We broke down just outside of Lordburg, NM. We limped into Lordsburg KOA and began to look for someone to repair our Ford F350 diesel. Our truck had no power and I was afraid we blew the turbocharger on the truck.After calling the usual suspects, they were all closed, as it was the Saturday before Easter, or didn't work on our truck. A friend found Stewart's online and we gave him a call. After talking to him a bit, he said most likely it was not the turbocharger, but a hose. He told us his rates and that he only accepted cash. He came right out and checked out our truck. He immediately saw the issue, got on the phone with the local NAPA autoparts store and ordered the part. It wouldn't be here for a couple of days.On Monday, he called us and came out to pull the rest of the part off of the truck to confirm the part NAPA ordered was correct. It turned out they ordered the wrong part. He got the right part ordered and it came in on Wednesday.Meanwhile, we were stuck without a vehicle. Since we didn't have a vehicle, he offered to take us to the store or anywhere else we needed to go to make our lives a bit easier.The part came in on Wednesday around noon. He was working on it around 12:30 and we were on the road by about 1:30. After being on the road for about 45 minutes, we received a call from him. He said after getting the right invoice for the part used in my truck, he realized he over charged us for the part. He owed us $80. He said when we came back through on the way home, give him a call and he'd get us the money. He did as he promised.While he only accepts cash, he is thorough and honest. Two things hard to find in mechanics nowadays.

Way to expensive for a simple issue. For starters, he charge a fee for a "service call". After that he want's 2 hour minimum ( even if he's 5 minutes away) and on top of that he will charge you per mile if he needs to run to a parts store. Last thing. He accepts only com checks, efs checks or cash only. No credit card. How convenient

I was stuck in Arizona with a severe overheating diesel on a 23 year old motorhome. I contacted Stewart and while he can't leave state borders. I took the risk and made it the 50 miles to get closer. He treated me fair and while it was expensive he did not steal my savings. It was a simple fix but hard to find in the area. When i found a possible replacement that didn't work. He came out a few times and researched to help me. I had to give up and go but his advice got me going safely and i made it home after a positive and helpful service. The save was a 5.00 replacement but i had no clue. He was honest and available. 5 plus stars.

We had just started a long road trip with our Diesel Pusher Bounder. All of a sudden we noticed something liquid seeping onto the entry steps. Definitely not something we could repair and mechanical. We read some reviews and chose to get to Lordsburg NM and call Stewart s.They explained their pricing (cash only) and we were not surprised. That s what ATMs are for!This rig is a Freightliner! He said exactly when he would meet us and in fact was a bit ahead of his schedule.After investigation, he found our problem. Got it fixed, had us test drive it and we were very pleased with the service.As far as the cost, if you can t do the time, don t do the crime!Thank you very much - Stewart s - it was nice to meet you. Hope we don t have to call in the fall.

Edward was at our RV within 10 minutes. Courteous, honest, reasonable, experienced. Alternator dead but he quickly diagnosed two burned wires and fixed them! Stewart s really came to my rescue.. I was traveling from Ca to Tx & in New Mexico tire rubber came flying at my car on the freeway .. the winds were blowing 60 mph so the impact really did some damage to my front bumper & shield guard was dragging on the ground! I pulled over to the nearest hotel with open availability & got ahold of Stewart the next morning after trying many places that didn t even answer the phone! He came quick & repaired my bumper so I could continue the drive to TX.. the pricing was very fair too I felt! He gave me such a sense of relief to continue the drive .. can t thank him enough.Service: Body & Trim

One thing Stewart is not is a liar. He said he would charge $85 for a diagnostic fee and a minimum of two hours work ($285 total) just drive across the street. To his word, he did indeed charge $285 (+tax). Even though he performed no work, clearly did not know what some of the codes were that he was reading (which took all of five minutes) and even if he could, could not have repaired them. Maybe he s a big rig repair guy. But if you have a newer model diesel vehicle my recommendation would be to keep on trucking.

