I came in here to get an oil change for my elderly father in law and was rather disappointed to find out that not only was a basic oil change (4 qts in a small 4 cyl) $60, but the tire rotation was $30! I was never told the tires would be a charge at all and since most places (Discount Tire, Brakemasters etc) all do it for free, I expected something similar. I would have rolled my eyes and moved along if it was $10, but $30?? For a 5 min job?On top of all that, I brought the car home and it leaked oil all over the floor of the garage. I took the car back and was told it was a 'loose gasket.' I'm sure they meant oil pan plug washer, however now I'm concerned they just over torqued the bolt to get it to stop leaking.Nice staff, poor service and grossly overpriced. Would not return here.

I had my tires installed here. They were very professional. They replaced my tires the same day, as promised, even if they had to work beyond the usual closing time.

Owner (Fidel) took the time scream at me about how much money he has and how he doesn't work for free when I tried to contest an $80 charge for a QUOTE on a brake replacement. Do not go here!!!!

Would not recommend. Took my truck in for an alignment and after picking it up all the brake lights on the instrument panel were lit up. The owner started ranting about how many years in business hes been in, and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience of me having to take the truck back into the shop. He said his computer couldn't read my Toyota truck readouts for the alignment. Found they didn't hook back up the sensor, thus all the brake lights were on. Found out my brake pads were the problem, not the alignment. I would expect the shop to look into the light problem to see what the problem was, instead of the owner spending time defending himself without any blame given (I was very cordial and understand things happen, did not walk in with an attitude myself)....just fix the truck that's what I paid for, not the attitude!

Not a place for a quick oil change. I was told there was 1 person ahead of me and after 30+ minutes of waiting I asked again and was told there were 2 cars ahead of me.

I changed oil for several times and replaced tire once there. The fourth or fifth time I went there, I ordered two tires and scheduled replacement for the next day. I also asked them to check the driver's door which had a broken part and the window can not roll up. It broke the night before and I had to open the panel to push up the window and duct-tape it so rain would not get in (it did rain the next day). I ask them to take two minutes to see what parts need to be ordered (a plastic part on the regulator), so i can go and fix it with the tire change to save me some time. One guy (not a mechanic) went to check with me and tell his boss what was broken. The boss ignored his guy and asked me to leave the car to the mechanics. I refused because I need to go to work; even he offered me a ride, it will took me one extra hour to take shuttle back and forth to my work place (the huge lab I work does not allow outside vehicle). The boss ridiculed me: "why don't you fix it yourself if it is easy" and blah blah. they could save me at least one hour if they can just send a mechanic for 2 minute and decide what part to order (the panel is already open and I showed that guy where it was broken. why do you send that poor guy at the first place if you don't listen to him?). Instead, the boss decide to ridicule me and just be a boss. So I cancel the tire order and leave. So i believe they really don't care about your business even they know you are a returning customer. And for sure, they (at least the boos) do not want to listen. It is a shame that such a place is still doing business in this town.

Will not be going back. Called and made an appointment multiple days ago. Brought truck in, told them I was heading out of town the next day early morning so I needed it done. I was told no worries should be done by 2:00 in the afternoon, they called at 4:30 right before shop closes and they ask to keep truck overnight because they couldn t get to it even though I had an appointment.Service: Steering & suspension repair

"Quick Lube" lol... they were not quick at alignments. I waited 6 hrs for an alignment and rotation after being told it would be done in 2. When I picked up the car it was as if they diddnt even touch it. The staff is seriously lacking effort and time management. I was charged for an alignment that never happened and they refused to help resolve the issue later. I reported them to the BBB after being ripped off and hearing other locals' similar experiences.

I waited 50 minutes for a tire rotation after they "forgot" to do it with the oil change as I asked. When I arranged to have my windshield repaired with them and my insurance company, the manager tried to charge me and was agressive ("you'll pay me if you want your car today") when I told him that my insurance told me not to pay out of pocket. When he took a moment to check his paperwork, he told me my keys were in the car. No apology. Oh, this was after I waited an hour for a repair that was supposed to take 20 minutes and they dripped resin all over my windshield, requiring acetone to remove. Will never go back.

How Kwik Lube LA conducts business is very troubling; it is not the price that concerns me as much as it is the total lack of transparency and gouging of the price after the fact. The people behind the counter didn't find it important to disclose that the oil change cost would more than double when synthetic oil is used. I figured... I used to change my own oil, it's only a few dollars more for the decent oil. And sure, $45 (posted price) is steep for an oil change, but this is Los Alamos, and it's nice to avoid the hassle of doing it yourself. Turns out, if you are interested in wasting 2.5 hrs of your day off and being charged $100.83 for your trouble, this is the place for you.I urge caution when doing business here, as trust is a big deal for me. I just moved to LA and plan to be here for the remainder of my professional career. If it comes to it, I will pay to have my vehicle towed all the way to Espanola or even Santa Fe before I can trust doing business with this place again. Last thing I need is a surprise $2000 charge for a flat tire. Because, if they charge $100 for an oil change without telling you, god knows what they charge for other services. While the staff were friendly and they did an OK job on the work (I only had to clean a little spilled oil up off my engine), it was overall a truly sad and disappointing introduction to living in Los Alamos. I would've been a lifelong patron, as I was for local businesses in cities I used to live.

