Took my mini cooper in for a coolant leak. After a month of the vehicle sitting at their shop (two different trips because they didn't fix the problem the first time), and about 2k; the problem still wasn't fixed. Very poor communication, to the point they replaced a part without giving me a price quote or asking if I would like to proceed with the replacement. The next day, after picking up my mini, it started acting up again to the point that i couldn't drive it. When I called Baird's to inform them, all they had to say was, "You need a new engine or head gasket." I took my mini to Rid's Auto Shop that same day. They took it in immediately, sent me vido and pictures of everything they were doing, called me within 45min of having the vehicle in the shop to let me know exactly what needed to be done (not a new engine or head gasket). I was even given two separate quotes, depending on how I would like to proceed. They had my mini out of the shop and working perfectly by the next day. GO TO RID'S, NOT BAIRD'S. PERIOD.

Excellent customer service! Very friendly. Reasonably priced. Very knowledgeable. If they can't do it or it's not worth the fix they'll be honest with you. I highly recommend them to everyone!

Best shop in las cruces . Honest and great . I work on my own vehicles but when I stumble and can t figure it out my car goes no where else . Cheap and reasonable can t complain. Best shop in las cruces

They are fair and honest. I knew that I had an oil leak and they fixed that problem. They also told me that my car also was leaking from the racking and pinion steering. Looking at having that repaired or replaced.

Took my Ford Explorer Sport Trac in for dianostics testing. They told me the motor was locked up. I picked it up, brought it home, charged the battery and tried to start it. The motor turns over. It's not locked up. Their tech was lazy and didn't want to mess with it. Told me it would be $8015 for a new motor. I'm at the point where I physically can't turn wrench anymore but knew I should have trusted my gut and looked at it myself. Big time liars over there

I moved to Las Cruces over 6 years ago and needed repairs on my Jeep. The staff and technicians are incredible, fair, and TRUSTWORTHY! They have done excellent work at reasonable costs. Read the reviews for this mechanic and was impressed so I decided to call and see if they could fix my RR Sport. They were busy but said to bring it in coming week. I drove it in and dropped it off on day before 3 day weekend. They said they would start next morning but most likely could not have it done till day after 3 day weekend. Weekend came and went and so did 13 days before they finally said they started on it. Frustrating when you don't have a spare car but you have a busy life. The day they started on finding the cause of my electrical Issues I called to ask about progress made and was told they needed to first replace the completly dead battery that was keeping them from doing anything. I said no I just put a brand new one in a month ago. He said "ok, let me see what we can do and I'll call you back". He never did so I called him and was told they replaced the battery with another new one but they were now locked out by the immobilizer and could not do any more unless I authorize them to call a locksmith who hopefully could by pass immobilizer for an additional charge of about $200. I declined the offer and went down to pick up my RR Sport. When I got there they said it would be $297 but they did not charge me for the battery. I said it wasn't right because they did not fix anything and I did not authorize the battery change. They insisted I owed the money. I paid and sat down to wait because they needed a few minutes to bring it around. 20 minutes later they handed me the keys and said here you go but don't know what your going to do because it won't start.I went out to my car and spent a good 30 minutes trying to start it (I'm not a mechanic). Finally soaked in sweat and almost $300 light in pocket I gave up and went to confront the guy with my money. No refund. Tired and frustrated I told them I would return next day to get my RR Sport and I did. It started for me after a long time trying and about to give up. Still broken and no refund it sits in my driveway till I get paid again so I can pay a good mechanic to fix it.

Was ripped off went in for coolant leak. $1,500 dollars later and my coolant is still leaking. Save yourself money and time and just go somewhere else.

Before I go into this I do want to state that I dropped my car off without an appointment because I dropped it off on a weekend to avoid a tow. So maybe my experience would be better with an appointment but took them 1 week longer to just look at my vehicle than they estimated. My insurance company said they would fix it and cut me a check to pay it and easy peasy all done. Well when I go to pick up my car they didn t do the work. No one told me that they couldn t do the work. My insurance rep and myself feel like we were a bit lied to and mislead. They held my car for 2 weeks for an oil change and ac pressure test. That s all they did when they were supposed to replace a bracket and undercarriage part. Wow! I mostly feel like they just didn t have time for me and didn t care. They said they are not a body shop. Well why didn t they tell me they couldn't do ALL of the work. Bad communication. My car was covered in nasty bird poop and one tire was under 15 psi when I drove away. Very disorganized and apparently didn t care for my business.

