Reasonable prices (for Santa Fe). Very busy, but efficient. They did, however, neglect to look at the history of work they did on my car before they tried to charge me for parts that were under warranty.Basically, I had work done on my vehicle, paid $1250 for the parts and labor. 5 months later, my aging car began acting up again. I took it back, and the mechanic tried to tell me they were going to charge me for the same parts they had replaced earlier in the year. After reading my receipt from the initial work, I reminded them about the warranty. It was it not an issue after that. Although it is my belief that it should be the auto shop s responsibility to keep track of such things, it s a good idea to always throughly read and keep your receipts.Over all, I m satisfied with the service, but then again, I m no expert on the matter.

Came in to New Mexico with my dads car going on it's last leg. After attempting several auto shops I was turned down due to not having an appointment. Finally came across this shop which took me right in and started evaluation my dads car immediately. In just a couple of minutes they were about to identify the issue and provided me a quote. Nothing more and nothing extra was pitched to me, just one honest solution. In a couple of hours I picked up my dads car which was driving as good as new. Thank you to the team for taking care of us.

Would give no stars if possible. Owners of this establishment don t respect anyone. Owner Marianne and Mechanic Jose talk about customers behind their backs 24/7. They hold employees paychecks whenever they take a day off work. They promise work quickly and let things sit for 2 to 3 weeks, and get frustrated at customers for calling asking about updates on their work orders and services promised. They rush their employees to be quick, without explaining or willing to teach what they expect done. Getting to the point, you re better taking your money and work to the dealers. Jiffy lube is more professional. Don t waste your money or time. Failed to inspect a vehicle before driving to Arizona. Drive belt was cracking, owner of establishment was told that the drive belt needed to be replaced. They didn t tell the customer and the belt snapped off in the middle of Arizona on the highway. Causing more damage to other parts including the water pump which originally was not faulty. Also causing the customer to sit in 100 degree weather with no a/c. This is a very basic service, that somewhere like jiffy lube or Firestone would not have missed. Especially for a customer who is considered handicapped. Unbelievable experiences. Don t waste your time.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Brakes, Oil change

So far so good with them. First time I went I asked for a service and they actually told me I didn't need it. As we all know with places that do auto work, the honesty is very much appreciated.

I called at 4pm in need of brake repair for my 1 ton truck. Within 3 hours my truck had a 4 wheel brake job done at a very fair price. Highly recommended!

I ve been coming here for over 10 years. The owner and staff have been consistently reliable and courteous. They will point out what you need during oil changes, like filters, but they don t get carried away with upcharges. They ve also helped me with brake pads and rotors.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Brakes, Oil changeServices: Vehicle Inspection, Brakes, Oil change

A nice woman at the counter that got me in & out quickly.I asked about any service specials and she said there weren't any. I later found out that essential workers are supposed to get a discount there. I would have appreciated that but it wasn't offered. I checked my oil level after service and my oil level was a bit low. My vehicle needs an extra quart. I don't feel inclined to return.

I just want to say this place worked with me and were super great! I've lived in Santa Fe for 18 years and I recommend them. The horn was busted on my car and I own an older one. They were able to help me out get the thing working so I could get my license back! They did it for a reasonably cheaper price than anybody else. So check these guys out for your oil changes and everything!Service: Electrical

They do not know their left from right.I left my car with them for five days while I was out of town to diagnose and fix a cylinder 1 misfire code and do a thorough inspection of the vehicle for other problems. It is not just that they failed, it is that they did it with what seemed like a significant lack of attention to detail. For the misfire, the first step was to replace spark plugs and ignition coils. They replaced all spark plugs and apparently only one ignition coil. After picking up the car after five days at their shop, the cylinder misfire code comes back in ONE day. Okay, the fix didn't work, so what's next?Well, I bring it back a few days later to further diagnose, thinking it could be something more than just coils and plugs. Marianne calls me back to say that they realized they replaced the coil for the WRONG cylinder. She says that they are going to put the prior installed new coil into to the cylinder that is misfiring. I then ask, well, then what is going into the slot where the new coil is now if it is going somewhere else? After a little bit it finally clicks. They wanted to put the supposed bad coil that was still there into the spot they had accidently put the new coil, while the new coil went into the bad spot. I had to point this obvious flaw out. They did eventually replace bad one and at no charge, because well, it was their mistake. But even more, when Maryanne calls me to say that I will have two new coils, she points out that two won't be new and that she usually recommends replacing all four at once. Doh! My thought was, and asked this later to her, why not recommend that in the first place rather than replacing just one? Her answer was she was trying to keep my costs down. But she didn't even give me the choice to decide if I would replace all four or not. When asking for a thorough inspection she didn't even tell me this recommendation until after the fact. After picking up the car with the supposedly fixed coil in the right spot (round 2), I drive down the road to check for misfires with my ODB-II reader hooked up. Unfortunately, sure enough there are still misfires. And to top it off, the AC stopped working when it was working just fine the day before. I call Mary Anne and she tells me to come back so she can check the AC out. With no more than 1 minute looking at the car she says I have a leak in my AC system, and that it had been there for a long time. Oh, how funny, I ask why that didn't come up in my requested inspection. She says "You did not say the AC was not working" . Jeepers, mechanic. What good is an inspection if I have to say something is not working in the first place!Oh and, after driving down the road with my ODB-II reader, I pull up to their shop with the misfire info on the device screen. When I pointed to my reader, showing the misfires, she called the reader a "walmart special", saying she has a much better one that she invested a lot of money in. Oh, really? Why am I the one diagnosing my car in 10 minutes , saying the coil fix didn't work, when you had it for six days and you couldn't even quickly tell if the coil swap did the trick with your supposed wonderful diagnostic system? The whole point was to leave the car for a week to fix the misfire problem and to do a thorough inspection. Not only did they not do any diligence on diagnosing and testing fixes to make sure the misfire issue went away, they couldn't tell left from right on which cylinder's coil needed replaced. My car is still not fixed, and now I have no AC. And then when I asked why my AC mysteriously stopped working, I am told "oh, but see right here, there is a leak right there, and it has been there a while. Definitely not caused by us in the shop". While that may be true, not bringing it up in the inspection was again a demonstration of a lack of attention. While Maryanne and her gang are very nice people, I do question their technical shop skills.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection

