This is a great place to stay! The owner was super helpful when a neighbor complained about the electric - turned out the service was fine & his "not-name-brand" surge connector was wrong! Close enough to interstate to be convenient, but far enough away there was not traffic noise. Lots of trees, a decent dog run as well as a good breakfast for $8.00. A hidden gem worth checking out.

Very friendly staff, very clean, NO handicap showers this needs to be addressed, very small if you are over 5 10' good luck. Lighting outside by tents site none existent, Very noisy the owners dogs constantly barking all night. Great breakfast prepared fresh and very reasonable. Very friendly cat named Missie. Overall I give it 3 stars because of the noise by the dogs and me been disabled the showers need improvement.Safety: Need better lighting outside especially by the tent sites, very dark place. Facilities for disabled people especially the showers need to be addressed. Showers are very smallFood & drinks: Outstanding Breakfast, cooked fresh, very tasty red. Chili sauce made by the lady Manager , great value. I highly recommend it. She makes the pancakes to order fresh, coffee, tea, orange juice at your fingertips. I highly recommend itNoteworthy details: Very clean, friendly staff. Outstanding customer service goes above and beyond, eager to help you, great value breakfasts cooked fresh I highly recommend it. Great valued.

Far enough from the main road, a cheap breakfast, and super kind hosts hoist this KOA above the four stars that the sites alone would warrant. Slightly hilly but a great stop over location on your way to points unknow. Clean Bathrooms await your "morning constitutional" or shower. Did you know that the drive in road is part of the Original Rt. 66? Yeah, we thought that was cool as well.Fun Facts- several National Monument/ Historical Parks are close by and Las Vegas NM old town sq was the Location for Longmire TV series shoots. Have fun!

Very disappointed with the showers here, very small, NO handicap showers ir you are over 5'10 good luck there is not enough room to even undress, or dry off in those showers very uncomfortable to say the least. I used the bathroom and when I tried to get out the door was stuck I was trapped inside. The staff is friendly, they have a outstanding breakfast. The dogs barking all night it was the management dogs doing it. We were in the tents area, very noisy neighbors across from the KOA as well.We have a KOA Campgrounds membership and this is the worst KOA we have stayed at. We won't repeat it I tell you....Safety: The trash cans need to be moved away from the tent sites. This could be a major hazard due to wildlife.Food & drinks: The breakfast was outstanding, great value, very tasty served by very friendly staff.

We stayed in a cabin. It was lovely. Susan, Jeff, and John could not have been more accommodating. I m allergic to milk, butter, cheese they made a special breakfast for me. The orange juice was so good. There was strawberries, bananas, pineapple, sausage, bacon, eggs, pancakes, hash browns, coffee. Susan asked if we wanted to go boxes. She picked up our plates. Jeff repeatedly asked if I needed him to make me some more butter free eggs. We felt very welcome and taken care of. It was a little bit of nurturing that we needed as it was cold and windy outside and we didn t want to pitch a tent at the state park so we found the cabin at the KOA. It had a wonderful heater that kept us toasty. Thank you all! We will definitely be back.By the way: regarding the previous reviews: we are not in need of wheel chairs or anything but we found the showers to be the perfect size! We don t have dogs that shower near us, of course, but there was definitely more room than we needed. As previously mentioned, the restroom facilities and the dining room were super clean and cozy! Thank you for all of the time and attention these items require.

What can I say other than, I love KOA's. Most are not a high-end resort, but they have all the basics. Expectations are always met with 99% of a KOA.This one was no exception as, like most, the experience was very pleasant the Hosts, very helpful and accommodating. They went well beyond the normal service for me.Very enjoyable stay. Like many campgrounds, it is close to the interstate. The signs when exiting the interstate could be improved. Easy to go the wrong direction as Garmin is confusing. The entry road was marked with a very small sign once found. The entrance road is a little bouncy after the cattle grate, so go slow.My space was very nice, clean, level, well groomed, shaded and very quiet at night.I would definitely stop again if in the area.I took Rt.84 to I-40 good road beautiful ride.

Loved It except it's not wheelchair accessible in the bathroom. It's a shame because the bathroom was among the cleanest I've ever seen at a campground. But, the stalls are small and I didn't see a single hand rail. The showers are around the same size as an RV shower. So, pretty tight. There was plenty of hot water and good pressure though. There isn't much space as you step out of the shower. My service dog is a small 63 lb Labrador retriever. Curled tightly he filled the space in front of the shower stall leaving no room to step onto the mat. Good thing he was there though. He needed to brace me a couple of times since there weren't any hand rails to grab.Everything else was very good to excellent. We never lost power, the water pressure at the site was good. The dump station is in a convenient spot. The pool area looked great!Convenient location. Campground, playground, and dog park were all very clean and well maintained. The staff were all friendly. Pet friendly, game room and shade.I'd stay here again without hesitation, except for me the bathroom accessibility is a deal breaker.(They offer wifi but I used my phone and didn't need it).

