The worst thing was parking. Arrived at 10pm and not a single parking space available. We had to park over the fire line. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well as I worried about my car getting towed.Rooms were very dated which wasn't terrible but carpets/chairs were stained and need a good deep clean. Walls were dirty and paint chipping. It felt like a low budget hotel but clean with a nice bed. It didn't live up to the IHG expectation. The AC was SO loud, it woke me up every time it came on.They had nice Dove shower items. The staff on night/day shift were very pleasant. They were nice and accommodating with request for early check in. Rooms was clean but need a good deep clean. Beds were comfortable. Room had a small kitchenette sink.

This place was gross. The pictures they have advertising the rooms is deceiving. We've stayed in better for cheaper. $147 a night for a room with nasty carpet, dirty walls, stains on the chairs. Like if someone used the ottoman for a sexual experience. We always check beds for bed bugs at hotels and when I moved the mattress you can tell they never have changed the bed skirt. It had dust and hairs all over. The mini fridge wouldn't get cold enough to safely keep food in either. We Called down and asked if they had towels at the pool or if we needed to take some from the room. Was told they had towels. We get to the pool no towels. Asked house keeping for towels from her cart. She said the towels for the pool would be ready within 30 minutes. We hung out at the pool for over 30 minutes still no towels were brought to the pool. We had to walk back to our rooms wet, no towels. The only two things about this place that was good was the breakfast, and the noon check out time.Wish I could post pictures of the room.

Read this review. It's 2 stars, but not written out of anger or emotion.First the good : the staff is very friendly. And, the mattresses were very comfortable. I needed to check for bed bugs, so I took off the protectors. They looked newer. So, that's a plus. Now, let's talk about this hotel...I lived in LC for 15 years, and my hubs was born and raised. We know in the fall and various times through year there are influxes of visitors. This hotel is conveniently located next to the college, and I'm sure over the years it's made A TON OF MONEY. Unfortunately, the owners of this franchise have not put anything back into this place. They have let it crumble. I doubt with the increase in the cost of materials and labor, it 's going to change. I honestly can not believe that Holiday Inn hasn't pulled their name from this property. Here is a list (contributed by my whole family):1. Breakfast = "dog water." The waffles had a "skin" on it. They didn't eat it. And, for me, the coffee was full of grounds.2. The rooms are a disaster. The walls haven't been washed in 20 years, the carpets are thining, pulling from the floor, and very dirty. So is the furniture. There was mold growing in certain spots of the tub. If this place burns to the ground, it's going to be because their exhaust fans are filled with dust and lint.3. YOU HEAR EVERYTHING off the highway. And, don't forget the trains! All hours of the night.4. The elevators seem like they might trap you. No inspection stickers. Sooooo...5. Now, the worst of it, the pool.We showed up to the pool. My youngest jumped in and then got out. But, as I was walking by to turn on the spa, I looked in the water... Green and murky. I have no idea what has happened there and for how long it's been happening. But, all I can think of is Mersa! So, they weren't allowed back in the pool. But, even though the spa didn't work, the water looked clean and clear, so we got in for a bit. The downside was the fact they there were way too many chemicals. It left our skin flaking and extremely dry. The bathroom in the pool area was absolutely disgusting. If you feel the need to stay here, pay the $160 for the suite. I do feel like it's not used as much as the two queen or single king rooms. Leaving it in a tiny bit better shape. If we had been there for more than 1 night, we would have switched hotels. But, it was one night, the beds, linens, and bathroom were clean. All in all, avoid this property. Go to the Courtyard Marriot.

