I m giving 3 stars because they were all very nice people as far as I remember and as far as I know they did their job ok but every time that I ve gone to them for anything from an oil change (because I don t want to mess it up by doing it myself) to my dive shaft or whatever it was that broke and was messed up on a previous car, I ve been overcharged and taken advantage of. The previous car id taken to them had sort of broken down after I d run over a curb and I went in to get my alignment fixed and some new tires because it was no longer driving straight and had the spare tire on, they tried to tell me that I needed to get my rack and pinion replaced, but then when I d next talked to them they d changed their mind saying that it needed a new fuel pump or other part. Which to me is kind of suspicious but what do I know, I m just some woman trying to get my alignment or oil change done, the most recent time I d gone, I d taken it to get my oil change done and then all they d asked me was if I d wanted my air filter changed, wiper fluid refilled and to do a rotation + check if my breaks needed anything, they never asked if I wanted them to do any other diagnostics on my car but they still did and then charged me way too much for said diagnostics. And then when they d finished with all of that, they tried to tell me I needed all new motor mounts because the exhaust was out of place and had torn and stretched them which according to them would cost $1,800 to replace, so I declined to have that work done as I like most people am not rich and don t have all the money in the world to be worrying about that at this moment in time, but when I finally got an appointment with the very high rated and trusted company I d purchased the vehicle from, they said that there s nothing wrong with the motor mounts, only the exhaust being out of its holder thing which is apparently an easy fix, which again makes me question what their motives were at Sourhern Blvd Auto. Like I ve said before they re very nice people especially the wonderful woman, I believe her name was Kathleen, but I m not sure I ll be returning to them any longer due to they re overpricing of everything.

Southern Automotive diagnosed and fixed an overheating issue I was having with my grandma's 1966 Ford Mustang. They did a good job and the price was about right. They're friendly and do good work. I would definitely bring my car here again.

Best place in Rio Rancho to get your vehicles repaired. The owner Cody and his mechanics are super knowledgeable and the prices arent bad either. If you want it fixed right take it to Mr. Cody Berry at Southern Boulevard Auto.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. From the towing guy to the shuttle lady, to the front desk to the mechanics, I am impressed with the honesty and kindness, as well as the affordability of this auto repair service. Martin, Gilbert and Kathleen are really kind and helpful. An honest, Christian company who doesn't take you to the cleaners. Nothing fancy with all the extras, just good people who are honest and affordable. A friend referred me to this place and I will be referring others. Highly impressed!

Time and time again Southern Blvd Auto has done right by me. Being a single female you need an automotive repair shop you can trust. Well, I trust the team here. Although John is the owner he employs the best team in Cody, William and James. I'm so happy that I found this place. Cody was fantastic. I had some extenuating circumstances with my Taurus and he and the team at So Blvd Auto went above and beyond to get me back on the road. Excellent communication and superior quality of service was experienced from their tow truck driver to everyone I interacted with. They went out of their way to help me at a time I really needed it. A very pleasant lady (sorry, I don't remember the name) answered my first phone call and got me in touch with one of their techs Cody. They were very honest in explaining what was needed and why, along with pricing, they scheduled me the same day I called even though they had a packed schedule and were VERY busy that day. Did great work on my car, updated me throughout the day and had it done by the end of the day. Highly recommend this shop with outstanding employees and customer service!

I think I already did this, but I'll say it again. They were professional, communicative, timely, and above all, honest. They saved us at least $1500. We'll be back there from oil changes to mileage maintenance, to any other issue we have with our cars. Shout out to James for his patience explaining so many things to me, and not talking down to a female. He spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with me and was professional, AND had a sense of humor. Thanks, and we'll be back!

