They've been there for me TWICE now for their towing services and able to get me back on the road with the repair of some studs and getting me some new rims for my ride. I'll definitely be back for some new kicks Thanks Pancho for good looking out!

Stranded vehicle, unable to move it in a lane on a highway in a dangerous position. This company was alerted by our insurance company and we had an ETA that constantly read between 50-65 minutes 2 hours after confirmation they were in the way. One, just one call to the company and the attitude started with your provider gave you an ETA don t bother me . Arrived with the ETA still showing 60 minutes out. Attitude continued with I m here as a privilege, I don t have to tow you . When I pointed out he was being paid and this was a service job, driver Mike told me I could ride in the back inside the towed vehicle. I told him I knew that is illegal in NM and it would be his ticket, but happy at that point to ride there, which I was, Illegally, allowed to do (speaking of illegal driver truck has 14-inch crack in windshield in line of vision). So, paying for a tow in an emergency situation is now a privilege with this company. Making *one* call to check ETA in an emergency is a burden which tees off the driver to the point he wants to fight with customers. Do I really need to add avoid ?

Super disappointed in what happened to us yesterday. My family (including our dogs and 9 year old daughter) got stuck in deep snow in the mountains. After calling our insurance company- we were told this company had soonest available to help. After 2 hours of waiting and trying to call him, I finally got ahold of him when he told us he will not do those rescues but he may know someone in Grants who could. We were stranded ALL day and kept calling and calling with no response to even tell us that guy wouldn t do it. On top of it all, we continued to get updates from our insurance company that he was on his way and that he even completed the job! Not a very stand up guy like all these people keep saying to leave a family with a 9 year old stranded in the mountains with not even a call back to tell us he definitely wouldn t be able to help us.

Had a flat tire just inside the new mexico border at the end of the day on Saturday where I would have been stranded for a couple of days before long. I called these awesome guys and spoke with Pancho and told him my situation. He was understanding and helpful, telling me he couldn't make any promises but he'd try to help. I know he was busy and didn't have to help but he sent Mike to help. Mike arrived quickly and was so cool and helpful, and we're on the way now. It looks like we're gonna make it but even if we don't, I can't thank these guys enough for the effort!!!! I want to share good things with you. place if you have a burst tire or something else, you can come here. The owner and guys here are very adequate. They helped me, everything was great. Thank them very much, they did everything. I recommend!!!

Edward...My hero!! My savior!! I can't thank him enough for saving me tonight!I hit a pothole on northbound 491 (that big nasty pothole near KFC) and it instantly murdered my front tire. It was just after 9pm.I put in a request through my AAA app, and Edward The Savior called me. He showed up soon thereafter and was super nice and professional. He moved my intact rear tire to the front and put the spare in the back to make it more driveable. He explained what to expect as I drove home. And if I have any future issues, he recommended that I call American Muffler & Towing directly (then get the call approved by AAA) in order to shorten any response time. Living alone out here as a woman can be tough, but in situations like this, it's so much easier with the help of wonderful professionals like Edward!! Thank you again for rescuing me!To any boss of Edward: TAKE GOOD CARE OF THIS MAN!!

These guys did an awesome job even though one person couldn't handle it on their own he got his friend who lived nearby and they work together to winch me out of a ravine he didn't say no I can't do it you said where there's a will there's a way and he made it happen. Poncho is the best.

I called Double J Towing. The guy told me he would be 20 minutes! I ended up waiting an hour and a half before I had to call American Muffler and Towing. Jonathan took charge and showed up in 5 min! Wow! Talk about speedy service! He was super polite! He got the job done safe and fast! Goodness it s nice to see there are still some young men working hard and efficiently! We were traveling on I-40 and got a flat tire on our RV from a bad valve stem. When getting our spare on we learned other valve stems looked bad too and could be a problem down the road. We had another 6 hours to go for our trip and needed a repair to be safe. We drove our RV a short distance to American Muffler and Towing and Pancho and his crew took care of us right away! We were able to safely get back on the road in less than two hours! They did a great job and we would definitely go here again! They made what was a stressful situation a pleasant experience.

This business was called by AAA because my car broke down about 30 miles east of Gallup on I-40. They called me when they were 14 miles away saying that they were on their way but stuck in traffic. An hour later, they still weren't here. When I tried calling them, it went straight to voice mail. I waited 2 hours for these people. AAA ended up calling another business to help me out.