Do NOT take your car here for an estimate...ever! I dropped off my car for an estimate on new brakes. Was asked by attendant, to sign a form giving them permission to look at the car. Attendant called about 30 minutes later with an estimate that was over $100 more than an estimate I had received from another local mechanic, less that 30 minutes prior to dropping off my car. I told the attendant, that I wasn't interested in having the work done because the quote was so much more than the other I had received. The attendant then informed me that there would be a $53.66 fee for the estimate. I told her that I wasn't going to pay the fee because it was never disclosed to me that estimates were not free of charge. There wasn't a sign posted in the shop, the form I signed didn't have a fee listed and I wasn't verbally told there would be a fee. When I arrived to get my car, I noticed that a steering-wheel lock had been placed on my car. I went inside the auto shop and asked for my car. The attendant stated that the owner had instructed her not to give me my car until I paid the fee. I then called the local police department to get them involved because the attendant had become aggressive and the owner was not on the premises. The police officers suggested I pay the fee and then file a civil claim against the owner of Kwik Lube, Fidel Naranjo. The form I was given by the attendant after I paid the fee, did not have a written estimate for brake replacement.

I brought in my vehicle a month ago for overheating issues. They looked it over and said it was the thermostat. I brought it in the next day for them to replace it. I get a call later that day saying I only blew the radiator cap and they fixed that instead. After a while my vehicle started to overheat again. So I brought it in, early in the day mind you. They said they would figure out the problem right away. After spending all day waiting to hear back from them (I had to take a day off to get this done plus other errands), they told me it was the thermostat that NEEDED to be replaced. I got a little upset and explained they should have fixed it the first time. The told me they would have it done by 10 am the next day. The next day comes and when I go there at 10 am, my car is still being worked on. I am now pissed. I ask what was wrong with the thermostat and the owner flat out told me that it really did not need replacing and to just tell me that it needed to be fixed. I was livid. I paid the bill and told them I will never do business with liars again.TL;DR This place is full of liars and theives. STAY AWAY!!!

I brought my car to Kwik Lube because it 1: needed a simple oil change and 2: the engine was making a strange noise that I wanted looked in to. The men came back and told me that there were multiple oil leaks under my car. I wasn't that surprised as my car HAD overheated once going up the mountain. They told me that they needed to do a dye test to determine where exactly the leaks were. This test included steam cleaning the engine and putting a blue dye in to see where the dye came out. When I brought the car back a few days later for them to see where the dye was coming from, I was told it was coming from multiple places and, in turn, the engine needed to be replaced entirely. The fix would cost $2500 with the new engine and labor.I decided to let my dad fix my car, rather than the shop because it would be cheaper. My dad used to own a car shop as well. He told me that there was no dye under the car. IF Kwik Lube had actually put the dye in my engine like they said, and IF there were multiple leaks like they said, then there would have been blue dye dripping from the bottom of my car or at least stains. There were not. No dye was ever put in and the engine was never steam cleaned either. There was also nothing wrong with the engine. The strange clacking noise that was coming from under my hood was the compressor for my air conditioning going out. This fix is only a couple hundred dollars versus the thousands Kwik Lube was trying to charge me for an imaginary issue. The only possibilities for this sort of giant mistake is that the people that work at this company are either stupid or they are con artists. I cannot believe the mechanics do not know how cars work, therefore I can only assume that they didn't even look at my car and they were simply trying to get as much money from me as they could.Do not bring your vehicle to Kwik Lube if you want honest and effective help.

Stopped in Los Alamos for a few days on a roadtrip from Michigan to Arizona. Ended up with a tiny nail in a brand new tire causing it to leak slowly. Took it to a few places in town to get it either patched or replaced and ended up here as it was the only place without a few hours wait. The manager, Jasmine, and mechanic known as "junior" were both very helpful in finding the pin in my tire and letting me know my best options. The tire was unpatchable and we didn't have time to wait for them to get a new tire that'd arrive the next day. As junior was giving us helpful advice his senior mechanic (older guy with white hair) came over to us and very unprofessionally and rudely told junior not to talk to the customers. My friend and I were in disbelief that he would say something so disrespectful to his own worker as he was helping us out. The guy continued to rush junior AS HE WAS PUTTING OUR TIRE BACK ON. He kept telling him to "come back in the shop for a talk and put a hurry in his step". Some toxic masculinity at its finest. As long as you get Jasmine or basically anyone other than that toxic douchebag, you shouldn't have any issue here.

I was very dis-satisfied with the service, mostly customer service. I took in a vehicle on a Thursday to get a preventive maintenance and car wash. I took in the paperwork my employer provides, my phone number was written down on the paper and was told I would get a call Friday to pick it up. Never received a phone call. When I went the following Monday to pick it up the paperwork was lost. Turns out they only did the car wash and the owner said he was only told a car wash and no paperwork was given and he would remember because they were not busy. Being the owner, a business man, a person should know "the customer is always right" (in this case I was because i took the paperwork and my number was written down..hence why they never called to let me know it was ready). I will not take my personal vehicles to Kwick Lube in Los Alamos nor my company vehicles.

Left my car to get the tire repaired, was told to leave the car to save our spot and that it would be repaired around 5. Went to pick up at quarter till, RUDE woman behind the behind the counter stated it wasn't ready yet and told me to leave and wait for the call. No call came, car now has to stay all weekend because they are closed.Service: Tires

Fidel helped me out in a very tough situation.I was supposed to drive home to Dallas area one morning. When I went to leave, I noticed a significant piece of Highway debris in one tire. It actually wasn't leaking, but the piece was basically a 1" square spear.I went to the other place near Smith's (Won't mention the name) and was told it would be a day before they could patch the tire.I called Del, and he had it fixed within an hour. Thanks Del. I will be back.

Charged me for services I did not ask for, on top of being overpriced to begin with. When I mentioned how they padded the bill, the guy told me that's just the way they do things. He said they do things just one way and that's the reason they are still in business. I can see how cleverly robbing your unsuspecting customers helps pay the bills.

I went for changing my blown out head bulb. it was done in less than 20 minutes. My car battery had issues and didn't start after the bulb change. They helped to jump start as well with a smiling face.
