If there were negative stars I would rate it as such. Wanted $600 for nothing. Then robbed me of $975 in front of the police by saying now he wants more money and he only takes cash. Held my truck hostage by blocking it in with a tractor. Kept using terms like your kind and your people and people like you . It felt like the twilight zone. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid at all costs! Please go somewhere else. Not worth the headache hassle lies, drama, disrespect, and corruption dealing with Richard. Guy should be out of business.

If you wanna get robbed go right ahead.. these crooks robbed me so badly.. truck broke down In Gallup nm ended up shipping them a engine I bought from a performance shop in Tennessee .. I paid 20k for engine.performance engine. they charged me 10k to install it 6.4 diesel f350.. total was $31500.. come to find out they swapped a entire different engine in it.. trucks been parked for 2 years now ..it didn t make it 2 months.. I finally have the money to fix it and mechanic said this is not the engine I purchased from jnk engines

NEVER!!! NEVER!!! NEVER!!!The WORST ever experience! Charged $500 for absolutely nothing, wasted half a day while we had an urgent delivery. On top of this this RICHARD threatened to keep my drivers and my truck as hostages and bill me extra $500 if I would not pay him right away. I was going to call cops because the situation started to be very dangerous and only after that he agreed to send one of my drivers to the bank to pick up the cash. Absolutely horror situation.

This place is by far the worst place to ever bring your truck to don't ever believe anything they tell you. And for price they make it 5x higher than you could ever think. They been doing this for years so if you don't want to lose weeks and alot of money just go to ta.

We had broke down at the Loves Truck Stop on a Thursday afternoon at 4:30pm, we tried for 3 hours to get a tow truck to assist us. Finally there was one person that came to see if he could at least help diagnose the issue. When the person got to us he found that the cable that goes from the shifter to the transmission had melted on the exhaust pipe. We contacted Richard from RG Truck Service and he said if we could get our RV to his shop he would start working on it Friday morning. The guy that came to diagnose the problem assisted us with getting the RV in drive so we can drive it to RG Truck Service shop. We got to the shop at 8:00 pm, Richard said he would try to get a new cable from his supplier. I contacted the local Ford dealer and they said the part would be in the next day. The owner of RG Truck Service said we capsule stay in the RV on the property until the RV was fixed. The part came in the next day and RG s service technician started working on our RV, he had the RV up and running in 2 hours, the service technician even went as far as to install a cable clamp on the cable to keep it from it the exhaust again. We were very happy with the service and the amount we were billed for the service call. If we were ever in the Gallup, NM area, we would use RG Truck Service again. They were very easy to deal with Richard was fantastic to deal with on this service Service: Transmission

Sharing an experience, had by my uncle, who is not tech savvy enough to post a review. Trucking from California thru NM, he was caught in a bind late at night, luckily living in NM I was able to do some research about mechanics in the Gallup area. Richard answered after hours and was able to help him over the phone before getting the truck serviced the next day. Fair pricing and great service! Thanks Richard for getting my uncle on the road again!

Never ever go this place if they touch your rv truck coach whatever they will take your unit as hostage and Richard will suck you dry untill you broke down. Spent 45 days paying 13k after 7 week same problem came back on. I hate this place especially Richard

NEVER BRING ANY OF YOUR TRUCKS, TRAILERS, RVS, ETC: AT ALL COST!!!!! You will save 5x your money getting it towed to an actual respectable company. Who will get the job done right in a timely manner. They keep pushing everything back and tell you it will be done in 3-4 hours. They have done this to my truck for 2 straight days. They will rip you off in your face by telling you that more work needs to be completed on your equipment without providing any quotes until the job has been done I literally do not know how these people are in business still. If I could give out negative stars, not even 0 stars, negative stars, I would. Unbelievable this clown show. I feel so bad for my team and drivers. Wish I would have read the reviews of this atrocity beforehand. Now I am left with no choice. If you read this and are think about sending any of your equipment here by all costs do not do it. They are as unprofessional as it gets.

My radiator started to leak so I took my truck to TA and they estimate the work for 3700$ I thought that this was too much so I did the biggest mistake in my life and I called this shop the boss answer and he said he will charge me way less then TA so I went to him he started working on the truck Wednesday did not finish until Tuesday he was so rude did not answer my phone calls and finally when I got to him he said I have to pay him 6400$ I tried to talk to him but he was so rude and didn t let me see the truck until I payed him 6400$ and my truck is leaking again now. Don t go there they will scam you