Today was definitely a Monday for me. Got myself stuck in the mud trying to deliver some equipment today. Tried and tried again to get myself out with no luck. Edward came to give me some assistance, and he went above and beyond to help me get out. It was not an easy fix and he didn t hesitate to whatever was needed to help me get out so I could get back home (which is in Rio Rancho). Not only was the customer service amazing but the price was good! We were stuck on the side of the freeway with our uhaul and did everything so quick. Thank you to all the staff there who took care of us! They even stayed open after hours to help us get back on the road anyone else would of made us wait!

Once again this place came to the rescue again. The amount of times we've done business feels like we Almost feel like neighbors....Anywho todays visits go out to the tire crew and was also good to see the mechanic that fix our vehicles gave us that welcoming. Good job crew... happy holidays fam..

We were passing through on our way to California, had an exhaust issue. Called, very nice employee met me in the parking lot, greeted me and I provided the information about my issues. My mom and I were looking for tires after 5pm and we found this place. The customer service given is very courteous. My mom and I enjoyed the nicely cushioned chair outside, very comfortable. The workers are fast and helpful. They unloaded and loaded the tires for us. We definitely recommend services here for others looking for tire service after 5pm.

The team was amazing!! They saved us from being stuck overnight! En route from NY>Cali we got a flat right outside of Gallup. Thankfully they had the tire in stock and got us back on the road within the hour. Super nice people!!!

We got a flat tire in the middle of a road trip and were paired with American Muffler through AAA for a tow to Gallup. Preston arrived within 45 minutes and went above and beyond to get us to a repair shop and help us find a key for our tire locks. The friendly and helpful service was a breath of fresh air during a stressful situation and we are so grateful to Preston! My old heap needed a tow on 7/25/22 for failure to start. I had to wait a bit because they were busy. Chapo B. Was my tow driver. He was friendly, funny, professional, and efficient! I rode with him in the truck to the mechanic. Chapo turned my sad day into a funny adventure! I m really aware how good service can transform an event. Also, Chapo has great spacial skills, too! Called and couldn't get help. The man said they were busy right now. I asked about later and he said they had trucks lined up. I get it your busy but I am willing to wait in line and that still didn't work. Way to leave someone stranded!

Got a gouged tired late at night, waited until the morning and pulled into the parking area at 7:30. Nobody inside, didn't answer the phone. After waiting a little, saw the owner pull in with his truck, see us, and go inside...never came back out, never opened the shop, and never answered the phone. Had to go somewhere else.

My F-350 broke down 38 miles out of Gallup on a Friday night. These guys drove out and found me, towed my rig back to their shop and then fixed the broken idler pulley and fan belt the next morning. One of their guys pointed out a problem with my right front tire - a problem I hadn't seen. He swapped out the damaged tire for my spare, which allowed me to get the rest of the way home without problems.He also gave me some good advice on improvements to ask my own mechanic about. He didn't try to sell me anything; he was just being helpful.Towing is always expensive - but they told me up front what it was going to cost me, and they stuck with their quote. And for late on a Friday night, and all that they did to help me out, I felt I got outstanding service at a fair rate.

Genuine Awesomeness. IVAN IS THE GO TO GUY. I'm amazed there is still service likes this out there.Last minute while towing, truck needed a regeneration -_- Under a time crunch called this and another shop. These guys came out and went above and beyond! Saved us a ton of time. Amazing customer service and work ethic. Little costly but highly recommend giving these guys your business. Ivan made the process easy simple and was very knowledgeable.

Agreed. These guys are hands down the best, fastest and cost effective. I was on a road trip from California to Michigan during winter storm Kayla and the car spun out on the highway. They rehung my exhaust, changed a shock absorber on the back axle, changed the oil, and flushed the coolant system. It was so inexpensive I dont feel right in sharing the final price for everything. But I come from the motor city where GM parts are easy to come by and ill say my trusted mechanic would have charged me the same for just the shock installed and the cost of the part. Long live American Muffler! I think the gentleman who worked on the cars name was Rodrigo. Dude you rock! You know what it means to be a mrchanic. No bullshit just get it done right as fast as possible. I was there less than an hour! Great Great Great place.

Am very pleased with the service!! I was shopping for new tires. Went to every shop in town got Estimates and they were about the best. And was able to get it the next day. Will be back for a lot more for my truck.

***DO NOT LET THESE GUYS WORK ON ANYTHING YOU CARE ABOUT***If you are looking for dishonest service and horrible customer service this is the place for you. I'm not from Gallup, and only used these guys because it was recommended to me. They charged me $300 to replace a the pinion bearing seal on my 2007 Suburban for me to find out they actually did nothing more than put some heavy weight gear oil in the differential case. I ended up replacing the entire rear end the next week myself, and found all the differential bolts to be rusted tight, and the seal to be old. Only thing touched was the drain plug on the differential case.
