I made a same-day appointment using my phone on the shop's web page. When I dropped the car off just before noon, it became apparent that the reasons for the appointment had not been completed on the website, but they went ahead and completed all the work that day. Work included an oil change and an inspection of the used car I had just bought, and 4 highly recommended repairs. They got them all done and when I went to pay they volunteered that the credit card of theirs that I intended to use for a portion of the bill provided credit for over $700 with no interest for 12 months. I took that advice and appreciated the tip. Great service!

I scheduled oil changes for our two cars the day before; got back-to-back appointments. Both were done within an hour of drop-off, both cars neat and clean, fluids topped off.As always at the Las Cruces Pep Boys, service was terrific---and delivered with a smile.

I would not recommend using Pep Boys of Las Cruces for brake work based on my recent experience. I had my brakes and suspension checked out and I had them perform all the work they suggested. This included new brake rotors for the back of my car. Soon after getting my car back, I noticed an excessive amount of rust on my rear rotors. I returned to Pep Boys, and they inspected my brakes and provided the following comment to my receipt. There is rust on the rotors from water or rain and is not an issue. There might be some slight squeaking from the rust but it is not a safety issue and they will be good until the next brake job . I looked at my front rotors that have been on my car since 2015 for the presence of rust and there is none. I would expect a new part to appear new and I would also expect Pep Boys to feel the same way.Follow-up to this review on 10/15/23 - Pep Boys made this right. Thank your Sean and Sergio for your help on this matter. The action helps restore my faith in Pep Boys.

OPEN ON WEEKENDS!! This place saved me. I ran over a nail while driving and had to find a repair shop quick since I could hear the air coming out of my tire as I drove. They were the only shop open on Sunday, took very good care of me and my grandpa, and gave us a great affordable price. Sergio made my day and I will be coming back in the future (hopefully not with another nail in my tire)

I received excellent customer service. I made a same day appointment for a battery switch. They did not have it in stock but went the extra mile to get the one needed for my car. I do not live in the area but if I needed something I would definitely go back there. I was in and out and everything was running smoothly. The shop is on a one-way street so it was a little hard to access from Google directions I was given.

This place is amazing. Came in right before closing to get rims swapped out and they took care of me and were super nice and helpful. Rose and Charles both were very professional and went above and beyond for me in a pinch. Cannot recommend them enough!!!!!

The customer service is good but the mechanics aren t. I had my brakes done earlier this year and they re still squeaking despite my attempts to tell them. Most recently I had my thermostat replaced. I had to take my vehicle back 6 times because the coolant leaked out after each repair . 6 times I had to wait hours to days without my vehicle, unable to work, until I had to ask them to completely redo the original repair. Nothing was done to compensate me for my time or inconvenience for their mistakes.

Did not have a very good experience trying to get a flat tire repaired here (nail). Went in on a Sunday, took them over 2 hrs to look at it, and then sat in the shop for at least 30 minutes. Finally, I was approached to say that the tire could not be repaired and had to be replaced. Apparently the nail was too close to the sidewall. I did not agree as the nail was at least 2 inches from the edge. Definitely on the flat tread portion. (The tires are only 3 months old, so plenty of tread remaining). As we are visiting from Canada, I had little option but to comply with their recommendation to replace the tire. (estimated cost was $275.00 US). We arrived the next day. Monday, at the appointed hr, only to find out that the tire was not delivered to the shop, try again tomorrow. So, I called them Tuesday, to see if the tire had arrived yet. (by now, I had some red flags going up!). After talking to staff for 15 minutes, and then put on hold for at least 30 minutes, I hung up. Went to a nearby tire shop where they plugged the existing tire within an hour of us arriving. Sorry, but cannot recommend this place.

Jose and Sergio are the best. Took my car and give me a quote right away. They made everything so understandable and easy. I recommend pep boys 100%. This place makes you feel welcome and I left this place feeling happy and satisfied that my car got taken care of. Thank you again Jose and Sergio you guys are the best.

After scheduling my appointment, getting my vehicle attended to was easy. Vic listened to me as I explained the problem I was having. Afterwards Scott called me and explained what was happening with my situation (stopping to listen to me as I interrupted). I called at the suggested time and my vehicle was ready! Thanks Vic, Scott and the rest of the crew for their expertise in handling my Ford Expedition. (P.S. tell the young woman I absolutely loved seeing pictures of her Yorkie puppy...an added benefit to me ...when Pepboys hires real people!)

Went in to get a wheel stud replacement. I had previously gone to a place that is closer to home, however they were unable to help me, but at pep boys I was helped immediately. Sergio Legarda did a great job at resolving the issue and I appreciated his sense of urgency. We will definitely come back to this location because of him.

