Great people. Extremely helpful, professional, and did their best to get me in and out as fast as possible before last week's winter storm hit Texas and the area while I was stranded because my transmission was slipping out of gear, going into limp mode. I was able to stay just ahead of the winter storm and make the 16 hour drive safely because of their efforts. Thanks guys. God bless.

Had a flat on a road trip and ended up at the side of the road right across the street from Northstar. JR was able to order the tires we needed for next day delivery, and even recommended a place to stay in Red River (which was a highlight of the trip). A family emergency prevented him from installing them this morning, so he sent us down the street to another shop that could get it done. The office assistant even drove the tires there for us (we couldn't take them with four people and a trunk full of luggage). Just really grateful for the help, the lodging recommendation, and the referral to the other shop! Thanks!

Our tire became flat while driving, and we happened to pull over across the road from Northstar Tire & Auto. After being in the phone with AAA for almost an hour and was refused service by AAA, we went to Northstar for help. JR was very friendly and did all he could to help us get in the road. When we ended up needing to order tires and had to stay overnight, JR even helped us find lodging at a nice place that charged very affordable rates. The next day, JR had an emergency but he took time to connect us with another auto shop to help us get our tire installed. His secretary dropped off the tires at the new location for us because we couldn't fit the tires and passengers in our car. The next day, JR called to make sure everything went well. The service was superb! We're so thankful for Northstar Tire & Auto and JR's willingness to accommodate us.Service: Auto tire replacement

Northstar tire and auto was awesome. They helped us immediately and were able to repair our tire in less than one hour and get us back on the road. The staff was courteous kind and completely helpful. If you are ever in a jam and need a tire fixed in this area go here immediately.

Just a few of the problems we've had with them: we took them a truck with a broken transmission, they said it would be fixed in two weeks which we knew wasn't possible. Two weeks later they hadn't even ordered parts. Months later we ended up taking it somewhere else. We brought in an expedition that needed a new shifter cable, we told them it had been adjusted and kept getting loose so it needed to be replaced. They told us they replaced it but they didn't. They just adjusted it again and we had to pay someone else to actually replace it. The final straw was when they told us our a/c was broken, we took it to someone else and they said it wasn't broken but that a fuse had been removed. All they had to do was put in a new fuse but North Star was going to charge us for a whole new a/c... makes me wonder what happened to the fuse.

Put my truck in the shop, still waiting for a reply on what's wrong even though I know the problem. JR is very friendly but my truck still not fixed

The staff at Northstar saved our bacon! We were stranded on vacation with car trouble and they fit us in that day and got us back on the road. They were friendly, thorough and professional. We found their prices fair and reasonable as well. Many thanks!!

We had car trouble while vacationing in Red River. The mechanic in Red River seemed overpriced and unenthusiastic about the job so we took our business to North Star. Lucas was our main contact and was very knowledgeable and customer oriented. Our car was fixed within 24 hours at a very reasonable price. I strongly recommend anyone close to the area use this company.

They have had my vehicle 3 days for a procedure that was listed to take 45 minutes to an hour. I ve had to call everyday for updates, and often they just won t answer. I would avoid using this business, as their lack of professionalism outweighs any automotive, tire, or mechanical ability or wherewithal. I will update once I get my car back, or hear from them. It has been 4 days now.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Battery

Owner, JR, is knowledgeable, helpful and highly regarded in the small town of Questa. Prices are reasonable and much is done to make sure the client is driving a car that is safe and well maintained. A "family" type of business that provides quality service.

Long story short...I pulled my RV from Panama City FL to Questa NM. I blew a radiator just outside of Red River. My only option was to call around. I find this "Tire Service" and decide to call because they have 5 stars and in my experience that is not easy to do for any business. I called on the 4th of July hoping to speak to someone. The owner picks up, I explain my situation, he offers to order my radiator because it would take two days to ship. This was a Wednesday and he tells me to bring my truck in on Friday. I drop my 2000 Ford F-350 with a 7.3 diesel off at 9 am. They drove me back to my camper so I could continue to work. Next thing I know I get a knock on my door at 4 pm with my truck telling me its ready.My next worry was that this service was so good and i'm not from around here this is going to be pricey. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there honesty and pricing was just as stellar as their service. I was blown away by the entire experience. Their team is fantastic. Very knowledgeable and laid back.I would recommend this to anyone!

Awesome experience...700 miles from home & had a tire problem...they fixed me right up & got me back on the road...very kind & knowledgeable; I would rate them a 10 star if it were possible...they were that accommodating...thank you guys, you were a life saver!!!