Went there to get outside door handle installed,they did that,but door doesn't open,they diddnt even try to open door after instalation I tried to open door,would not open,they told me I need to go to another shop

Took my van in thinking it was one thing, they found the real reason and quick! They also noticed my power steering was off (I'd been putting that repair off for some time). They fixed all my problems! Very professional, timely service, and affordable. No inflated prices like you see when dealing when dealerships! I have found my new safe spot when it comes to my vehicle. I will be a repeat customer. You should be too!

Took my truck in and had them look at it only to tell me it was fine. They were very friendly and turned my stressful day into a stress free one. I'm assuming they're honest since they didn't try to rip me off, which is a plus with mechanics.

Great customer service!! Had car service with them a few months before relocating away from Las Cruces. I experienced car problems during the move and the Baird team assisted me with my issues 1000+ miles across the country. The staff is friendly, patient, and they genuinely want to do a good job!

I used Baird s for some maintenance on a camper van. The cost came in lower than expected and they took the time to explain everything. Turnaround was pretty quick. I needed a timing chain. Baird's quoted a reasonable price, set up a time, and delivered on time for the agreed price. I has been a month and my acura runs better than it did without question.If you have an expensive car and are looking for a reputable mechanic may I suggest Baird's.

These guys listened to my personal diagnostics and avoided taking steps I had already done. They respected my wife and listened to her input in a non-assuming way. They were transparent with billing and called with updates. They found the loss of power off idle due to malfunctioning fuel pressure readouts and tracked electronics to find interferences fixing the problem without purchasing full harness sized replacements.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Absolutely love this automotive company and would recommend that highway to anyone I come across, there costumer service is quick to the point and polite! Baird's also provides shuttling if you need to be taking to work or home, which is just wonderful! I was personally in for an oil change and was out in forty minutes and the price was to my knowledge unbeatable 35 dollars is all I paid! Stop in, & I'm sure you won't be sorry. Professional and courteous!

Let me just say this (AMAZING)! Great customer service! Always keep you updated on your vehicle and gives you options and information to make the best decision when it comes to your vehicle! Even when they are busy they treat you like VIP! I recommend this shop above all others in Las Cruces! Me and my wife love there work! Highly recommend! Great prices for their work and they are fair! The quality is always great!

I made an appointment a week in advance with the understanding that my vehicle would be looked at that day, I would receive a call about an estimate, and my clutch would be able to be replaced that day or the next day. This is what the mechanic told me at least. None of it turned out to be true. I called at least 5 times over the three day period they had my vehicle only to finally be told that they were unable to complete any work due to the age and inability to source parts (they knew the age when I booked the appointment). I made it abundantly clear at the time of scheduling how it important it was that I got my vehicle back as soon as possible and was assured it would be done before the day I absolutely needed it. Now I am forced to reschedule my cross country move because their ability to complete work and maintain the timelines they set is abysmal. I understand that there are times when it takes longer than expected to diagnose the problems with a vehicle. But it is unfathomable that it took three days to determine that they were incapable of performing the necessary repairs and that I had to repeatedly contact them in order to get updates on my vehicle that has been with them far longer than the expectation that THEY set.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning

I love this place. It is hard to find a mechanic that I trust but Baird has a really great reputation and is one of the most trusted in Las Cruces. If I still lived in the area, it would be the only place I would trust with my vehicle. Around Christmas, while I was visiting my check engine light went on. I asked them to check it out for me and it was a simply problem that I had had another mechanic fix in Roswell. They would have fixed it but told me i should take it back to the other mechanic and make him fix it. They could have fixed and charged me for it but didn't. They do tend to be a bit higher in price but for a sound mind and their honesty, it is well worth it.

I and several of my friends use Baird's as they never over charge, always fix it right the first time and treat you well.If you need a ride home while they do their magic on your ride....no problem.

So I just want to thank the team over at Bairds Automotive for helping my girlfriend and her aunt out. They are traveling cross country to move her back home from AZ to MI. She had an engine light come on about 4 hours into the drive and they stopped in NM for the night. After looking at some reviews she decided to take it here. Not only did they get her in for a diagnosis that same day (every dealership said Friday was the earliest the could see her) they were able to find out that the fuel injector has gone bad. They ordered her a new one for the next day so she can continue her trip home. It s hard to not be able there to go over stuff with here when it comes to this but I m glad I felt comfortable trusting them to give her a fair price and in a very impressive timely manner. I work in the auto industry and it s hard to trust dealer service departments in any aspect imo. Just want to thank Greg for helping her out and if all goes well she will be heading home tomrorow afternoon. Thanks for being great people!Service: Engine repair
