many personal calls regarding paperwork for his new home purchase.Saw multiple customers return to complain about new issues after their initial visit.Listened to manager creatively explain his way out of any accountability.Saw manager struggle for 15-20 mins to find any transaction history for a loyal customer of 5 years. If no records then no warranty replacement.Eventually manager gave in and honored warranty replacement of brake pads.4 hours later my repair was complete.Exhausted from waiting in a lobby for 4 hours I drove away happy.Got on the highway and 20 mins later discovered two new issues.A metal screeching and violent vibration at the steering wheel.Called manager, asked me to return next day.Day 2Dropped off car at 7amReceived at 9am from manager to inform me that they are replacing a CV axle, claimed bad part.Picked up car later that morning. This time I test drove on the highway only to find the vibration still present.I returned.Went on a test drive with a technician, nice guyLearned that he always gets stuck with the 'come backs' from the technician that did the initial repair. Wonders why he's still employed. Questions whether he actually has the years of experience he claims. Also learned that technicians are only required to drive around the block after a repair.Made the new technician drive on the highway to confirm the presence of the vibration. He agrees, something is wrong. We return to the shop for further diagnosis. An hour later I get a call from manager, they are replacing both cv axles again but now have to wait for parts from Albuquerque. They're expected at 1pm.I return at 3pm to pick up.I drive on the highway and are excited that vibration seems to be gone.I don't drive this vehicle often nor over long distances.Day 5The vibration is still there. At this point I lost all confidence in this shop's ability to repair anything reliably. It only took 4 hours of waiting in the lobby to see a pattern lack of accountability and questionable quality. Unfortunately I am one of the unlucky ones. I will now gladly deal with any other shop but this one. Wish me luck on getting my money back.Service: General repairs & maintenance