This motel needs a huge renovation. I am very traumatized that this was a Holiday Inn Express. The ceiling fans were dirty, our first room had what looks like a large head size blood stain. The carpets were matted with what looks like years of filth that even a huge cleaning service couldn't fix without ripping out. The first room was inhabitantable being that I could not even touch the deeply stained grotesque black stain looking couch/recliner type chair. The walls were untouchable being so stained and missing baseboards etc.. looked like a cheap getting 40$ a night room which was 169.99. I asked to move rooms which the gentleman looked peeved about stating he did not have anymore for the night then called management and gave us a mini upgrade. Still disgusting and my husband wrote his name in the one inch of dust on the ceiling fan. The walls were just as dirty. I felt so sick the next morning especially after a dirty stained bed with public hairs on the supposed "clean" sheets and yellow urine stain. I tried to jump in and out of the shower without touching a thing and my poor husband jumped out of the shower said eek please grab his shoes the carpet was matted with grim he refused to even step on it. Shame on you guys using such a great name and charging top dollar when the whole place really needs a renovation. Not to mention the swimming pool was full of green slime lights are very dim and dark in there to hide the filth. Breakfast eating area was also fifty all the way down the halls and the elevator felt like it was going to break down. So grossed out I will definitely be reading all reviews from now on

If there is a choice, I would give it 0.5 star. This is the dirtiest Hotel I have seen. The walls are dirty and disgusting, with a lot of area broken and peeled off. The quilt is also very dirty with couples of black spots on the top, and there is a big yellow spot on the bedding sheet as well (I forgot to take pictures of the dirty quilt and bed sheet). We have to take off all of them, sent them to front desk, and request for a clean set of bedding and put them on by ourselves. Also looks like nobody did any housekeeping for this room, it is dusty everywhere. I wish we didn t book this horrible hotel (fortunately we just stay for one night) and I m wondering how it can keep the business running. From tonight, I know I will not stay in Holiday Inn Express any more. I think the top management need to do something to keep your customers.

The room seemed nice upon first entry, but with use was found to be in major disrepair. The table leg was broken and barely standing, the lamp was broken, no exhaust fan in bathroom, TV was small, need was horribly uncomfortable. The spa tub was unusable, there was no way to plug the drain, and also no way to fully drain the tub. We had to use a wrapper to block drain, and when done the tub never drained after removing wrapper. Only found 3 jets blowing, all were broken and unable to be turned to open. The breakfast was disappointing, waffles can't be made fresh, omelettes were egg white which is flavorless. Biscuit and gravy only thing decent. We complained at the desk but it fell on deaf ears. They did not care, so here we are leaving a negative review after paying $160 for a motel 6 quality room.Rooms: Very outdated, they don't maintain.

If you like clean hotels, don t stay here. The biggest issue was that there was a used bar of soap (that was still wet) in the shower. The sink handle looked like it needed to be wiped down, the fridge and microwave were not clean as well.

We didn t stay here at this location but customer service is what I m rating. Passing through at 4:30am and my 5yr old really needed to potty and he was nice enough to let us through. Thank you to the young man who was working night shift. Also the bathroom was clean and well maintained.

My stay was amazing! Room was comfortable and cozy. Service was A+, from the management to the house keepers they made me and my family feel welcomed and was very polite throughout the duration of our stay. I was there on business and everything I needed was in close proximity to the hotel. Overall...I give this place a 5 out 5! I will def stay again and whenever I'm in town.

I'd give the rooms 3.7 stars. Not quite a four, but better than a three for sure. They also have a pool and workout facility along with breakfast in the morning with pancakes and cinnamon rolls. The policy handbook is outdated in the room. They DO allow pets with a $35 surcharge. It does not have to be a service animal. Lots of parking and conveniently located from the freeway.

The dirtiest Holiday Inn and probobly the worst hotel experience. If it wasn't for Elizabeth and another sweet girl working the a.m. shift, I would have checked out of an already paid 4 night stay. A/C wouldn't work, so Elizabeth moved me. 2nd room didn't lock, found a dirty toilet seat, crumbs on table n chair, but the worst was hair in the sheets and pillow case. Elizabeth moved me again! 3rd room also had hair in the sheets and on pillows. It was obvious the maids are not changing out sheets! Elizabeth ever so kindly changed the bedding herself and inspected the rest of the room. Also the breakfast/ kitchen area was very clean. That lady also did great! Thumbs down to the all the rest tho! I'm very thankful to the 3 ladies that made my stay tolerable and even pleasant while I dealt with them! However, I will never stay here again!