Took in vehicle to have timing belt replaced.2 days after having timing belt replaced a massive oil leake began. Took back vehicle & mechanic stated I had to have under engine cleaned before mechanic could look @ vehicle. I took engine to be cleaned twice & because there was a severe oil leake under engine was not able to get under car thoroughly clean.Finally my third attempt to take vehicle in mechanic was able to look at oil leake.Mechanic stated I probably needed a new timing belt? This is the service I received-A New Timing Belt! from Pep Boys.Front desk person stated I needed a new cam shaft which would cost over 1,000. 00Due to mistrust of prior vehicle service I did not have the additional work completed.Since that time My engine broke down and vehicle is not working

Misdiagnosis and totally mishandled. Took my car in on 11/16/23 for engine light and stalling. They repaired the engine light problem but said they needed to replace the pulley because that was causing the stalling. When I picked up the car they hadn't replaced the pulley. I took it back on 11/26/23 so they could replace the pulley but it was still stalling. They told me now it was the a/c compressor. I agreed to replace for 1000.00. A day later they said they didn't replace the compressor because the engine has internal damage. I got charged $420.67 for misdiagnosing my car.I take my car to another shop to check it out and they tell me that there is nothing wrong with the engine. I had bad gasoline. I changed the gas to a quality Top Tier fuel and my problem is solved. Pep Boys dropped the ball on this one.UPDATE: Pep Boys did get a hold of me and decided that mistakes did happen on their part. However, no kind of compensation was ever offered me. Only that they would talk to the mechanics. So my 1 star rating stands.

Called in for an appointment for a new tire and getting the spare off. Rose took my call and gave me an estimate on the time it would take. After looking at it and changing out the tire she recommended getting the alignment done as well. It would take at least another hour and I had just the hour before I had to go to work. She got the technician on task and I was out of there in 55 minutes, just under the one hour estimate! Great service, great estimate, and Rose kept me appraised of everything going on throughout the process. I will definitely return for future needs!

Had two great helpers from pepboys. Got a great price on tires they put them on checked the truck and fixed my air filter, corroded battery. Fixed everything under $1,500 did not take to long. Waited in their nice lobby good coffee and big tv.

I had to wait 3 hours to get my tire fixed, but the time estimate given by Rose was precise, so I cooled my heels in the waiting room and read old Guns & Ammo mags. The bathroom is clean. The people do their jobs quickly, the front desk and Rose are pleasant and efficient. Oh, and did I mention it was a Sunday morning? Thank you so much for being open on Sunday! I'll go back. All in all, it was a good experience.

I m not too keen on taking my vehicle to a shop for pretty much anything but I had little to no choice when it came to getting my wheels/tires balanced. I d never been to a pep boys before this experience but the guy up front gave excellent customer service and they aligned my vehicle too.

Definitely recommend to everyone! They are very helpful and knowledgeable. I got a flat tire and they fixed it even though it was close to their closing time. The staff I met was very friendly and helpful. I used to go to Walmart auto but now they have my business. Definitely worth it.

Stopped for a tire pressure check no one talked to me or looked in my direction. No one helped me. I asked my dad to go for me you know since his aMan maybe they wouldBe nicer and they told him the person that does that job wasn t there. So everyone else that was standing around what? Doesn t know how to do it? Very rude and poor customer service the one time I tried pep boys and it was awful

They took amazing care of my car, and gave accurate timelines from get go. This is my second time coming to them and they were just as amazing as first time. They also have a great waiting room with comfortable seating, coffee and television. Their technicians and front desk managers are professional, and go above and beyond to keep their customers informed and satisfied with their Vehicle Care. Will be returning for future appointments. It also helps that they undercut the competition be keeping their prices affordable for the average customer. Not to mention their competitors are all on the same road or around them It might take longer to get your car done. But the prices are worth the extra for the level professional mechanical expertise they treat your car with.

Went in for an oil change. After waiting for 3 hours, (I had an appointment) I was told that the oil change couldn't be done because the filter cap was put on too tight by the last servicing and risked breaking the cap and housing to take it off. I left feeling disappointed that I had to wait so long and that nothing was done but I didn't blame them. Driving back home I noticed weird engine noises and smell and when I checked I noticed the engine oil cap was not on and oil had spilled everywhere. It was very frustrating to see that the mechanic didn't take the time or remember to put that back on for me. I decided to go to Jiffy lube and they were much faster, cheaper, and explained the issues in much better detail than Pep Boys did for me. Changing the cap was not an issue for them. I did appreciate Rose's patience at Pep Boys in managing the front. However, I would not recommend going to this Pep Boys based on my experience.
