If you really want to see how beautiful your country is, get off the interstate through NM & AZ and take Hwy 60. Rediscover Americana. Add this town to your must see places! The whole town is about pie! Aunt Mimi s Pecan Pie Muffin is absolutely delicious- light crispy edges with soft, airy middle. We had peaches & cream pie with ice cream, Keylime pie, peanut butter cream pie, and coconut cream pie.- all wonderful and fresh made. Take some time to enjoy your pie in the music/game room. The only thing sweeter than the pie is the good company! The mountain view from the front porch is spectacular.Kid-friendliness: Who doesn t love pie the country home decor is welcoming of both young and young at heart.

It's the legendary background of this town that made me drive here. The free camping made it a plus, plus. I only got to try one of the two restaurants, as only one was open at a time during the week. Weather was the factor that made me move on. High winds were brewing. The pies were definitely not on my sugarless lifestyle, but exceptions had to be made. The free camping was an easy walk to the places. The pie was not super sweet, and that was a plus for me. Reminded me of European deserts. The drive is worth the journey from either direction.

Truth be told, the lunch was just average. However, let s talk pie; after all, the dessert is in the name of the restaurant and the town!!! Best single pie I ve eaten in my life. Tasted multiple flavors and each was better than the last. My favorite is the Raspberry Blondie!I will drive this road again, JUST FOR THE PIE!! And, the staff, young and old, male and female, were a delight. This is a MUST STOP location!

We walked into a place that smells like grandmas house and wanted some dinner and pie. We got the pie! Lots of options! As we asked for dinner we were told they weren t serving food, just pie. Just mere moments later a couple walked in, ordered two pizzas and pulled up a seat. We would have loved pizza! It was very disappointing because the place we were sent to next door smells like a meat butcher and weren t nearly as friendly. Be consistent with everyone if anything Sarah!

This place is legit! If you're travelling between Socorro and Springerville or doing a day trip to the VLA it is not to be used.I had spinach/cheese quiche that was served with a side salad and a pecan pie muffin. Authentically good food with unmistakable personality. I ordered a slice of pumpkin brulee pie to take home and it was every bit as good as my lunch. The staff was welcoming and engaging. The decor is a mix of local history and tourist kitsch; enlarged WPA photos from Depression Era Pie Town dominate the dining room. It adds up to a warm and friendly setting.Vegetarian options: I can only speak for my visit but at least one of the two entrees was vegetarian. The other (pizza) may have been available as a vegetarian option, as well, but I had decided upon the quiche prior to asking.Parking: One thing the locality has is plenty of parking space.

AMAZING! Walking into the wood stove warmed, Pie-O-Neer was like joining friends at the cabin. Linda, the compassionate server, and the fragrance of cinnamon welcomed us on a snowy morning. Linda shared the long list of fresh pies and the available savory items such as quiche and ham with toast that were available. Menu items depend on many factors, but the pies are always amazing! We had the spinach quiche, and the crust was incredible. Huge portion! We also indulged in the blueberry-peach pie and took a sweet potato swirl single pie-let to go. Everything was perfectly seasoned and spiced! Linda and all the staff were helpful on a chilly day. All customers were also given a paper sack of onions. They were sweet and fresh. We ate them down the road on the grill, and they are delicious! The book, Pie Town Pies, available for purchase, has the recipes and the back story of Pie Town; it makes for a great read while eating your take-home pie! Thank you all for sharing Pie Town hospitality with us!

Updated 12/24/23: holiday breakfast! Poached Eggs on sourdough, side of fried potatoes and veggies. Delicious.I was delaying the review of the Pie-O-Neer because my husband and I want to keep the place to ourselves! But, it's unfair to the awesome owner Sarah, her amazing crew and all of you so here goes: Pie-O-Neer pies are the best in the US, change my mind! You have to try the all-nut crust peanut butter, chocolate and whipped cream pie, it is addictive. Seasonal varieties, such as rhubarb, blueberry and cherry certainly do not disappoint. We also pick up veggie pizza most Fridays, sometimes a quiche and occasionally a cheese sub. Everything is always fresh and delicious. To us, eating at the Pie-O-Neer feels like eating at a friend's house. This is a great day trip to make from any corner of New Mexico.

First time stopping after hearing about this place for many years and it did not disappoint. From the local small town vibe and the welcoming home feel that you get, you just know that dessert is going to be on point. Matter of fact it was so good I bought two slices a whole mini pie and one cookie. You have to take a trip or just if you're passing by taste it.

Alright, you ladies had me choking back tears today. We are from the Midwest and something about this place feels like home. About every 6 weeks or whenever I'm depressed (or my birthday!) we make the 300 mile round trip for the Sunday special. Today when we arrived we were welcomed by a big warm smile saying "oh, your back"! MEEE? I'm recognized?!?! They then proceeded to allow me to modify my plate creating the most beautiful dish. Thank you ladies, I needed that today. Not only did I leave with a full belly and a box of pie but, also a full heart.*yes, the food is THAT good we'll drive 6 hours!

