Stayed in one of the Deluxe Cabins and I m not one to complain but the floor was disgusting. I finally took a hand rag and mopped the floor with it. I notified management and was told they were aware of some issues they were having and that was the last I heard from them. The bed was not comfortable at all, the pillows are worn out. We stayed there several years ago and it was a great stay but after this one, probably will not be back. Love the location. The picture I m posting is a one wipe swipe on the floor.

Stayed here last minute because an airbnb fell through. Suite was perfect, dog friendly and well maintained. Front desk staff was awsome and accommodating.Food & drinks: There is a bar restaurant next door and the food is great.

The restaurant was not good. There was only one waitress in the whole place and eventually, she had to go ask the bartender at the saloon next door to help. Needless to say, even though it was almost empty, dinner took 2 hours. We felt bad for her because either she had been crying or she was really sick because she kept sniffling, including while handling the food. They only had 1 serving of the Vegetable of the Day: asparagus, so only one of us actually got any that we ordered. We all had to take vegetable hash, which the waitress couldn't explain what was in it. We discovered there were beets, but none of us could tell what the rest was. Salads came after the entrees. The bread came an hour into waiting and it was only 4 of the 6 rolls we ordered. They were cold. The butter tasted weirdly of onion?I was charged for sour cream, which the menu states comes with the regular baked potato....One person at our table felt very ill quickly after eating. She had the Bleu cheese dressing , which was the only thing the rest of us did not have, so we guessed it was that which made her nauseous. It was indeed a memorable experience, but not to anyone's delight.

Really cute spot, but there were rat droppings all over the kitchen, dirty dishes, and dirt/hair throughout. My sheets were crunchy. Not worth the price for that level of quality.Rooms: Dirty with rat droppings. Disappointing.

What I loved - the room layout. Huge rooms and I got a suite with a separate room with a bed. Loved the quilts on the bedWhat needed some love - it was old, carpets were stained.

I stayed in the Sportman Cabin. The cabin was clean & cozy. The kitchen had what I needed to cook basic meals. The restroom was on the smaller side, but the shower worked amazingly. The Saloon was a nice addition to our stay with a nice fireplace to enjoy drinks by the fire. The lady working at the front desk is always kind and helpful. The location is great! It's a short drive to Angel Fire & you can walk down to the local shops & restaurants in Eagle Nest.

This place is perfectly situated between red river and angel fire and is run by INCREDIBLE people. They accommodate you in every way, know where to go and more importantly where not to go and have connections for whatever you want to do. I left my laptop cord accidentally and the sent it to me overnight without hesitation. The 2 room suites are great for large families and the price is awesome! A few minutes to angelfire and red river. Yes it's clean and no bed bugs.

Outdated, smelly and gross. We stayed upstairs in the lodge and the rooms were disgusting. They had used washcloths in the bathroom- obviously not cleaned from previous guests. There were pubic hairs in my sheets - obviously the sheets hadn t been changed from the previous guests. I left a voicemail upon checkout and I was never contacted by management. Please don t be fooled by other good reviews, like I was.

Simple, no frills cabin suites that are comfortable and convenient. Easy check in and check out. Walking distance from food and a tavern, there s not Mitch in Eagle Nest itself, but it s within 30 minutes of a lot of other things and comparatively inexpensive. The saloon is cozy and family friendly. Jamie was one of the most engaging, warm, and thoughtful servers we ve had maybe ever. When you re there, you re family.

This is one of the worse places I have ever stayed. First off they couldnt find my room key upon check in, so someone had it. Not very secure. Next...window with no screen left wide open. Bugs everywhere. No toilet paper in bathroom. Horribly stained towels. Dirty dishes left in cabinet. Still had food on them. Roaches and mice!!! And TV wouldnt work....ever!!! The bedding was horrid. No top sheet!!!! We slept in our clothes. This place is so disgusting. Needs to be shut down. Only stayed one night because we had driven 12 hours and were exhausted and it was late.

Just rating the Saloon. The bartender took our order and and typed it into to the computer which then malfunctioned. New customers came in and basically yelled at them. He couldn't take orders without the computer. REALLY!? What about paper tickets and then when technology is fixed enter it.The buger I order was good and hot but I couldn't identify the corn dish they served as a side.My friend ordered tacos and they were basically inedible. The meat looked over cooked and had sat in the pan overnight. The rice was dry to the point it was the texture of raw rice. The chips and caso...yuck! And the cost 6.50. Could have gone to the grocery and bought a whole bag of chips and caso and spent 1/2 the price.