Nay far the worst Holiday inn I ve ever been too. That name has a reputation for clean rooms. This place wasn t. And for the price you d would expect it to be clean but it was. From the floors to the carpet and tile in the rest room. Disgusting, if your on drugs then this is suitable or if was under $75 a night. Also very outdated and worn down furniture and carpetThis place reminder me of economic lodge $49 a nightDon t bring your kids here, unsanitaryI m very disappointed

Room was ROUGH and dirty. Flat surfaces were dusty and there were stains on the walls, carpet, and furniture. There was even a blood stain on the wall near the mirror in the bathroom. The walls were banged up and scratched and some of the outlets had electrical tape on them, indicating not to use them?? It was probably the worst hotel room I ve ever stayed in. Was NOT on par with other Holiday Inn Expresses we ve stayed at. Would definitely not recommend and will not stay here again.Rooms: Room was rough and not very clean. Would not recommend.

This Holiday Inn Express is in such an excellent location. It is right off the i10. The breakfast was fully stocked and fresh. Our room was clean and I had a very good sleep. The mattresses and pillows were in great shape and so comfortable!! The general manager, Daniel Duarte was very polite and down to earth. He gave us food recommendations and made us feel comfortable after a long 13-hour drive. I fully recommend this holiday inn express due to how friendly the staff was and how clean our room was.

IF I COULD GIVE A WORSE SCORE I WOULD!!!We are big travelers and have ALWAYS stayed at Holiday Inn Express, Im not fussy and have traveled the world staying all over the USA, the amazon, Israel, Eucudor and S. America and without question cleanliness was always a factor, without excuse even in places where the economy isnt good, and business were not flourishing they were clean. This HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS however is FILTHY! We found blood on back of a comforter, in room 123 and the ottman in looks like it was contaminated with bodily fluids. Beyond old carpets they were not vacumed anddisgustingly filthy! Do not let children crawl on them please, do not walk barefoot either, the toilet was boke in and the room was so disgisting it made me cringe, they changed us to room 124 the light bulbs in 2 lamps were burned out and the coffee pot didn't work this is the upgraded room where they moved us to, although a bigger room and not as filthy it still wasnt clean, the carpet is nasty, I didn't see bed bugs but maybe we were just lucky.Old is one thing and this place is definetly in need of a major renovation but FILTHY is another thing and no amount of paint can hide the fact this place is dirty and who ever runs it should find a different occupation. We wouldn't even eat the food at breakfast because I can't imagine how dirty the kitchen is!!! HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS SHOULD BE ASHAMED! Won't ever return here to this one.BEWARE!

I stay in IHG properties regularly and I am usually very pleased. However, I would have to say the quality of this room was the absolutely worst IHG I have been in. Room smelled nasty and the carpet looked like someone either threw up or got stabbed! If we hadn t arrived so late, after a long day, I would have left. The staff was very friendly

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Holiday Inn Express Las Cruces! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, making me feel right at home. The complimentary breakfast was a great way to start each day, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. The location was convenient, with easy access to local attractions and restaurants. I can t say enough good things about the friendly staff who went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. I give this hotel a solid 5 stars and can t wait to return for my next visit to Las Cruces!

The Holiday inn Express and suites off of valley in Las Cruces looks really nice from the outside but the inside is quite old looking. It looks as though they are getting ready to do some more remodeling but the carpet inside was pretty dirty and did not even look as though it had been cleaned in quite a while. Otherwise everything was pretty nice, the bed the bathroom and breakfast are what you would expect at an IHG hotel.

I don t recommend this place that is dedicated to a clear experience. We had high hope for the IHG Here being a Diamond member but the front desk girl didn t even look up my account to get my point even though I asked her multiple times and as for the room there s still dog hair on the bed and the shower is definitely one that you get in and right out terrible experience overall stay way from hereNasty and IHG needs to crack down on this location
