You can almost always count on Marriott properties to be clean, friendly, and offer a good breakfast in the morning. This one did not disappoint in those regards. We were disappointed the pool and hot tub were closed, which is the second time we ve encountered that at a TownePlace Suites in the past week. Also, please include body or hand lotion in the room this location is in the high desert!

Room was next to highway (eventhough it was listed as Mountain View). Heard semi s hitting the same pot hole all night. Paid extra for living and bedroom to be seperate.. tv in room did not work. Manager came up to fix but made it worse. Bathroom had 1 towel and old soap left in the shower. Manager gave a mere $20 discount in the morning.Breakfast was awful. Powdered eggs, oatmeal packets and they would not refresh anything timely.Would not recommend.

We spent a couple of nights at this hotel while visiting Gallup, NM last month. Marriott hotels are usually my first choice since they've seldom disappointed me. This one was a bit different. For starters, the entrance was extremely difficult to find, especially ay night. The lack of signage did not help. When we checked in, the staff was courteous and friendly as usual. The room was neat, clean, and quite comfortable. However, in the morning, we discovered the electrical outlet in the bathroom was not working. It was a GFCI outlet, and I tried everything to no avail. Imagine having to plug in curling irons and blow dryers on the kitchen side because the only other mirror in the room was located there. My only other complaint was a very slow drain in the bathroom sink. Luckily, the outlet was repaired before the next morning. This hotel offers a continental breakfast in the morning, and we had breakfast both days. This complaint is not about the breakfast itself, but about one of the guests. As we sat and ate breakfast, we noticed an older woman carrying a small dog in her arms while she filled her plate with food items. It was unbelievable to watch how close that dog's nose and mouth came to some of the food items on the kitchen counter. Additionally, the guest was handling some of the food items with her bare hands. We simply thought that was unhealthy and actually quite gross. The staff witnessed what we did, and no one said anything to her. When we checked out later that morning, no one was behind the counter. I ran the bell at least three times, and no one ever came to the front. The kitchen staff walked over and checked the back and said they couldn't find anybody and suggested the person might be in the restroom. We probably waited close to ten minutes and finally left without being able to check out.On the way back from Gallup, I called the hotel to make sure we had been checked out. The person answering the phone, I believe she said her name was Audrey, said she had taken care of it. When she asked about our stay, I briefly mentioned the items noted above, and she apologized for the inconvenience.I apologize for the long rant, but I wanted to justify my rating. I hope this was an isolated incident and not usual, everyday business for the Marriott in Gallup...

The room was tiny, but perfectly clean. The front desk staff were friendly! The pool however, was pretty green with the bottom being half blue/half green.Rooms: Very small compared with even a normal hotel room, and by far the smallest TownePlace I've stayed at

Travelling across country wirh our baby and needed to give him space to move around. This place was perfect. Very convenient to the I40. Great studio style rooms with small kitchens (minus the oven, but everything you need to make food) and full size refrigerator. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Got in a good workout and the breakfast is awesome. It's not even the same each day. We stayed 2 nights and slept great both nights. I worked from here and the internet is great and I used the lobby area for my meetings so that the baby could be loud. 5 stars for everything!

We ended up staying here on our cross country drive after a mix up with our reservation at another nearby Marriott. These two locations worked together to make sure our original reservation price was matched and they found us a LOVELY two bedroom suite last minute. My husband and I joked that we could live there. It was very well maintained and quiet. I felt very safe here with my family. There s a lot of long term residents that stay there. The laundry facility was great and the breakfast was one of the best I ve ever had at a hotel!A huge reason we loved staying here on top of everything else is that they are pet friendly.

This place was an absolute gem. We had been driving all day and rolled in late on a 18 night with our dog. We were ready to crash and they were the only pet friendly hotel with a room available. It was a super affordable room with a King bed and high quality amenities in the room. A little small but worth it. Their breakfast was great and the staff was very polite and responsive.

The facility was absolutely amazing. The luggage carts made our stay even more pleasant. Elevators and stairs are available. And is ADA accesable, with a covered awning right up front. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Now for the 1 star. There is a set of train tracks right across the street. And the trains are very long, and very loud! I'm not normally sensitive to loud noise. But it was a bit much even for me.

Checking in/out had no issues, friendly employees with smiles.Hotel room... smells muggy or moldy, old carpet, thin walls (hear the people nextdoor). There's about a 1 inch gap under the front door, light shines in & u can hear other guest walk by. I stayed afew days & each day I had sinus issues & coughing. I checked out, stayed in a different Hotel that was less muggy w/ fresh air flowing & my sinus cleared up.