Made a quick stop here to meet up with some family, who are catering to the fireman, and stayed at this place. Its very cute. It's a little dated, but I think thats the way it's supposed to feel. Even with it being older, I was very impressed with how clean it is. Absolutely spotless! The rooms were very spacious too! They had a king bed with a futon. The futon mattress was thick and comfy. Definitely recommend for families, this would not be considered ideal for partying. Also, the employees were very friendly (the cleaning ladies). Definitely recommend!!

I absolutely love this place! This is where we stay every time we are in Eagle Nest/Red River. We stayed in the king cabin, very clean and roomy. Staff is very nice, and it's owned by a US veteran. Cabin has a little cozy porch area where we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and various other birds. Central location for Red River, Cimarron Canyon, and Angel Fire.Nearby activities: Fishing, shopping, and playground.Walkability: Can walk to local restaurants.

Stay was ok, not what we expected by online photos but we slept ok. The hotel was rather dated but our room accommodated five of us easily. Limited food options nearby. My toddler loved the simple touches especially the rubber ducky strategically placed on the bath mat.

We rented the sportsman cabin. It was cute, but it is connected to other cabins so if your looking for a stand alone this probably isn't it. The bed wasn't horrible, but it was pretty hard. There also was no door to the room, which was a little weird. There was no cable in the bedroom only in living room. They did have movies for check out in the front office so that helped out. They also had wonderful showerhead (think i want to go buy one) but on the Monday we left the water temperature was all over the place. Also wanted to add the view from the cabin is awesome.. also appreciated all patio furniture and the grill being available.

We had a very nice stay. We stayed in the lodge and the room was large and comfortable. The property is extremely cute and you can tell that the owner takes a lot of pride in maintaining it. Yes, it is old, but that adds to the charm. Also charming: the rubber duckie that was in the shower. So cute! We also visited the saloon. The bartender was friendly and the beer was cold. The saloon has a nice area with books and couches if you want to read. They also had pool and shuffleboard. It wasn't busy at all when we were there, which is a shame because it's a cool little bar. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

Clean spacious cabins. The staff, every one from the receptionists, grounds keepers, to the restaurant personnel were incredibly friendly. Couldn't figure out the heater. Thermostat didn't seem to work but the cabin retained the heat from the warm sun so as it turned out, it wasn't a problem. Visited in mid April, nothing else open in town other than a Shell gas/convenience store. Not being from NM I was surprised that a gas station sold wine & liquor but they saved the day. I can only imagine how much fun this place is in summer but a ghost town in April.

Amazing accommodations! It's like staying in a 5 star hotel in the middle of the Southwest wilderness. My husband and I really enjoyed the King Cabin. It felt spacious, HUGE. The kitchenette is in a different room, and that shower, ahhhh-mazing. I can't wait to try out their Spa they're building on the grounds

This was a great place to stay during our Red River ski trip! Our rooms were nice and had all we needed to cook meals, etc... Make sure to bring food with you because there are not really any restaurants around though. The owner was wonderful about keeping the snow shoveled every morning which made the parking lot easier to get around.

What I liked about the hotel was It's warm professional hospitality I received once I entered the place. I like the fact the owner is a veteran and displays it proudly. And how he was welling to take care of a fellow veteran. The room was very clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay. I would recommend this hotel to all that travels through Eagle Nest, New Mexico. I have made friends for life.

It was a cute little lodge. The room had 3 beds, one of which had its own room. It is an older place but it adds to the character. It had a nice enclosed sitting area outside of the room wich was really nice. Staff is friendly and it's near a bunch of gift shops and a convenience store. 20 miles from red river and decently priced. I would definitely visit again.

Doesn't look like much from the road but the place is fantastic. Our room was large and well decorated. Super comfortable rooms with all the amenities of a hotel. The staff was super friendly and was knowledgeable about every restaurant in Eagle's Nest. We are already planning a second trip to Eagle's Nest and will probably stay here.

The room was nice; 2 bed, kitchen, living room. Clean and convenient to the restaurant and a park across the street, but the staff was unfriendly. I asked someone where #xxx was while my arms were full of items from the car. She clearly worked there, I asked politely where room ## was and she told me she didn't know! My 2nd experience was with the same woman when she delivered a blanket to my room, she was rude to my husband on the phone and to me at the door. (Seems maybe she did know where my room was after all.) My husband said she acted like she was inconvenienced by him asking some questions later, then was totally rude at checkout. If you don't want to run your business, then get out of the business. Customer service is imperative to your success. Do better.
