I met the owners after they had bought it back in 2011. I stayed in room 118 at the corner for almost 2 years with my son and our dog. They have improved ever since. They are amazing people. I am Rene, and I used to work at the refinery outside of town. I will recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay at a nice place at a great price. Thank you my friend and your family for having a good hotel.Rene.

surprisingly clean for a 1-2 star hotel. the bed is comfortable, the bedding is clean, the towels are quite good. the shower doesn t drain well and 1/2 of the water comes out of the bottom faucet instead of the shower. the coffee maker was broken and wouldn t have made even passable coffee if it hadn t been (very low end coffee packet). the breakfast isn t really. toast and cereal, with barely coffee. The walls are thin, and the train noise didn t bother us at all. 3 stars instead of 2 because they are clearly trying.Food & drinks: not really breakfast

This rating is difficult. The entire motel is warn out. From the stairs to the second floor to the lampshades in the room, ALL ARE IN NEED OF REPLACEMENT. The TV is about the size of my laptop computer and the bathroom is the size of an RV's. With all this said the price is more than fair. The room was clean and for me that is the MOST important aspect. I had the feeling the owners were doing the best they could with what they had to work with. For me, the BIGGEST downfall was the trains going by about every 15 to 20 minutes. I simply couldn't sleep.

We got in at 3 am and asked for a 12 check out and they refused so not a great start. No extra pillows or blankets so we were cold all night. Very minimal but there was a coffee maker with ONE coffee packet, unusable shampoo and soap, can t be cheaper, no hand towels, can t be cheaper. Train is loud but we slept with ear plugs. It was clean.

Has microwave, refrigerator, iron, hair dryer. Breakfast (waffles) was advertised online. No waffles. The staff are nonenglish speaking. Not expecting good hospitality for a cheap room. Very pleasant. Has oversize parking, ice. Very comfortable bed. Front staff walk out barefoot & in pajamas. Housekeeper "take your time". Better than most Route 66 stays. A Better stay here than motel that was about $5-10 more the night before. Thank You!!! Well worth the money.

It felt more like a hostel than a motel. Very dated and they apparently take no pride in upkeep. Rooms were dirty, carpet were visibly dirty, also had stains and what appeared to be blood splater in some areas. Bedding did not seem clean neither, as I found multiple stains and hairs in them and when I requested fresh sheet it was a $10 charge. Train comes by like every 15mins or so, all night blarring their horns. Which had me worried as it would be easy for someone to break into your car without being heard as the trains are so frequent and loud.Yes, it's cheap, but there's good reason for the low price. I recommend you have a current tetanus and hepatitis shots if you are brave enough to stay here.

For the value, this motel was a great place to stay! We were stopping through for the night and needed a place to crash. Rooms are nice and comfortable and come with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a hot shower. There s also an ice machine which came in handy for us. The best perk was breakfast served in the morning. Coffee, cereal, pastries, apples, orange juice, and milk. The owners were also very friendly and accommodating. They made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, this is a great place to stay for what you re paying. Highly recommend.

Comfortable place! Good spot for an inexpensive one night while just needing a place to sleep to get back on the road. People at the front desk are very kind. The outside felt very clean and safe. It does need some upgrading but for the price you can t complain. Definitely stop here if you re on a budget and not staying for a while. Perfect place for that!P.S It is next to a train track and you will be hearing horns of trains. If you re someone who can t sleep with noise don t stay anywhere on this road due to the railroad being close.

The room was clean and smelled fresh. NIce thick towels for showers. I felt safe and didn't worry about my car in the parking lot. Several great restaurants near by. First impression of the exterior was not impressive, but I wasn't interested in a beautifully landscaped motel. I got a great nights sleep, a clean room, a hot shower, All for a great price. Can't wish for more. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there my next time through. The front desk was so welcoming.

Clean, quiet and comfortable. I slept well. The lady at the front desk was very nice. I only paid $65 for the room, which I thought was a great value. The only problem was the motel is adjacent to a train that comes by and blasts its horn. This will wake up a light sleeper. I've paid a lot more for rooms that were not as comfortable.

What a hidden gem! Stopped here for a night on our way somewhere else (like most people) and before getting there was pretty nervous because the price of the room was so affordable.Got there and the man behind the counter was friendly and soft spoken. We got a smoking room and it didn't totally reek of cigarettes. Furnishings were outdated but everything was IMPECCABLY clean. Best part, NO BUGS!! I didn't even see a spiderweb hiding in a corner.Bed was comfortable, we both slept great. Heater worked great, tv worked great and had direct tv with some premium channels. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room. Shower has great water pressure. One of the best motel experiences I've had to date, and you really can't beat it for the price.Thank you so much!!Rooms: CLEAN!! Quiet and comfortable, a bit outdated but the extra amenities like premium channels, microwave and fridges make up for it. King sized bed.Safety: Gate around property, police office drove through property around 1amNoteworthy details: Really nice people work here!

We were looking for a hotel that was off the highway for the end of our vacation, and this came in as one of the cheapest King size rooms available. The room was very large, clean and well put together, and the room even came with a bathtub. The check in, even at 930pm, was fast, with the manager on duty very friendly.Would definitely stay again if I was driving through, as the value and quality for a 2 Star hotel was fantastic.