Don't waste your time in this town calling non of this little mechanics. All they do is scam you out of money. Called "Mr Stewart " for an air leak. Comes tells me it's a $100 hr . 3 hr minimum. I say Ok . He says I'll fix it pay me. I go ahead pay he $300. He goes under the truck for 5 minutes and say your release valve is bad. Call me when you get the part. And leaves me there in middle of the night. Next day I call dude up he says he'd go to El paso 2 hrs to get the part but I have to pay him $750 to drive there plus whatever the parts cost . I told him wait. I spent $40 went and got the part .then called him. Soon as he found I got the part he got testy and hung up on me. Next thing he says is I'm busy for the next 3 days. Eventually went to Loves and found out the part " me Stewart claimed was defective and I spent $350 plus 4 hour return drive was not the problem. It was just a brake chamber. This guy is a COMPLETE SCAM. BEWARE. THESE "GOOD" REVIEWS HERE ARE FROM HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

Stewart came to my aid fast, and quickly identified the problem, and had me back on the road within an hour , I had initially stopped at the Loves in Lordsburgh in which they miss diagnosed the problem and I would have been sitting in the desert for 4 days or so , not only that after his service call he has called me on 2 occasions to make sure that I was good. Very good service and follow up. He cares about his customers. If it went to a 10 star rating. Stewart's road side service is who is the person/ business to call. Keep on trucking truckers. Came right out to look at our truck. Very punctual. A little expensive for the work he actually performed. $310 for diagnosis is a little steep. Referred us to the Ford dealer and recommended Rich to look at our truck. Told us #4 injector was bad.Took it to Ford and his diagnosis was spot on.Good if you're in a pinch and need help when everything else is closed.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I have a 2014 freightliner as I was coming into New Mexico i broke down i called Ed and right off the bat he was able to help me, he came and did everything just like a professional and fixed my coolant leaks from a fitting that was ONLY sold by the dealership but fixed it better then the dealership would in my opinion, he double checked everything and made sure things were good to go definitely worth every penny...I hope I don't have to see you again ED but I know if I did you'll take care of me thanks again!

Beware of Stewie. This guy probably can't replace a bulb. Broke a reusable fitting for air dryer than claimed he needed to send someone to El Paso and charge. Kept my truck down for 3 days. Called someone else had me back up and running within a few hours with fittings purchased at Napa where he claimed he lost 3 hours of his time looking. Stewie should not call himself a mechanic he's just a tool. The new mechanic got fittings at Napa and had me rolling the same day. Your not a mechanic just a con job. Who ties your shoes in the morning Stewie?

If you are stuck, broken down or your searching google and checking reviews for a reliable diesel mechanic in the area...look no further! We broke down off the 10W on our way through to Arizona toy hauler in tow and all! Stewart had us diagnosed and back on the road within 24hrs. I Would 100% recommend Stewart s diesel repair to any friends or family and if we ever brake down again in the area we will only go with Stewart s.

I accidentally put gas in my diesel MBZ Sprinter (Shady Grove station had green all over the pump). Edward came out as soon as he was able to and siphoned most of the tank and got me going again. He was friendly and professional. Most importantly, he saved my car! I would highly recommend him for any issues with your diesel vehicle. Thank you Edward!

It s never fun to break down on the road but Stewart s Diesel Repair took the sting out of it. They were prompt, professional and courteous, the mechanic even sang a song that David Allen Cole would have loved. We can t recommend them enough. They diagnosed the problem and had the part the next morning and had us on the road early. If you should breakdown and are in need of diesel repair in the Lordsburg area, don t call anyone else.Services: Electrical, Battery

My trucker was checked at weight station, the air hose was leaking, the mechanic came in 20 mins and fixed in 10mins, the price is pretty good, thanks a lot

Busted and disgusted with a leaking head gasket. Ed got to me quickly, got me back on the road, and followed me down the road a ways to make sure everything was looking good. All for under $400, Thanks a ton man!

I called every one in lordsburg new Mexico they all said it was the weekend and there was nothing they could do most of them didn t even answer the 24 hour road service phone line at 8 00 pm on a Friday I called Stewart he came he had the knowledge he had me rolling in no time this kind of service is hard to find these days.Service: BrakesService: Brakes