I REALLY wanted to use this shop, close to my home and woman-owned...but they let me down big time. I went there a few months ago for an oil change, which was relatively uneventful, and went back on January 31st for a car repair estimate, and left my car there for the whole day. I asked how much the charge would be, was told it would be a $60 charge, and was expecting the estimate when I picked up the car at the end of the day but was told they would call me later with it. When I picked up the car I offered to pay the previously quoted charge but the owner said I would pay when picking up the estimate. I waited a whole week, then called several times early in the morning, was put on hold for 15 minutes the first time, and all my subsequent phone calls were left un-returned. I waited another 2 days and called again, on February 3rd, Marianne on the phone told me they were still working on the estimate, the car needed a lot of work and again said she would call me by noon that day (this was last week), before rudely hanging up on me. Once again she NEVER called me back. This is very UNPROFESSIONAL behavior, they could have just told me they did not want my business and did not want to work on my car, and we would have not wasted all this time. Bad customer experience and not a reliable business. Sadly, I DO NOT recommend Auto Care 2000.(I went to 2 other shops after this experience, both shops released an estimate to me promptly at car pick up, the 3rd one only needed 4 hours for a check-up, and was given courteous service, prompt communication, and detailed, clear, and reasonable repair estimate when I left the shop.)- UPDATE on 02.14.2023: Seems this review got this business my attention, after almost 3 weeks of waiting (see above) and after posting my review here this morning, I received a phone voice message, stating the estimate has been ready for a while, stating I failed to pick it up when prompted (?? I was NEVER prompted, see above) and other unpleasant accusations. This is all untrue, and such an unfortunate experience, the owner knows in her heart what is true, I have witnesses and phone call logs of all I have written above, will be keeping the voice message as a reference for this experience and refer this matter to the BBB.At this point, I have NO USE for an estimate from this questionable and untrue business, they can keep it. I found a much better shop and will go to them!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

I just took my new (to me) car in for its first oil change. After driving to 2 separate Jiffy Lubes and seeing a line of cars at each, I happened to drive by this establishment. I pulled in, ran inside, and asked what the wait would be. It was 12PM on a Saturday, so I was very surprised when they told me no wait. Everyone was very polite, and my car was in and out in about 20 minutes.I would highly recommend them for a quick oil change. I ll definitely be taking my car back there.

I would rate this business zero stars if I could. I had worked with Marianne several other times with no problem, but this time she had my car towed away from the shop with no warning - they never called and asked my permission or told me it was in danger of being towed. She offered to pay $100 of the cost to get my car out of the tow lot, THEN CALLED THE BANK AND HAD THE CHECK CANCELLED! She is an absolute scam artist. Their customer service is abominable, and now I'm stuck with a huge tow bill. It's sad that this mechanic is untrustworthy, and their desk person is incompetent. I will never go here again, and do not recommend it.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

So quick and efficient. They changed my oil in 30 minutes and the Toyota Dealer was taking 2.5 hours. Plus they didn't try to add on a bunch of extra service items.

If they quote you for parts, make sure they install the ones they quoted you for and not a cheaper inferior product and charge the same amount for the higher quality parts. Quoted and received a copy listing parts for one brand of shocks, they installed a cheaper brand without mentioning it to me or verifying I was ok with it. Had to take another day off work, just to argue with them and have them install the correct ones they quoted me for. Been going to this shop for years for oil changes, wont be patronizing their business any longer. Most people wouldn't even know they were getting gibbed.

I only took my car here for the whole year I lived in Santa Fe, and each time they were fantastic. Female owned, professional, kind, and speedy. They were always great about getting my car in at the last minute, and were pet friendly when I had my sister's dog with me. LOVED it there!

The shop and Marianne are fabulous. They are welcoming, deeply honest about what needs to be done and never suggest that I do something to my car that isn't truly needed. They are always willing to check and answer any question I may have about my car. In fact Marianne has talked me out of unnecessary services or found less expensive solutions. This shop is a priceless gem for Santa Fe!

Took my car here for an oil change, and when I returned to pick it up, the car was parked directly next to the Cerillos sidewalk entirely unlocked with all the windows down. Unsure why these people are trying to get my car and everything in it stolen.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

I was traveling over the Labor Day holiday and my car broke down in Santa Fe. No Acura dealer and most shops were closed for vacation. The lady that owns this shop was wonderful! So helpful and concerned about my well being. She helped me with a towing company and kept my car safely locked in her facility until it could be repaired on Tuesday. She got the part I needed and only charged me two hours labor. Incredibly honest and compassionate. I feel so lucky and had such a great experience! A woman traveling alone not getting fleeced by an auto mechanic! Imagine that! Thank you Auto Care 2000!

We broke down not far from this shop on New Years Eve. They were slammed and didn t have much time, but they were kind enough to take a look at our car anyway. They were able to find the problem and get us back on the road in under an hour. They were so kind and honest and very transparent along the way. We couldn t recommend more highly!

I have been taking my cars there for many years. For a car repair shop I find them qualified and honest. I have never felt ripped off or overcharged. I even take my new cars there for oil changes. Much better than the dealership. If they can't do something they will tell you. Very pleasant to deal with.