I honestly was afraid that the good reviews were just because this place is called pie town. We were blown away by how good the pies were. Absolutely shocked. They even gave us free pecan cupcakes that were phenomenal. So kind too! I am not surprised that A&E is doing a segment on them. Try it!! The peanut butter is amazing

I'm really picky about my pies as I can make good pie myself, but, I was impressed with these. I tried the New Mexico Apple and the lemon blueberry buttermilk. I was surprised I liked the New Mexico Apple with the green chiles in it but it was so different and the heat of the apples with the slightly crisp, cool apples was quite tasty. The Lemon blueberry buttermilk was my favorite though. It is a little pricey. I think they are almost $7 a slice, but if I was in the area again, I'd probably pay it again.Unfortunately, they don't serve lunch till noon and when I asked at noon what they were having, since there wasn't a menu anywhere, I was told she was working on a quiche. I didn't have time to wait around longer and wasn't in the mood for quiche so skipped lunch and just had pie. So don't expect a menu you can just order from I guess.

This place had the NICEST people I have ever met, literally every person that worked there was over-the-top nice! Even the cook came out and spoke to us and made us a "special meal" because we are vegetarian and she "wanted to give us the best and full experience". We didn't ask for special treatment, but we felt like family there. Also, they have the best corn bread that I have EVER had. If you are ever in Pie Town, NM stop there and get some pie (we couldn't eat the pie because it had lard in the crust but the apple filling was amazeballs).Vegetarian options: They are not set up for vegetarian options, but they will help you with a smile.

This place has atmosphere to spare - you never run out of fun, interesting things to look at in here. The pies, of course, are outstanding. Both the ones everybody knows and ones you ve never heard of, are fantastic. The weekend specials (dinners) are pretty great too - I recommend the Italian - not only was it very tasty, but the quantity was so much, it made three meals for me

I stopped by this place on a trip to Albuquerque via the back roads. It s pretty much in the middle of nowhere. I got there a couple hours after they opened and they were already almost sold out of pie. I bought their last two pieces to go. A piece of chocolate praline chess pie, and a piece of sour cherry almond chess pie. They both were absolutely delicious! I m already scheming on how I can make a trip to get back to this place and try some more pie and some of their food also. Some of my favorite items are:Chocolate Praline Chess Pie Sour Cherry Almond Chess Pie Want to try next time:Green Chile stewQueso quicheNM Apple PieWhatever other pie they have!My guide on how I use the 5 star system: = Not good = Not terrible, but would not get again = Solid, but I d try something else before this again = Really liked it! You should try this = Loved it! Must tryI ll make adjustments to my ratings after subsequent visits. If you see a .3 or .7 it means:.3 = Wasn t as good the 2nd or last time I tried it.7 = This was better the 2nd or last time I tried it

Cane for pie, and it was good.Peanut Butter pie was great. Also the berry crumble. The crumble was goid, but could be great in my opinion if strawberry's left out, more crumble topping (since that's what it's called) and maybe a tad sweeter. My guess is all the pies are very good. I wish I could have tried them all. Unfortunately, we probably won't be through here again anytime in the next 3-5 years. So if you're passing through, make sure to stop and get pie.I was told after we left and stayed in Socorro RV park that we should have tried the ice cream. So on the words of a local, try the ice cream too.

Delicious pies stopping through. Got the last piece of peanut butter and it was incredible. The Apple with chili took me by surprise and the little pecan bites were so good. The peanut butter definitely stole the show though.

We found this gem traveling through New Mexico on Thanksgiving day. Perfect stop and the most delicious homemade pie and coffee you ever want to eat. The ladies were super friendly. Service was quick considering they were working up a storm cooking Thanksgiving dinner for the patrons. They offered us to stay to have lunch, but we were on a time crunch and had to keep on moving. Highly recommend this place if you're ever fortunate to travel this way. We will be back.

Pie-O-Neer is my favorite. I own a diner in the sister town next over Magdalena and I always encourage my customers to skip dessert at my restaurant and drive 40 minutes west for some good pie. A few things to note; us business owners in the middle of nowhere experience a lot of hiccups along the way! Extreme weather, little access to supplies and ingredients if we run out of things, technical difficulties. To those traveling far and wide to eat here please do your due diligence and make sure they are open, make it an overnight trip, call ahead of time. They have absolutely amazing pies and no duh they sell out! That means they are that good. They also have special nights and menu offerings. When they make pizza and have it available...order it! You won't regret it. If you want more than pie plan to eat there on a Sunday for Miss Mary Dinners. I love Sara and the whole team!

Stopped in for some sweet tea and some pie! Toddler had a great time playing with the mini jenga blocks on the table. The pies were OUTSTANDING! My only regret is that it took me so long to visit. We will have to make our way back for the pie festival.
