Our stay was horrible, our cabin had a wasp problem. We mentioned it to the front office. They said all cabins have the same problem. Zero concern for customers safety. Not only that, they up sold us on one of their expensive cabins. According to them the other ones were sold out. In our three night stay the other cabins seemed really empty. And they have a no cancellation policy, just by reserving the place consider your money lost if you don t like your stay. We booked a fishing tour during our stay. We didn t catch one single fish. I get they can t control that, but charging people 377$ for it is insane. Over 600$ on a three night stay plus the failed fishing tour. We spent over 1k for a bad experience. Oh, and god forbid you don t take out the trash, they will charge you a cleaning fee. On top of all that you will pay.

Outstanding place to stay. Beautiful views from cabin. The ow ers and staff are very nice and attentive. The cabins are very clean and the beds are comfortable. You will not be disappointed. Eagle Nest is a wonderful place to rest and relax. The lake has excellent t fishing. I stayed her for almost a month while working in town. The place is awesome!

Everyone that works here is extremely helpful. They have diesel additive available in case your fuel gels up!Rented an Auger and it was very reasonably priced. Very knowledgeable as well. We had a great time in the lake! Swedish pimple for the win!

This place is just perfect if you want a peaceful weekend getaway. No screaming kids. No barking dogs. No drunk parties next door. We booked a cabin for the weekend and rented a pontoon for half a day. The owners and staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable of the area if you are new to northern New Mexico. The cabin (my favorite so far) was super clean and well stocked with all the necessities. The beds are so unbelievably comfortable. I could have easily slept in til noon. All you need to bring is food, fishing tackle, and a grille if you don t want to cook in the kitchen. The town is a short drive down the road with other things to do if you don t fish. There are several wineries and breweries close by too! We didn t have time to visit those unfortunately but, we will be back!

Amazing owners they are the on site host as well. Loved the layout of the clean renovated cabins an RV spots. They have a gift shop as well as sell all types of fishing tackle, fishing license an rent fishing boats, pontoon boats an just about anything else you might need. Adorable place. Great rates.

Four of us shared a two bedroom cabin that was clean equipped. The hosts were helpful professional responsive kind and accommodating. Boat rental was super easy. Saw wildlife eagles freshwater pelicans. All in all an overall excellent experience and we will be back Cabin 7 worked well. However send an upgrade to beds would be excellent double beds are small for two people..

A true hidden gem. Cabin was a perfect base for getting to everything we wanted to do on our stay. Can't wait to come backUpdate our second year here and so happy to be here. On our second year here it is very noticable how hard the staff and owners work and they all seem happy to be here. Wish I loved my job as much as them!! Grade A+++

We rented a few cabins from here. The staff was incredibly rude and unaccommodating. Upon check in we were warned not to ruin her towels, Seriously they weren't a high quality or anything like that. There are no doors on the bedroom's!? Our heater was out and the shower didn't work. When we mentioned our problems they looked at us like we were crazy and said they were functioning properly. I wouldn't recommend the cabins but the lake was nice.

I stayed in a medium sized cabin on Sept 2021and it was great! The cabin was clean and cozy; very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here. I will be staying there again when I return to Eagles Nest Lake next year to do some more fishing.

We loved our cozy little cabin! Views were amazing and owners were even better. So kind and welcoming. We arrived late (after dark) so waking up to see everything for the first time was breathtaking! It got down to -25 and we never knew it! Stayed nice and warm inside and had everything we needed for our stay. Thanks again for accommodating our pit stop.

Will never give this business our money again and will be sure to let everyone know about the terrible service we had. We have been customers here for over ten years and rent pontoons at least twice a year from them. We rented a large pontoon over a month in advance so that we could take my husband and our kids on the lake for a fishing trip for Father s Day. Three weeks before our trip, I received an email that stated we have canceled the reservation as requested which I didn t do. I called and they said due to the fire there are no boats allowed on the lake. So today 6/18/2022 we are fishing from the shore with our toddler when we see the rental boats out on the lake! I call and sure enough boats were allowed on the lake over a week ago, when I told the man over the phone what happened he said that s just how business works . Very disappointed in how this place does business now, when they canceled the reservation they said they would call us if the lake opened back up for boating so we could keep our reservation and they didn t keep their word. They have lost another customer and we will be sure to tell everyone else we know to take their business elsewhere. We always support small local businesses but not one where they don t take care of their customers.

