I called Monday to schedule a timing belt kit for Thursday @8. I clarified that I wanted to schedule ahead, to ensure it would be done that day. On Thursday, I arrived to drop off my vehicle at 8 am. No one was there. At 8:20, when someone did arrive, I asked if I had an 8 am appointment. The technician confirmed. At 4 pm, I began to worry. I called and my car had not been touched. They not only didn't keep an appointment but had total disregard for customer's schedules. Will not be rescheduling.

I had taken my truck to 2 different mechanics and was told that I needed a new engine. After taking it to Advance Automotive, all my truck needed was an Internal engine cleaning, the truck was sitting for so long. Truck is running greatVery professional and honest thanks again

Had an oil change done. My new husband wanted to check my oil and I stated that it was replaced not that long ago. He checked it anyways and my oil level barely showed. Went to Walmart and put in nearly 5 quarts of oil. So glad he check the oil. Took it to Baird's Automotive next to Chevron. They fixed the oil leak.

They saw me as a walk in! I was traveling from out of town when some warning lights came on. They had me diagnosed and back on the road in no time and notified me of other issues that my regular shop had missed recently. Very thorough, caring and friendly!

Excellent service and no hustle with back and forth calling to see if my car is fix. Leo is Awesome and price are pretty Fair. He stays in touch all the time and make sure is completely fix when you pick it up. Thank you Leo!!

I took two different vehicles to Leo and the guys at advanced automotive and they did a great job!! Fast honest work Sam was also very helpful! I ll definitely be recommending them and using them again( they did motor mounts 2 ac s whole front end suspension ) very pleased

The absolute best! Trust is rare in this age, but Leo Quintana stands behind his work. The shop is very busy due to the quality/value equation. Excellence takes time and expertise. I highly recommend.

Had a problem with my steering, I wasn t to about 4 mechanics in the area and no one could help but him. They were fast, reliable and efficient. Officially the best mechanic in town!!!

Derek and Leo are awesome. I brought them my 1993(!) conversion van, asked them to look at a couple of specific issues, and to go over vehicle from bumper to bumper and let me know what they found. The specific issues were completely taken care of, and the suggested services all made sense given age and repair history. They found something a prior mechanic missed. With this vehicle, there is always unexpected stuff, and repairs ended up taking longer than initially planned, but these guys went above and beyond to get it done and back to me. Fair prices. I went there thinking my alternator and starter were both bad and it turns out it was just the starter. Leo was very professional and informative. They even stayed after hours on a Friday night to finish my car for me. I definitely will go back there when I need my oil changed. Best price I could find in Las Cruces for my alternator. Highly recommend!

This place is 5 star great. I was traveling in my Dodge RV extended van, and i broke down. I needed a water pump changed. They were right at it. I was lucky that they could get to it first thing Monday morning. The Tech did a great job. No leaks, no problems. It always feels so comforting and reassuring to find a quality and reputable Place such as this. I Wish I was a local and could give them all my work.

We were on a road trip and has a coolant leak while in Las Crusces. Advanced Automotive was able to get us in that morning and had the car ready the next day. Service was done well and at an affordable price. Highly recommend.

I dropped my car off on a Friday and informed the mechanic (Rigo) that my car was not shifting into high gear, that it shifted from 1st to 2nd then would not shift into 3rd, I asked how much it would be to check out the transmission, i was quoted a price of $80 - $90 which I was okay with. On Tuesday I called to check on my car they said that i was next to get worked on. On Friday i get a call that they had checked out my car and that it was not shifting because the fluid was low, that the transmission pan gasket was no good and that is why the fluid was leaking. I gave the okay to change out the fluid and filter and replace the gasket, they then said that the car was overheating, i informed the mechanic that the water pump, thermostat and radiator had just been replaced and asked if they were sure it was overheating, the mechanic then said that it was not overheating a lot just slightly, that it was like 3/4, I informed him that it was just water in the radiator and that maybe that accounted for the 'slightly' overheating, i gave the okay to flush the radiator and replace with coolant, now the mechanic informed me that the radiator cap was broken, they replaced it. it all came out to $440, which i paid. I took the car home and found that the transmission was still not shifting into higher than 2nd gear. Since the shop is not open on the weekends I called on Monday, i informed the mechanic that it still was not shifting, I also asked if the transmission was checked out, he said "since they saw that the fluid was low, the transmission was not checked out" they just cleaned out the pan and refilled the transmission fluid. The mechanic said to bring the car in, but then about 10-15 minutes later I get a call saying that they found a salvage transmission for $750 and that together with the fluids and the labor to swap it out it would cost me $1500.14. So after paying $440 my car is parked until i can save up some money to take it to a more honest and reliable mechanic. This location is not very honest, not very dependable, and I give one star because I cannot post review with the deserving '0' stars, I will never again take my vehicle to this shop.and warn others to avoid this shop....READ THE OTHER POST!

Leo is a life saver. I've lived in las cruces for two years and was lucky enough to find him the first time I had car problems after moving to town. I drive a lot of miles to work each day and have very old vehicles. Leo's team has always kept them running and on multiple occasions have charged me significantly less than the originally quoted me. I've had minor work all the way to complete engine replacement done here and I have had excellent service every visit. Even more important than the great service is the fact that I have absolute trust in advanced automotive, I believe they are as honest as anyone I have every done business with because they have repeatedly earned my trust.