Wonderful stay..one of the best we've had recently! We were traveling through, reserved room last minute and glad we chose here. Great modern interior, rooms were new and extremely well kept, great water pressure, extremely comfortable bed and pillows, nicely laid out. The breakfast had nice variety of protein, fruit, other items..including blueberry waffles, which I have not had at other Marriott locations; the area was managed well and kept clean for the breakfast flow. Staff were engaging, very helpful, respectful, and knowledgeable when asked information. The lobby was kept tidy and had nice layout. Plenty of parking. I'd highly recommend this property and if we're ever in the area again, we'll be sure to return.

The hotel was conveniently located near the interstate. Check in was very easy, Room very spacious. The Room was complete with a kitchen with full size refrigerator dishwasher and microwave. It had all utensils and tools need to cook a full meal. The sitting area was nice to not have to be on the bed all the time. The bathroom was spacious as well. There was a full closet and shelving for an extended stay. There was a full hot breakfast. Would definitely stay again if were in the area.

Awesome place to stay, the family is already looking forward to our next stay there as we pass through. It happened to be the only room available and the only hotel with rooms get for the night due to an extreme accident. Turned out to be a great room for us. Saw some crazy lady yelling at the night attendants, felt bad for them, but overall thrilled with our stay. We'll definitely return, we pass through there often.

Exceeded all expectations. Not only are they pet friendly, we were able to take our large dog with us. Our room was equipped with a kitchen (and a dish washer!) and a massive combined closet/pantry. Place was clean and comfortable. I d stay here again in a heartbeat.

New hotel, pet friendly, great amenities including an IKEA style kitchen that was stocked with basic cookware and table settings for those ambitious enough to cook their own dinner after a day of travel. If not, there s a Denny s in the same parking lot and other restaurants nearby. The hotel also does a great breakfast buffet that includes meats, eggs, and potatoes along with cold offerings. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spotless. The staff was efficient and helpful. This would be a great place for an extended stay as well as a quick overnight stop.

This was one of my favorite hotel stays ever. All the little details made this place stand out. Clean design, bed top TV tray perfect for eating or laptop, comfy desk, full kitchen, and a well designed couch layout.

Darrell the breakfast man snapped at me and asked where my mask was.... (now I drove 900 miles that day and was frozen in traffic on I-40 for 2 hours outside of NM due to a wreck.). I told him my room and he told me to go get it. Then I asked him where his mask was and he said he was working in a room by himself and didn t need one. Now 99% of the time I have my mask on and this man was just totally rude. He could have handled the situation more friendly. I complained to the front office manager on duty Ms. Angela and she apologized and said well it is mandated. I left and came back a few minutes later and Angela was in the kitchen area with Darrell laughing and talking about me! I get it. I have heart issues. I just forgot to put it on. For purchasing a hotel room for $150 you would expect to be treated a little more kindly. Shame on these two employees for their rudeness. I am very upset and don t tolerate rudeness. Both of these employees could have handled the situation differently. The room was perfect and the bed was sooo comfortable. But I would rather stay at a 1 star hotel and be treated with more dignity and respect than stay in another Marriott property.

Positives: Very friendly and helpful staff, brand new rooms with little amenities and touches that add to the comfort and convenience, good selection at breakfast. Negatives: I booked a King room and was told I was getting a King room but that bed was not a King bed...trying to pass off what seemed like a Queen for a King is not cool. Freeway noise is a little much.

Pros: mini kitchen with fridge and stovetopCons: inconsistent and haphazard housekeeping only offered M-Th if you are staying longer than a week. I was never told of this policy. I made an extra request to have housekeeping on a Friday and was denied giving the above restriction. I came back on Sunday to a smelly room from the trash. The trash bins are small and they only occasionally leave one dishwasher pod. Many days housekeeping only came after 5pm unless I specifically asked to have it completed earlier. One day I came back to my bed stripped and not re-made. Not replacing dish towels or dishwasher pods makes washing dishes difficult. When housekeeping is done thoroughly it s clean but it s been too inconsistent to give and overall higher rating.

Really clean upscale-ish place, especially for the area. Large closet, nice kitchenette, huge closet, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms. The amenities are great with a large indoor pool and hot tub. The hotel staff was awesone. We had Crystal, she told us the hot tub was out of service and knew we were disappointed. She called over to a neighboring hotel and asked if we could use their hot tub. That was super nice!
