Called Junior about my F-150 and told him we were passing thru from Florida pulling an RV. He was very helpful and gave me peace of mind to continue on to Washington State. Thanks for your prompt and friendly service. Definitely would refer others.

My wife was stranded in Las Cruces, a hundred miles from home. Battery dead, alternator dead, traffic on all sides and temp 105 outside. A very nice policeman called a tow truck, who took her vehicle to Gilbert's Automotive. They stopped working on other vehicles, diagnosed the problems, obtained parts and installed them immediately. They treated her like the wonderful person she is, and went far out of their way to get her vehicle very successfully repaired. She was able to make it back home, delayed by a few hours (that might have been days!), so she was home for dinner. Our praises to them!!

We had car troubles on our road trip and had to stop in las cruces. Gilbert and his team were really kind and helpful and got us on our way in just a day even with it being engine trouble! Thank you!

Horrible communication. A lady named Irma called me and said bring my vehicle in and Gilbert Jr would look at it the same day. 8 days passed and hadn t heard anything so I went in. When I arrived, The same lady had a horrible attitude and had the audacity to be upset because I was upset about her lies. No apology or anything, all she said was you can take it somewhere else . Don t go here expecting good service or communication.

Absolutely Amazing! In Las Cruces on vacation and our car broke down the night before we had to make the 600 mile trip home. Called Gilbert the next morning and he told me to come right over. He got the new alternator and had it fixed in 4 hours!!! Awesome service and very reasonable pricing for the amount of work involved on a 2017 Santa Fe!

i own a 2015 tahoe that needed a transmission rebuild. i looked into alot of shops and looked at the reviews also to help me out with my choice. So i pulled the trigger on this shop. Best decision i ever made they help me out right away got my truck in and out at the time they said and got me back on the road. They are honest and trust worthy mechanic shop. Just great! I was traveling through Las Cruces when my motor home broke down. Nobody else in town, including the Ford dealer was interested in helping me.Gilbert's not only got me in, they fixed the problem in a couple of hours and I was on my way.If I'm in this area again, and I need service, these are the guys I'll call.

TLDR: I'm a old-ish shade-tree mechanic that hates taking work I could do to other people and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gilberts to anyone. They do good work for a reasonable price and they're good people. Support your local shops!After much shopping around I found Gilberts was competitive on the price locally and in El Paso. I also had a recommendation from a friend who had Gilberts rebuild the transmission on their 1Ton Ford. I took them a bench rebuild on a 99 4l60E with upgrades. They had it done in a week. It now has about 100 miles on it. I couldn't be more pleased with the way the transmission shifts. Definitely better than when it was new. In most cases the tach is the only way to tell when it shifts, either up or down, unless I have the pedal on the floor. When I went back to pick up my final receipt they welded up an exhaust joint on the new Catalytic converter assembly I put in it while I was at it and they wouldn't let me pay them for that.

Replaced bearings off of my Dads Chevy Silverado after the truck was run without oil. Truck works great like before. Highly Recommend.Replaced transfer case off of my daughters Dodge truck after drive shaft locked up and broke case. Found a used one to rebuild and still on the road.Found electrical issue on Dodge truck another time it had issues.Fixed my Toyota Camry's power steering rack after they found the leak.Found accelerator issue on my F250 Diesel truck after it would speed up and slow down.Flushed cooling system and replaced water pump on my F250 Diesel truck after it was over heating.The top service center I trust in Cruces.