THIS SHOP IS DISHONEST, I took my vehicle in to take care of my lock and tumbler simple 30 dollar part and easy fix just had no time to take care of it myself. The man I spoke with assessed the vehicle and proceeded to tell me I need a whole new ignition in the car, which would run roughly 4 hundred to buy and install. Curious I asked why and told him the problem I'm having doesn't reflect what he was telling me. He backtracked very quickly once he realized I wasn't an incompetent consumer. Told him to leave it alone picked up the vehicle and the 30 dollar part at autozone and did the repair myself. Completely resolved the issue. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY TELL YOU THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY NOT YOUR SATISFACTION.

I called before I went in to make sure they can service my vehicle the same day. Not once did he mention a price for an estimate. I waited 4 hours just for him to give me an estimate at not service my vehicle. He was very rude and very unprofessional. He still tried to charge me for an estimate just for the fun of it. He Did not care for my vehicle at all will never return and hope you guys are very careful using this business because it s horrible.

Best place to go to if you want quick service and very helpful advice! Right before I was going to take off out of town my battery gave out on me I took in my battery and Leo was able to help me out on the spot and immediately checked my battery to find out I needed a new one. I had a new battery within 5 minutes! I definitely recommend Advanced Automotive!

I was sent here on my supervisor request, first time was for new belts on a Hyundai. They offer you a warranty so if it has problems you can bring it back. Thing is later that week it started to make the same sounds. However they were too busy to fix the problem that they 'fixed' and of course it will cost more money.My story isn't done yet, cause I wanted to believe that they do a good job, so I brought in my buick. Now I had window issues on front driver side, so that has a new motor. Asked for them to put the door back on and charge my AC in lines. This costed way more than it should have. Of course it included them finding out the issue on a brand new window motor. I was so interested in knowing how the cost would be so ridiculous, oh motor has a stripped bolt. But they of course won't replace it, not for another 44. So $200 on just you determining what was wrong with my motor, and to put ac in the lines. On top of that they didn't put the door back on, I went back inside and complained. Of course the wife states she doesn't recall me saying that, but she sends her husband in to rescue her. He doesn't do anything special and talks a bunch of bull. His remarks 'i thought you wanted to put it back on yourself'. Really? Cause your wife is singing a total different tune.So in the end, two different jobs, both over priced, both lied to, both the job did not get done. Don't bring any business here

Came into Advance Automotive to get a fuel filter change on my Hyundai Sonata. From the time I dropped it off till I picked it up, it was done in an efficient amount of time. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend anyone needing vehicle repairs to come to this place!

Gregory and his team helped me and my family get back on the road. He and his team pulled out all the stops to expedite the repair and even worked late to get us back on the road. If I lived here I would be a regular customer.

Dishonest mechanics!I'm in the Air Force and my wife is traveling to Las Cruces from Alamogordo weekly for college. She has a 2011 Subaru Forester and last week the air conditioning stopped working while she was on the road. She called me in panic (we suspected bad drive belt or pulley) and I told her to bring it in to Advanced Automotive because they have good Google reviews. Little did I know their mechanics are dishonest. My receipt list my technician as Luis Leon.When I called them to let them know my wife would be stopping in shortly, I told them the a/c stopped working and I think the belt tensioner needs adjustment and the technician agreed. BUT when my wife brought in the car (she pretty much thought she was stranded) they told her they need to replace the ALTERNATOR! They had her convinced. She was ready to pay the $300 something extra. Good thing I called to check in and asked to talk to the mechanic. The mechanic told me that the alternator was overheating which is causing the drive belt to fail, stretch, deteriorate. I questioned his logic and at this point he knew I knew enough to know there's no way the alternator is an issue. I told him DO NOT replace the alternator. At this point he said I need to at least replace the drive belt. I said ok (even though I knew the belt was fine because it was a 3 yr old belt). I just didn't want the belt to break by chance while my wife was on the road back to Alamogordo. I told the mechanic if he replaces the belt, give the old belt to my wife to bring home. He didn't because I suspect the belt was fine.Long story long, the next day I brought the car into the Auto Hobby shop on base and both mechanics there agreed with me that only the tensioner needed adjustment and there's no way the alternator was an issue.It should of cost $50 tops to simply tighten the belt tensioner. Instead I was charged $125.99 total ($17.82 belt, $93.50 "labor"). If they replaced the alternator the quote was $480! At the end of the day I'm mostly disappointed because my wife was stressed the entire time.UPDATE:It gets worse. The belt they installed was for a non-turbo engine which was too long which caused the belt to slip and screech after a week or so. I ended up getting the belt replaced with the right one which cost $90. I brought the wrong belt they used and the receipt for the correction to Advanced Automotive and they did refund $65. That was nice but arguably not enough. They should've refunded the whole charge of $125.99 because they didn't do anything but make problems worse. For that I updated this review with more complaint rather then remove or improve it. These guys are bad business.