My truck was broke down on the side of the highway. Richard (the owner) said he could have this fixed in 4 days. It s now been 12 days and it is just now ready. This was outrageous for our business. We would have took the truck elsewhere if we knew it would take almost two weeks. He should have been honest when telling us how long it would take. We stayed in a hotel for two weeks waiting and waiting. When we called repeatedly to see the status, he told us he won t be dealing with us tonight and to come first thing in the morning. Initially he told us he would accept cash, or check. He will not accept a check, he wants cash or wire transfer. This is now how business should be done. There is something sketchy about this place. He demands a wire transfer. When we told him our business has to do things in an organized way we need receipts of everything. Everything should be recorded.. the costs of parts and labor, and the form of payment should be legit. To top of all of it, he will not let us test drive until he gets payment. which just doesn t make sense.. when you go to a car lot to buy a car, you get to test drive to make sure it drives well. It s just ridiculous with the amount of money we are paying.. for all of the hassle. To be cussed out, to have hands put in my face. Please if you can help it, DO NOT TAKE YOUR TRUCK HERE.

This place is Horrible. Do not come here no matter what Richard promised you. He will take twice as long as everyone else, not communicate with you and his fee schedule is ridiculous. He doesn't respect or care about your time. If I could give it negative stars I would!!!

One of the worst diesel repair shops. Will tell you that they can service all engine types. They begin repairs, which are faulty at best. Complete repairs and let the customer test drive tractor. Then less than a 2 or 3 hundred miles down the road, same indicators and/or problems. Once unit is either driven or towed back to shop, owner gives you the option to bUY the software diagnostics or he can purchase the computer upfront but the cost will be $10,000-$13,000. If you don t have the funds, your choices are either Albuquerque, or wherever. Otherwise customer might have to forfeit tittle for any outstanding bills. Doesn t take CC payments. Cash or fleet checks only. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACEService: Electrical

Our Axel on our double axel trailer broke outside of Thoreau. AAA got us a wrecker and I called around and RG trucking said he could help us and get us the parts. because it was an older trailer the part was hard to get but Richard let us stay in the yard till it was fixed. We are back on the road and a good job was done.

Total rip off. Had a spark plug blow on my RV. Part was 14 dollars, labor was about an hour. Cost me over 900. Would NEvER recommend them. I could have gotten them the part at Auto Zone but instead it took 3 hours to have it delivered. The guys are just standing around in the shop. Then they don t take credit or debit cards. Only good thing I have to say it that they fixed the issue, although it was and easy fix and my husband had to show them on you tube what to do!

THE WORST! Brought my RV in for transmission. It took them well over a month and charged $15K!!!! The RV is not even worth that much. I never would have approved the work, but he never would provide a price ahead of time. He also stonewalled my insurance company ensuring they would not pay, because he new they would take him to court overcharging by 3Xs! After I complained about the price and lack of communication, he became violently angry and sabotaged my vehicle so I could not even have it towed out. If you value your vehicle and safety, avoid this place at all costs. Even if it costs $2,000 to have it towed somewhere else, you will still come out ahead.Service: Transmission

Hey guys!! This place is the worst place you can go fix your Semi,my driver broke down with a water Pump on 12-10-22 Richard the Owner of that Shop told me that he is going to start fixing my trucknext day, we towed my truck to his shop that Saturday Evening my Truck was in his Shop 11 days and almost 8000$ it was fixed,this guys is the BIGGEST SCAMMER I ever had to deal with. And he does not take credit card payment too.Please please read all other reviews about this guy, I made my mistake by not reading.Service: Steering & suspension repair

If u own a trucking company and u break down in Gallup u better not let Richard work on ur truck he will rob u with a smile on his face he charged me $12000 to get my truck back. He did my differentials and and marked up the parts and labor up by $5000 dollars my company name is greyson global logistics out of perris ca. here s a picture of the receipt

Rg truck service repair...was a very good place ..owner was nice to have us stay on the property ..and provided us with power n water to our RV till we got a rental..as they worked on replacing our transmission...thank you rg truck service for your work...we have not had any problems with our rvService: TransmissionService: Transmission

There is really bad customer service. When our trucker broken down we called a towing service. The towing service RECOMMEND us this TRUCK SERVICES. The owenr name is RICHARD changed a NEW transmission. Take around half month. When we picked it and go back in a half trip. The trucker broken down again. Richard told us send trucker to our dealer to check the problem. The dealer told us there is no fluid at all that's why our new transmission broken down again. So I try to contact with Richard he give a another guy 's number. Let me call him.For a few days I can't contact to anybody. When I contact whit them. They still find the other reason to cover up the truth and play games with us. Even though dealer told RICHARD reason already.For now we need spend 20000 more to repair the trucker And spend more time We will fight with them by legal way. Don't trust any towing service ' s RECOMMEND

We highly recommend RG Trick Services!!The owner Mr.Richard was concerned and trying to get us up and running.We are traveling in our 40 ft Motorhome and a hydraulic hose busted leaving us with no Jacks or use of our slide outs. We are just starting our 6 week Road Trip. We couldn t wait for the parts because we have Our trip planned with reservations and another couple following us in their Motorhome.His Techs found which line busted and capped it. Another truck in my company blew the engine and truck and trailer was towed to their yard. I was dispatched to bobtail out and take the loaded trailer on west for delivery. Steve went out of his way to enable me to pick it up after hours, let me take my break on the property, and was genuinely concerned with my dilemma/mission. The outside area was all I saw, but everything was clean, neat, and in great appearance! I have saved their contact info and won't hesitate to call them if I again have a need in the Gallup area!

