My wife and I were traveling through and needed a place to crash for the night. We looked on Google for a place to stay and the reviews for the Roadway seemed adequate. We pull up and are immediately sketched out because of the outdated sign with misspellings that was extremely run down. We walk in and the lobby was absolutely foul. The fish tank was NASTY. No one is at the front desk. When the front desk worker came out he was rude. We asked to see the room first and he obliged. The stairs we had to walk up were stained and dirty. The key to get in the room did not work the first 10 times of trying to unlock the door. When we eventually get in, we look at the bed. The sheets had actual SCABS on it. Like there were actually patches of dried blood on them. They were on the top sheet and underneath as well. The room was old and dated. The whole building made me believe I was in another installment of The Shining. I have never booked it out of a hotel so fast in my life. We then went across the street to the Microtel and were so thankful to find a place that was not gross. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Definitely recommend wholeheartedly! We stayed here two nights and our stay was made particularly pleasant by the comfortable and clean beds, great working climate control, gorgeous and kind Tamara at the front desk and the wise and giving Priscilla in housekeeping (I think she gave me like 7 packages of extra coffee which I use a lot of ). We found this gem of a place through Choice Hotels website. Don't hesitate, book today and enjoy your stay .

Door lock was a little tricky. Facility is clean, but, could use some maintenance. We would stay here again.I posted the previous review at the beginning of November, and I am posting again. We stayed here again and it was very nice. Once again, the room was clean and comfortable. We had no issues with the key this time. It is definitely on our list if we find ourselves back in Gallup NM.

All I had was queen size beds but at least they were accommodating on the lower level. Checked for bed bugs zero. Old spots on comforter. It Really did smell a little like mold but the air conditioner worked and so did the heat. TV one channel. Remote broken. Stayed one nite night no shower curtain. Breakfast pathetic. No fruit, yogurt, like to have seen more muffins the size of cup cakes than these baby ones. No pancake batter just syrup looking for batter. Wall paper bit wierd.

Only place I've ever stayed where there was permanent graffiti in the room. Carpets were stained and damaged. Every corner of the walls were bubbling, the whole building smelled funky, and the coffee was designed for a single serve machine despite being paired with a regular coffee maker. The breakfast was packaged muffins and sad little pale pancakes. It sounds like I am lucky I did not encounter bed bugs based on other reviews

Could be cleaner and breakfast coulda been better. We saw a pancake machine when we checked in and talked about as we checked in. Next morning it wasn't there. It's a $60 room for $60.

Do not stay here. Do not stay here. Do not stay here. Do not stay at this location. They do not change the sheets between people. I am going to post you those pictures now. I climbed into bed and found long hairs that obviously did not belong to me since I have blue hair. On top of all that they kicked us out for asking for new bed sheets. They kicked us out and didn't say we can bring you new bed sheets. They just told me they are kicking me out. This place I thought was cool is definitely not. And the room that they had me in literally had bed bugs besides of 10 cents or a dime. I would definitely not stay here whatsoever. Do not stay here. Do not stay here.

Only looking to stay here for one night. We had to change to THREE different rooms. First room had a roof leak and water stains on the bed. Second room had black marks on the white sheets from shoes I'm guessing and hair on what supposed to be clean sheet. Third room had trash on the floor still and water rings from a cup on the night stand from the previous ppl that stayed in the room. Thank goodness for Clorox wipes. I guess I got what I paid for.

How this place got 4 stars is a complete mystery. The only reason I gave it 2, and not less, was that the couple behind the counter when we checked in last night, were reasonably friendly. I'm guessing they were the owners. The room was severely dated, the bed pillows were horrible, the floor had bumps all under the carpet, the shower curtain rod was ready to fall down,, and the "breakfast" in the morning was a joke. Lastly, the pricing they show on Google Maps is BS. We paid almost $95 for one night, and that was with a senior discount. The owners sure aren't putting any of that money back into fixing the place up.

The room was dirty. Sheets had spots, the floor was dirty not even vacuumed., People's personal belongings still in shower. You could see light around the door into the hallway.Noteworthy details: It was DIRTY

My room smells like feet. There no elevator so you have drag your luggage up a steep stairs. Rooms are not sanitized for covid. Old carpet from the late 80s. The smell of curry fills the upper floor. Doors are not secure in the back or the sides. Anyone can walk right in.