My husband and I checked in late at this KOA. It was 11:30pm and we simply came to the front of the office with a sign For Late Check-In .We rated space #23 3-stars because that space was on a hilly part and it was not level at all. Also, the said space showed that it has 30-amp but it didn t. The space only had 50 and 20 amp. It s a good thing that we have an adapter for the 20amp.We stayed at this KOA for 2 nights. My husband also informed the camp attendant at the office about the amp situation and they gave us a discount because it was a miss on their part. That s a 5-star rating for service in my book. Also the campground is clean, the toilet/bathrooms are clean. The campground has a pool and it s clean and they also serve free coffee. If you want breakfast, you can fill out a little paper telling the office that you would like breakfast the next morning. Each space has a fire pit and a picnic table which is great! Oh, by the way, the camp also has wifi.We will definitely camp here again.

I wish I could give more stars. We have stayed at many a KOA. It is cleanish. Staff, I met one woman on check in, never saw another employee. Site table was all dirty with mud on table and benches and the cute glider swing had all tall weeds under it. It worked for an overnight, but that is all. There was a child screaming for about a half hour at 0600. The pool was cleanish but definitely needed someone to skim it.

A bit pricey for short stays but the park is well maintained. The bathrooms were clean but dated. 2$ for wash and another $2 to dry laundry. The park is in a beautiful location with quick access to town (10-15 mins). The staff were super nice. The sites are gravel and mostly flat. Easy enough to drive around with my 42 5th wheel and full size 1 ton truck. Water pressure was ok, they use gravity fed. Fire pit with swing and picnic table at our site.I would ask to be away from the dump station due to smell. The dog run was nice with fresh mulch added recently. We paid about $50 a night for 4 nights and I think $40 should be top price here. The pool was not open due to the weather, so nothing to report there.Enjoy!

My husband and I have stayed here twice while coming and going between Colorado and Arizona for the winter months. This campground is off the beaten path, in a quiet area and the staff is very nice. However, that's where the good parts of this campground ends. Like a lot of KOA campgrounds, they are over-priced. We've paid less and got more out of most of the privately owned RV campgrounds we've stayed at. Our site last night was a 30 amp site, no sewer (but a dump station available in the campground), gravity fed water supply, so very low water pressure and low to no internet service. Unfortunately, that will be our last stay in that campground and if you're looking for other possibilities in the Las Vegas, New Mexico area, I would suggest that you consider something south or further north of Las Vegas since the area doesn't offer much for RV campgrounds. We will be exploring other alternatives in the future, as well.

Nice and well cared for KOA campground. The sites are level, with fire ring and picnic table. It was cold and getting colder when we arrived on Saturday and got our new Treardrop set up.The other campers were in big motorhomes or 5th wheels so it was extremely quiet. It was also great for star gazing as there was almost no light pollution.Hope to stay again!

Staff friendly and informative. The campground is clean, and the sites are plenty big. They serve breakfast for an additional nominal fee. There is a playground for the kids and pool looks very clean.

A sweet campsite. The pool is clean and equipped with a handicapped lift. The staff is amazing. Nestled between I-25 and a railroad yet this is surprisingly quiet. Our site was very level and came with trees even (A rare thing from our neck of the "woods"We stayed 4 nights and had no issues. They will warn you of low water pressure since it is gravity fed but honestly we camp in a lot of state parks that have had worse pressure. The town is close by and offers a range of things to do, shopping and even a lake to visit. It is a great area and we are sure to be back again.Playground: A great playground for young ones and the not as young alikeRestrooms: Immaculate. Cleaned daily and done well. It isn't the Hilton so don't expect a spa experience but it is clean and the upkeep is noticeable.Picnic area: A table at every site, fire pit, and even an ashtray can, which held up my citronella sticks perfectly! There are also patios, a game room and common areas to eat at.

A great place to camp! We had a good size pull through site, very clean, cute gift shop, clean laundry room and a delicious breakfast for only $8.00! The staff is so friendly! There was a slight odor possibly from underground septic tanks that we sometimes got a wif of . Looks like it was recently worked on! We will definitely come back if in the area

I have never been to a KOA camp before, so I can't compare this. We stayed at a small A-frame cabin, while others in the group brought their campers. It was halfway between a middle-class hotel and actually roughing it at a national park campground. The bathrooms were impressively cleanThe security was on top of everything, while keeping a low profile. It was a great place to provide a camping experience while accommodating different families and a wide range of ages. I would definitely go here again!

Top-notch KOA, not too far out of town. We stayed two different nights coming and going on a trip and had good experiences both times. Though sandwiched between two highways, traffic noise is not a big problem. The property is in a rural area about a 10 minute drive from town, but there is a convenience store with gas very near. Very large open area with trees and trails is great for dog-walking. The staff was friendly.