We were driving our Prevost Bus On our way to St. Louis. Stopped in Winslow Arizona overnight. When we woke it was 4� outside. We got on the road And started having problems fairly quickly and we weren t sure what it was.... we actually thought it was the road. our bus was like being on a roller coaster it was just bouncing so hard in fact the blinds fell off the windshield because of the violent nature of the bouncing Pulled off in Gallup called R and G truck repair in addition to a tow truck because we didn t think we would be able to make it. We lost all air in front suspension. We were able to drive it ourselves to R and G. They immediately looked at it and couldn t find anything wrong with it. It was decided that it was the O-rings. Because of the cold air outside it wasn t able to seal and the air was leaking out. Richard , the owner told us that once it heated up that we would be able to continue driving it with no problem. He didn t charge us anything. We would highly recommend his services. He seem to be very honest, professional and all-around good guy that you can trust to work on vehicle.

I called the Owner ( Richard) He told me 1500-1800$ to clean the DEF filters. I told him everywhere in the country is 250 to clean it. He said Look where is your truck broken down which is Gallup ,NM. I m very happy that I read the google reviews before I sent the truck to the shop and get ripped off at the end !!!!!!! TRUCKERS DO NOT GO !!!!! NOT RECOMMENDED !!!!! This is embarrassing!!! I feel bad for truck drivers !!!!

Steve and the crew did an excellent job. We have a Volvo 780 Number six injector went out they started working on it at 8 in the morning they were finished by 2:30 in the afternoon the same day.. Great mechanics friendly and priced very reasonably. Can't tell you how grateful we are for the great job and the quick work they did. Thank you R G trucking services you guys are wonderful. From Kenny's trucking again.

Great place to get work done by honest folks. Very fair price, but the service was exceptional. Steve was great to deal with. I spent the night in Gallup on my way to Phoenix, the temp dipped to -10 F and my 07 Duramax would not start the next morning (along with a lot of other Diesel trucks.) I called Steve on the advice of the Hotel manager at the Days Inn. While Steve could not get to me right away due to the number of folks in line in front of me, he did keep calling me back to see how I was making out and did get to me by noon of the day I called. The seals in my very old primer pump had failed in the cold and the fuel pump was sucking air. Steve and folks diagnosed the problem, got a new part from the Dealer and got me underway by 8:30 AM the next morning and a very reasonable price. I highly recommend R G Truck Services. And a PS to the owner, as a employer myself, you should do what it takes to keep Steve and his crew happy. They are doing a great job for you. Traveling from Cortez in our travel trailer the electrical cord hookup from the trailer to the truck was destroyed. No lights on trailer and no battery.for trailer. We called and was told to bring the rig right in and they would look at it. Wonderful service! The shop is very clean. Professional. Within an hour we were out on the road again with lights and battery. Highly recommend this business. Thank you so much.

So we sat in a hotel room for days over a holiday weekend just waiting to find out what can be done to fix our truck so we can get home to CA and Steve was great! He didn't just try to do the easy fix which was thousands of dollars, instead he searched for a cheaper solution. How many mechanics do that? He helped us get home again with the least amount of pain. It was fate that we found him because we stopped into Roy T Herman's Garage & Service in Thoreau, NM and while he was not able to help us, he directed us to R G. Thank you so much to Herman and to Steve for helping us get home.

They ripped me off a couple years ago. Any good reviews have to be the owners giving themselves 5 stars DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES LET THEM WORK ON ANYTHING. THEY CANT EVEN WORK ON BEING AN HONEST BUSINESS

October 13th 2018 @3pm our truck threw the fan through the radiator we was dead in the water. Started googling shops nearby and looking at reviews and RG was who I decided was the best choice. Called and Steve answered I told him what happened and he gave me the number of a wrecker to come get us and take us to the shop. He meet us at the shop and reassured us we was his top priority. So Monday they started searching for parts which had to be ordered out of state. They stayed in contact with us every day and worked late Tuesday night so we could get rolling. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. They are fair honest people. If you ever find yourself broke down in Gallup NM do yourself and pocket book a favor and call RG. Thanks again Steve.