I absolutely loved this place. We stayed in Cabin 11 during Spring Break. Kids loved the space and cabin as well. Location was great. Literally was the center of places we sightsee too. Angel Fire was about 7 mins away AND BEST PART MUCH CHEAPER!! Already booked for Christmas vacation and price was awesome being peak season we are excite for and can't wait!! Dog friendly too at a reasonable price!!

We always stay here and absolutely love it! Cabin always clean and always has fresh towels and bed linen. John and Renita are the nicest people we know. We highly recommend staying here.

Let me start by saying Eagle Nest is a beautiful little town nestled in a valley on lake! Our stay at Eagle Nest Marina and cabins was amazing! The owners and staff are awesome! Both Renita and Doc gave us great fishing advice! It paid off too! I caught two giant trout! The cabin was perfect! We cooked almost everyday during our stay! We were there for 6 nights! Awesome prices on the cabins too! Again we throughly enjoyed our stay! The owners are some of the most friendly people around!

We rented a pantoon. Everyone at the marina was super with great customer service. We all had a blast. Will definitely be back next summer. The guy who unloaded us and loaded was very helpful.

Absolutely horrible service made a reservation weeks in advance only to make a 3 and a half hour drive to get told I can not rent due to age. I verified my age over the phone while making reservation and instead of being forgiving the employee threaten to call the cops for not leaving the property after they messed up and wasted my time and gas. Would not recommend to anybody. Eagles nest lake is still the best do not do business here

We love coming to Eagle Nest Cabins and Marina. The cabins are wonderfully quaint, always clean. You just need your suitcase. John and Renita are the BEST hosts. We always catch big fat rainbow trout. The lake is beautiful, clean, big fat fish always waiting for me.

Love the staff here! They are so friendly and to the point. We rent a pontoon every year and enjoy our time on the lake! They have the bait needed and other boat rentals as well as guided fishing I believe! The mountains are calling!!

I absolutely love these cabins. They are quaint and fully equipped with all you need to cook. The new owners are awesome and super friendly. They have done much work on several cabins and it is great. Highly recommend

Great little cabins. Clean and affordable prices. Beware if your going fishing at the lake... there's a game warden (older fella) that's on some kind of power trip... very very rude to folks. The other game wardens are very nice though. Just steer clear of the old guy.

Don t be fooled into paying for a guided fishing trip here. The owner of the marina said that fishing was good for trout, salmon, pike and perch. After paying $350, and once on the water, the guide started saying how the lake had turned over and they weren t catching any trout. Also said no salmon since May. (He bragged about how they snag the salmon with a big weight and treble hook when they re spawning)We had 2 young boys with us, and after trolling for over an hour with no bites, the guide said we could catch perch if we switched to worms. I gave in, hoping the boys would catch SOMETHING, although I told him I didnt want to pay $350 to catch perch. We set up for perch and after another hour we finally caught 1- 6 perch. With no fish, the boys were getting restless so I asked him to take us to the dock. He apologized and said he wouldn t have told us the fishing was good this time of year. He said he hadn t caught much of anything lately except for perch and an occasional pike.When we returned to the marina after 2 hours of a 5 hour trip the owner would not refund any money, rather offered to email a $100 coupon to the marina which expired in 1 year. She said Rudy, the guide, was one of her best guides. I should have known better when he pulled out zebco 33 s that wouldn t even cast right. I had to point out later that he was dragging his anchor across the lake behind the boat.I m a 63 yr old fisherman whos been fishing since I was 3 yrs old. I know the fish don t always cooperate. This was not like that. The marina blatantly lied about the fishing. If they would have said the lake has turned over and the fishing was slow for anything but perch, I would not have booked the trip. If this review saves one person from wasting their hard earned money, it will have been worth it!

Rented a cabin and pontoon for my sons 7th birthday. The owners Renita and John made us feel right at home and did everything to make sure my son had a fantastic birthday weekend. Would definently come here again.

Fantastic owners. Friendly and courteous. I stayed in a smaller cabin. Very clean and cozy. Highly recommend!!! Heater in the cabin worked great and the ice fishing was awesome.

Rented a pontoon from the marina to go fishing on Eagle Nest Lake. Boat was in great shape and staff was very helpful with loading and unloading! Really enjoyed our time on the lake - would highly recommend!

We stopped in just to get a net, friendly service as well as helpful, giving pointers on fishing spots. Needless to say, we walked out with two very affordable rain jackets and fishing gear. We will be back! Thank you.
