This is a review not for the hotel itself, but for the front desk. My parents checked into the hotel on 4/9 and requested a first floor room because they are elderly and had their dog. They put them on the second floor. My parents asked if they can have a first floor room, and the front desk (her name is Jessica) was very rude and yelled at my parents. She then informed them they had 10 minutes to get out of the hotel and canceling their reservation. All because they just wanted a first floor room. The one star goes for your customer service which is sad that she had to be that way towards them.

Absolutely the worst customer service. Front desk lied to my wife about their cancellation policy when calling to make a reservation. When I called to correct the situation, the young woman at the front desk was extremely rude, not helpful, and really didn t seem to care at all. I recommend completely avoiding the entire town to be honest. Trashy place. Nowhere seems clean or safe and this hotel is no different.

Visited during our roadtrip through NM. Was clean and good. Would recommend this place. Was a good place to stop by towards monument valley. Internal small roads from here.Rooms: Rooms were good

I can t say enough good things about Mary. I booked my room but is was right on the highway. I was going to move to another hotel because I couldn t stand the noise and Mary told me she couldn t get me another room in the hotel. She went out of her way to find me another room that was QUIET!!! Her manager was quite helpful too. Mary is the best and deserves a raise! Thank you so much!!!

So I heard mixed reviews about this place, and after visiting I can say this hotel was pretty nice. It has everything a hotel would have, including a coffee maker and a seat for the shower. The breakfast tasted surprisingly nice, and the pool was clean. There was no channel sheet, but you can just press the GUIDE button on your remote to look for a channel. The closet door was a giant mirror, which I thought was pretty cool. I enjoyed my time here, 9/10.Safety: There were bars everywhere in the bathroom and a place to sit in the shower.Food & drinks: Waffles, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, crispy diced potatoes, eggs, orange juice, apple juice, water, muffins, and a whole lot more for breakfast. If you need ice, it's on the left of the elevator.Noteworthy details: Pool hours 10 AM - 10 PM, and max pool depth was 5'. If the pool door is broken, use the other one by the guest laundry.

Parking lot was full when I arrived around 9 pm. The lobby had no AC during check in. Other than that, the room had a comfy bed and all essentials. The staff in charge of breakfast maintained the dinning room clean and were attentive to our needs.Rooms: There was a continuous vibration on the restroom s floor. Other than that, bed was comfy and rooms were equipped with all the essentials.

The place is great, highly recommended if you go through Twin Buttes, the staff is amazing, the prices are ok and the rooms are very comfortable. If you need to rest, this is the right place.Rooms: Confortable and relaxing.Food & drinks: Just delicious.

What a change a couple of years make! I have been stopping here since 2019 in order to charge my car. And until today, I would get the stink eye or more so be told that I could not use the restroom and to go across a busy highway, which by the way you weren't allowed to use their restroom either.Today, noticing new management I tried again. Not only was the front desk staff friendly with a smile and a hello, she was also very helpful in providing information to her favorite place to grab a quick bite.Now, I probably will not spend the night at this Best Western, for it is a pass-through on my way to Phoenix, but I will spend the night at other BWs when the opportunity arrives.Noteworthy details: Lots of Tesla supercharging stations.

Room was clean and beds were great nice comfortable bedding. Usually Best Western hotels are great choice. Remember as a customer we have many choices. Appreciate that we chose your establishment in Gallup, NM. We arrived late traveled from LHC, AZ. 9:15pm. Stayed in 203. The heater/ac did not work, couldn t get the wall thermostat or the wall window unit to work. The room phone didn t work. Because it was so late we decided to ask for covers. We called the hotel on our cell phone no answer. I went down to front desk no one was there. Other people were waiting to check in but no one was at the desk. Note said be back in a few minutes. It s a Friday night hotel was almost full. But just one attendant at desk. Needless to say I was too cold and tired to sleep. Breakfast poorly prepared. The layout of food left us searching for items that normally go with the best western buffet. The juice was so watered down I didn t realize I had kiwi strawberry, tried just orange juice. Don t serve juice if you have to dilute it down to have enough. So as I was checking out the attendant ask how was your stay? I told her just what I m writing as my review. This was the excuse which my reason for the review. We are short staffed can not get anyone to work. I am so tired of that excuse for poor quality and mediocre service. Pay your help so they will want to work for you. It cost a lot more to live in this economy. No wonder people don t care about doing a great job.Also I am a rewards member. I have a choice where I stay and I will not stay at BW West in Gallup, NM again. Thanks for listening.

Stayed at Best Western Gallup West for three nights. That staff was great and friendly. The rooms where very clean and spacious. Breakfast was great, had waffles, eggs, and biscuits and gravy along with cereal or oatmeal. Pool was great kept warm. The hot tub was out of service which was fine since little one enjoys swimming anyways. Overall my stay was great and will definitely return to Best Wester on any future stays in Gallup

We checked in 7/26 a little before midnight We paid cash for the room , upon leaving we were refunded a counterfeit 100 dollar bill. Got all the way pass Albuquerque and attempted to pay for gas and was shown the fake bill that stated motion picture money I called best western to inform them of the incident and was told I what I was saying is impossible because they leave the money as is on deposit all the money we had was straight from the bank we had all fresh clean 100s , I then asked for the number to corporate which I was told was also impossible I asked for management and was hung up onThis is so disheartening as a human if it was up to me I d be keeping an eye out for these type of complaints because I know I m not the first one this is happening to install cameras something but this was so messed up when y all catch the culprit switching out 100s I would like a full on apology this is unacceptable

Friendly staff and clean room. Beds were comfortable and the AC worked great. There was a nice open area for breakfast in the morning. They had eggs, waffles, sausage and potatoes.

Rudest night clerk for check in. Entire hotel smelled awful. Refused to move us or to issue refund. Just got call from manager who tried to strongarm me into taking down my negative review. Still no refund for reservation error. Tried to blame mixup on third party even though clerk told me the hotel policy was to blame when I attempted checkin.

I gave at least 3 stars because I didn't want to take away from the front desk workers. They were professional and helpful. But what hurt yall from getting 5 stars on service was the lady that is in charge of the breakfast area. Very rude! When we called to book a room, we asked if it was pet friendly and we were told yes...that's it...they never mentioned any restrictions with the pets. So we went to breakfast...I had both my puppies zipped up in their stroller. I had them parked at my table. No distraction what so ever. They breakfast lady came to my table and told me " I don't allow pets in the breakfast area" then turned her back on me and walked away. She never even gave me a chance to respond. It was very unprofessional. My husband and I take our puppies everywhere and always appreciate finding places that are pet friendly and if they do have restrictions we will abide by them. So maybe when someone is booking and has pets, yall should make them aware of pet restrictions before they book instead of allowing the angry breakfast lady to do it....Wish I would have caught the breakfast lady's name..but it's whoever was on shift on the morning of Sunday, April 30th 2023Rooms: CleanNoteworthy details: Make pet restrictions known when booking