I went for a diagnostic on my 2018 Hyundai Accent. My battery and oil light came on. I took it to them and it took them about a week and a half just to get a diagnostic on it. I told them it was possibly my alternator to which they confirmed. I was paying through an extended warranty company. I gave them all the info they needed such as my contract number and exactly how to get ahold of the rep. I called a week later and they told me they couldn t get ahold of the company. After I still didn t hear from them for another couple days I called them back. They said the same thing about not being able to get ahold of them. I called the company myself and they answered immediately. I called the mechanics back and told them to call right now cause there s no wait times. They called me back saying that they don t have a replacement alternator in town and would have to order it and that I would have to pay for shipping. Another couple of days goes by and it s complete! I picked up my car and that same day a couple hours later I broke down again with the same lights popping up. They gave me a free tow back to the shop. About another week goes by and they tell me it was a defective part. They replaced it and I picked up my car. When they drove my car to the front the guy said he was resetting a light. I didn t think about it till I was driving home and now my engine light is on. I called them back mad because they ve already had my car for about a month and now that I have it back my engine light is on. The guy told me to swing it on back he didn t apologize or anything! I didn t take it back cause when I took it back after the first time it still wasn t fixed. I took it to the dealership and they told me that my intake valve wasn t plugged back in!

This place is wonderful. I contacted them after an unexpected issue with my car. Cody and his team were incredibly helpful and were able to diagnose the problem and replace my radiator the same day. I cannot thank them enough!

I recently had an issue with the battery light and the service charging system warnings intermittently coming on when driving, as a Retired Service Consultant I know this type of diagnosis can be like chasing your tail attempting to locate the cause. I took my vehicle to the Technicians at Southern Blvd. Automotive , after they ran their diagnosis they found that my alternator was failing. I left my vehicle with them for repairs. William called later afternoon the same day and said my vehicle was ready, that was sooner than I expected. If your looking for "Top notch automotive repair" , look no further. They've earned my business and deserve a 5 star rating for sure! Thanks again Cody and the guys for getting me back on the road.Service: Electrical repair

First time here. Good experience. Highly recommend.My vehicle is 30 years old, and I want to keep it running. Runs well considering its age, but with a few issues. And due to its age, it s not equipped for computer diagnostics.We brought it in for a number of things: High-mileage oil change; general safety inspection; repair of driver s side mirror (I messed up the housing when pulling into our garage); test the battery ( extended crank when starting up vehicle); doesn t shift smoothly (automatic transmission used to shift more seamlessly)After working on the vehicle for a day (oil change, diagnostics, etc), the gentleman (my apologies; I m terrible with names) phoned to ask if he could keep it a bit longer to diagnose the extended crank issue. He asked a number of questions (when we brought it in, and also when he called) to zone in on symptoms and get to the root of the problem.Due to the vehicle s limitations in regard to diagnostics, the extended crank proved undiagnosable. Because of this, we were charged only for the oil change. No charge for his time and effort. He was almost apologetic. But it s not his fault the vehicle is too old for computer diagnostics. I greatly appreciate his efforts.And the vehicle seemed to run better on the drive home, maybe due to the oil change or any minor adjustments made under the hood. I feel the vehicle was in very competent hands throughout. I highly recommend this shop!Services: Auto body & trim repair, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Great place. We took our 05 Dodge Durango to get fixed. It wasn't running. Got it back today running Fantastic. The Manager Cody very honest. He had it for a couple of months but well worth the wait.

I am percent grateful for the quality service I received from the repair work and the great customer service from all the staff. I ve taken two of my vehicles there in the past 3 months for repairs. I had previously taken my vehicle to another shop down the road CB won t name names and they were not helpful. I knew when I stepped in the front door at Southern Automotive and was greeted I had come to the right place. Cody went above and beyond problem solving the issues my vehicle was having when others wouldn t. They have great communication and are above all honest. Thank you again Cody and all the staff. I arrived at 0700 with an oil leak. William attended to me and had the car on the lift within 15 minutes. He took me into the repair area to show me the issue: A faulty Oil Pressure Sensor. I was able to pick up my car by 3:30.Great courteous service!Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