The owner called me by name as soon as I walked in the door. She was so sweet and accommodating. She had the heat and light on in the room and had it all warm and cozy for us. Her husband helped us park our travel trailer as we needed a warm clean place to shower and sleep, after being on the road for over 6000 miles. Her son helped us find our room and told us about breakfast. As we checked out the owner even gave me an apple for the road!!! Thank y all so much for making me feel safe, comfortable and welcome!!!I will recommend you to everyone I know Nancy H.

Comfy and quiet, friendly nice lady checked us in. I liked they had turned on the room lights for our arrival. The downstairs has an enclosed exterior hallway that curs down on noise and exposure to the elements. Dog friendly but not really anywhere nearby to relieve them other than a dirt lot next door. Good value for the money we would stay again.

This is a wonderful and very hospitable hotel stay for a great price. The rooms have tons of space and the beds are large. Very clean and I enjoyed the heating light in the bathroom to stay warmer during a shower. Would recommend this stay in this town!

This hotel gets 4 stars on cleanliness alone. The furniture was vintage but the water pressure on the hot shower made up for that. Bed was comfortable Great location. Semitruck parking available. Staff was courteous and friendly. Will definitely book again.Rooms: Clean and comfortable bed.

Friendly staff, good amenities, and a small free breakfast in the morning. I was worried because it was near the train tracks, but rooms are quite sound proofed. Environmentally friendly heating and water heating is timed but you can always set it for as long as you want if you get cold. Only knock is the rooms get a little stuffy.

This was an excellent place to stay at! We called the owners to tell them that we would be arriving at 9pm but due to getting lost, we ended up arriving more around 11pm. The owner was so kind about it and stayed up to make sure we got in alright. The room was super clean and it was a great price for what we got! I would definitely stay here again. Excellent service.

This place was an absolutely amazing stay! It's a family run place, and the care they put into it absolutely stands out. We made it there late, unfortunately, and even at that the owner was still wonderfully upbeat and offered us cold drinks before we headed to our room. The decorations are gorgeous, the rooms are meticulously clean, and overall this motel beats the heck out of places I've spent over 150/night on. Keep in mind that it's still a budget motel, so don't go in expecting palatial bathrooms and walk in closets, and also don't show up late like I did and keep the owners up! They are wonderful folks who deserve all the business they can get.

Location... I cannot recommend any motel / hotel in Gallup along route 66 unless you are a heavy sleeper because of the constant railroad traffic with horns blowing all night long. The city needs to get the crossings upgraded so that they don't have to blow the horns. The room was clean, with a small fridge and microwave. The bed was comfortable. The upstairs floor however was lumpy.

Couldn't make it to our reservation in Kingman, so quickly looked up hotels in Gallup. I had to have bottom floor due to being disabled so I saw that this place had 4 out of 5 stars and saw the price. I never heard of Royal Holidays before but if I had to go off with what the other reviewers said, I would give it a try. I called ahead of time and the woman was very energetic and friendly on the phone and took our reservation. When we got there, I was kind of glad to see that the place was fenced in, great for traveling like we were. When my sister was checking in they were really nice, even offered us complimentary waters and fresh watermelon! They took my disability in account and made sure to put me close to the door to make it easier for me (Which I greatly appreciate) the whole bottom floor is closed in with glass windows which is actually really nice. They gave me and my sister a smoking room I assume (because there were ash trays), But walking in the room and being in there for over an hour, I had no idea till the ash trays were pointed out. 10/10 for handling the smoke smell like professionals and keeps the rooms smelling fresh and clean. There were small details that you can see that tells you that they care about your stay, just small things you wouldn't think about that makes you feel very welcomed. I guess my only gripe which could be 100% on me for not looking, it was hard to find plug ins. I was to tired to look to deep. This place deserves more traffic then the other hotels around the area. Name brands doesn't always mean better and this place for sure proves it. Also.... Pet Friendly!

Absolutely adorable. Front staff was very, very polite and welcoming. Furnishings were a little out dated, yes, but who cares? The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, maintained and worked, and we felt safe. They were extremely accommodating of our 3 dogs too, giving us a room on the bottom floor right next to the exit door.Yeah, the heat was a little much since the AC is old and is in the back of the room (it's a pretty large room) and there's no fan, but it wasn't horrible. It looks like they're trying to renovate.Honestly, we couldn't've asked for more from a small, family run business.(Forgot to take more pics)

Exceeded expectations for the price we paid! Seems like an old place, but everything was clean and functional. Pillow wasn t my favorite, but that s most hotels. Breakfast was very basic, but sufficient. The owners are the best part! Incredibly friendly, kind, and accommodating. Would stay again.

to the owner of this motel. thank you for the clean room and all of appliances still working. However, please do something about the smell in Front lobby. i know chemical companies sell cleaning supplies that takes out that ODOR. I would highly recommend staying at this place versusother motels in the area as this is a family owen motel. the train noise is not the owners fault. please don't give the motel owner negative review.

The staff was friendly. The whole motel is maintained very well. Parking is inside a fenced area. Hallways are clean. It was about 60degrees outside and windy. The room was warm and very clean upon entering. The decor is very pleasant and comfortable. Definitely a nice change for the money. I t was a great find.. Thank you staff for all your hard work.

CLEAN. Yes it is a motel and it is not in a great area but the parking lot is gated, which made me feel safer. There is a windowed hallway in front of your room so the door is not right next to the parking lot. Very easy check in and a pleasant man working the front desk. The room was spacious and the shower head had great water pressure.
