This is probably one of the worst places of service you could go to in town and Al himself is Nothing but disrespectful and unhelpful. For a grown man who runs a business to get away with talking to people the way he does is pathetic. And personally, I hope the jack falls while he s under one of his vehicles.

We had a problem with our VW T5. Other garages inclusive VW dealers did not want to look at it because it is an European diesel car. I called Al and I could come directly. He looked at it carefully and one of his mechanics (indeed tribal, not reticent, but very nice!!) helped me instantly. I advise this garage. Al may be a little bit rough but he surely is a straight forward veteran and he represents the best of the USA!From now on my campervan is touring through Europe with an Al's service sticker (the only sticker!) on the bumper. Thanks Al!

Took my vehicle in for a diagnostic and the shop.didnt waste anytime. Before I was even out of town, they called me and gave me a diagnosis with the issues on my vehicle and gave me a quote and an estimated time of repairs. My vehicle was ready in a couple days, even with a transmission repair. The Shop personnel was very professional and kept me up to date on the progress, up to when the repairs were completed. Extremely Happy with their work. Highly Recommend this automotive shop for repairs.

Edit after they re snarky response: Even after arguing with me for 20 minutes they re still trying to argue. See attached picture of their estimate and think for yourself if a rear end collision could cause damage to a rear shock stressing out the air ride suspension. You don t have to be a mechanic to make this determination. Just think and read all the comments before you take your car here.I can t tell you enough NOT TO GO HERE!! I m not the type to write a bad review, but for the good of my community I had to. I was told that Mercedes doesn t do full point inspections despite having paperwork proving my vehicle was inspected 8 days prior to bringing it in after being hit by someone. If Al s looks at your car they ll say things in the report like awhile without being able to explain what timeline awhile fits into. While having the audacity to say Mercedes doesn t do full inspections. I ve never received anything from Mercedes stating awhile . The office (insert expletive here. I don t know what else to call her) just wants to argue, more than helping customers out. She argued with me for over 20 minutes, talked over me, didn t listen, and was very unprofessional. If they spent as much time actually looking at your vehicle as they did arguing it would be a halfway decent shop. Save yourself some time and find a reputable shop to take your vehicle. I ll be taking mine to Albuquerque and have my car done right.

Been using Al's over the years, for several vehicles; Audi, Jeep, and Toyota. Their prices are very fair and very good to work with. Friendly, Direct and to the point.Overall a Great team providing great and honest work. Services: Transmission repair, Brakes, Air conditioning, Oil change

Go to any other car shop in town got my car worse than when it went in . They didn t fix my car at all and al charged double the price of what it would cost you to do it yourself. Poor customer service and seems to be a money hungry grumpy old man. Any other car shop in town would give you better customer service and is more reliable than this shop. Don t know how he still is in business literally have photos of before and after my car went in and how it came out worse. I basically paid the man to ruin my car.

Al knows his stuff... I've been doing business with them for years. And I am always happy with the work done.Shawnicee is always prompt at minor request and handles it in a professional manner. We can't let businesses like this go away.. from my experience, they are not one to rob you of your money! They have earned my trust and continued business!

We were referred by Airport Auto to Als Service, because they said that this business works on Audi s. We told him Al what the Airport Auto mechanic and Manager told us and gave Al the paper that they gave to us. He said he needed codes and there were none. We took it to Auto Zone and got the car checked and the codes printed out and gave them back to Al. Only one thing was to be replaced and he ordered the part and tried to replace it and then our car wouldn t start. He took out the new part and replaced back with the old part and it started up but worse than before. Long story this place has terrible business practices and no integrity. When I asked for a copy of the parts invoice he refused and said, why?! That s mine!! I said I only wanted a copy. He charged me double for what he first said the part would cost. Now my car doesn t start, it doesn t run at all!

We had an on the rad emergency while driving near Farmington, NM. I went to Al's Repair because of a few positive Google reviews. I was pleased that they could work my vehicle in right away to start diagnosing the problem. I am the daughter of a mechanic so I was also pleased to see a woman in training working at this shop. Al taught and worked on my vehicle while I got some work done on my laptop in the shop. Very happy with the service and flexibility. They were pretty high on labor costs, but did not try to sell me anything I didn't need.

Al has a great crew working for him. We had an unexpected problem on our road trip. Al got our truck in first thing in the morning with one of his best guys on the job. I m sure all the rust on our New Hampshire truck was a challenge to work with. If we lived in the area this would be the olnly shop I would use.

Uncle Bob's couldn't work on my alternator, so he sent me here. I had limped into Farmington with my alternator light on. A few hours later he had me all fixed up with a new alternator from O'Reilly's. His mechanic inspected the belt and checked that the pulleys were moving freely. So, by midday I was on my way. The price was probably comparable to a dealer repair. So I'm grateful, it could have been so much worse all around.

Took my car to them twice and had Awesome service both times I went. Got to hand it to them guys they work pretty darn great!! So I would recommend them to anybody thats needing work done to their car/truckThanks Al and everybody else for doing what you do best. Keep it up!!

I dropped my car off on Friday. I called Monday and Tuesday and he had diagnosed and found out what was wrong with my vehicle. But was unwilling to give me a quote he told me parts were $110. Finally he told me it was going to cost $288 to unlock my hood and replace battery. Had he told me in advance this was going to be the charge I would have said no. He still did not give me a quote or estimate. Finally I called and said I need an estimate and he said $600-800 to replace $250 worth of parts at maybe 1hr-2 hours of labor. So the discrepancy here is $150 plus no estimate at the amount of time or labor. I asked what his labor rate was after he had opened the hood and replaced the battery is $128. Four States and others shops are $70. This rate is not posted be aware! I do not trust this mechanic. He will dodge your questions for estimates. I never would have had an estimate or a phone call if I did not pressure him for one. If I were you I would take your car to Four States or any other shop in town. They will provide you with a written estimate, shuttle to work, and return phone calls. If you want to pay twice the rate for subpar dishonest service take your vehicle here. Also he said he had the parts on order from Mercedes. I said if I see an invoice from Mercedes I will pay you what you have in them. He said he would call me in one to two days when they were in. I ll give you 3 guesses as to whether or not I received a phone call. The answer is no. I ordered the parts online at %80 of the dealer cost. This man will look you in the eye and lie to your face. I have no idea how he is in business.

Didn't really want to hassle with coming out and giving a jump start. Seemed like an ok guy with plenty of work to do, just does realize he could have made more in 15 minutes then he could in an hour of shop time. Best of luck Al.Jeff L-8 Google Guide.

We've been taking our Audi and Jetta to Al's for the last couple of year every time something breaks down and they've never failed to either fix the problem or recommend an alternative solution at no charge. Honest and reasonable. Al is a true mechanical genius.

Al is a great mechanic. He always shoots it strait and has the experience to fix any engine problem. He has a great crew of employees. This is my favorite shop in Farmington.

Had a transmission replaced by Al in November 2019. July2020 the transmission went out. He said it s not under any warranty and he had charged 5,000 for a used transmission. I had it towed to his yard on 20th he left it out front with the keys in it!

I do recommend Al's as he found out was wrong with my car after I taken it somewhere else several times and they never got it fixed and just once Al's got it fixed