Took in my Buick Verano and was stressing out about it. They not only did a great job it was half of what I was expecting it to be. The only thing I would say is be prepared because they are super busy that it wouldn't be an in and out. Beware! We had our vehicle picked up to fix a clutch, we were robbed of all our tools and belonging while in thier the possession. They were the only ones with the key. And they said it was locked the entire time so that means that whoever took the belongings had the keys. So its safe to assume they have thiefs working in the shop. The shop manager in duty refused to help us. I mean if they have cameras then why not review them to see which employee took our work equipment? It's because this isn't the first time they do this. It's a habit. We trusted them and are highly disappointed. The man who towed the vehicle said everything would be fine and they would call to gives us a update on the repairs etc. We had to jeep calling them and at the end all they did was rob us.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I asked them to fully go through a BMW before I stuck any money in it. I told him I had a budget of 3500 . End up being 4200 still leaking fluid AC doesn't work ambient sensor they broke. Try to blame it on me said my son must have pulled up to a parking spot. Car went home to my work and back home. Not one parking pillar. Anyway, I'd have to throw another three grand into it to complete it so I'll basically going to sell it as I would have before this got fixed. Lost 4200 because of them. No thanks never again

I'm not going to go into detail because there is a lot to say and then it'll look like a fake review. I will tell you however that this should be the place you take your vehicle.This place is about courtesy, integrity, and professionalism. I understand there are some reviews about a lack of courtesy and/or communication but I did not experience that. Besides, the owner takes the time to address those issues in the google reviews. How many businesses do that... a handful?Anyway I went in, addressed the concerns I had about my truck knowing I wanted a lot done to it. For a reasonable fee they gave it a full inspection giving special attention to the concerns I mentioned. In the end I basically had the whole undercarriage of my truck rebuilt for a very reasonable price with a near perfect estimate/quote and NO up selling. Also unless a specific part has a limited warranty, this shop guarantees all their work and the parts they use with a 2 year/24k mile warranty. That was a big selling point for me. A nearby competitor has a 3 year/35k but they also charge a premium price for work that's just as good as Southern Blvd Automotive. I believe Southern's prices are super reasonable (but I didn't spend all week shopping around paying for inspections).

Very pleased! Let me start by saying that it has been at least 25 years since I've taken a car to any shop to have work done. Previous bad experiences forced me to educate myself and learn how to fix things myself. Had issues with my Explorer, and couldn't figure it out on my own, so resigned myself to having a professional look at it. Cody had it towed in and diagnosed within the time frame he promised. I authorized the repair, and they had it done well ahead of when they promised. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, and the cost was more than fair. I will not hesitate to bring my car back to them in the future. Great communication, and they got it done quickly. Can I give 100 stars to this business? I truly wish I'd brought my SUV to Southern Boulevard Automotive for maintenance years ago! My neighbor recommended them to me after I'd shared with him that the Toyota dealership wanted over $8,000 to repair my car. The power steering system was basically shot, most of the panel indicator lights were on and just a myriad of things that needed to be corrected. Cody was attentive and more than courteous. I shopped the quote I'd gotten from Firestone, asking other repair shops to beat their price. Cody easily saved me a bunch of money on the needed repairs. Since my suv is the only car we have, they provided a courtesy shuttle to bring me home, then picked me up two days later when the repair was complete. I am confident that I received top-notch customer service at a very fair and reasonable price.I agree with other reviewers here that seeing the Biblical quote on the wall and listening to Christian music in the shop is refreshing! I thoroughly recommend SBA!

I have used this body shop for 12 years with no problem , I have sent others to have their cars repaired,A recent accident has brought my car to them once againat no fault of theirs the insurance company has caused major delays with my repairs. I would of given them 5 stars but the communication with James has been lacking and frustrating , they are kind respectful and honest . I would like to continue using them for as long as I own a car. I flew into Albuquerque to pick up an auction car, and the clutch needed to be replaced immediately. When every other shop was busy for weeks, Southern Boulevard Automotive came through that very day. They were upfront, transparent, professional, and reasonably priced. Though there was an issue with my repair, it was covered under NAPA's warranty, but thanks to Southern Boulevard Automotive being a member of their nationwide program.If I ever need automotive service in the area again, I'd have no hesitation returning here. They helped me get places within a few minutes while I waited (food and library, both nearby), and were generally just nice people.I've done all my own work for 18 years, but didn't want to change a clutch on the side of the road, and so went here. No regrets.
