Just got my truck back from Blacklocks. I can definitely say that they go above and beyond to take care of your vehicle. They walked me through the whole process as I was trying to get my old truck back to life after sitting in front of my house for over a year. The truck runs great now as I am getting ready to make my move across the country. Definitely the best auto shop in town! Take care of their troops really good too!

Similar story to some of the other reviews, and I was was thrilled with the service I received at Blacklock's!I was recently in Clovis, just for a stop on a road trip further out West. As I pulled into town on New Years Eve, I started getting oil warning lights in my vehicle that I had just had service done (including an oil change) a few days prior.I was traveling with my dog and young daughter, and we were due to leave early in the morning on January 1st. When I woke up that morning, I started calling around to see if any auto repair shops might happen to be open on New Years day at 8 am. As you might expect, they were not.When I happened to call Blacklock, I was thrilled when someone answered the phone. Not only where they open, but Joel was super friendly and told me to come on by after I explained the situation.We headed over there and Joel immediately got to work. They ran a diagnostic on the car and found that a bunch of warnings were popping up - all things that I thought had been addressed with my service the prior week back in Austin. He noted that the fee for the diagnostic was going to be $150 before doing it, and I told him to go through with it as I didn't really have much of a choice.Another guy came (owner, perhaps?) and they finished up the diagnostic. The theory was that the place that I had worked with in Texas didn't reset the warnings, but that all was well. Checked the oil to confirm and reset the warnings. I was relieved and grateful for the fact that they were open and welcomed me in on New Years Day, but they weren't done yet. When it came time to head out - they told me not to worry about the diagnostic charge... on the house. I was blown away! Gave a healthy tip as a show of gratitude and then we headed back on our way to Santa Fe.I'm not one to go and write reviews for places, but this one absolutely deserved the 5 star shout out. If they treat others anything like how they treated us - a no brainer recommendation from me.Thanks, gents!

Extraordinary auto care. I was between a rock and a hard place and they rescued me with the finest, most caring (and efficient) service I ve ever had. Joel is incredible - an expert and a great man. I cannot possibly recommend higher.

This review is long overdue. Long story short, I needed some work done as I was driving my family from Texas to Washington, and I found myself in a small town with a highly rated auto shop. So I dropped off my truck, and they squared the issues away and also gave me some insight on what other work I needed down the line. Mr. Blacklock has great character and knowledge in his craft. He also knows how to have a good conversation. Thank you for helping me out and getting back on the road within a days work, Mr. Blacklock and team!

While traveling cross country we encountered an unmarked hole in the road and we weren t sure how badly damaged the underside of our minivan was. We brought it to Blacklock s the following morning to assess the damage. Despite being booked out two weeks, they jacked up our car within 10 minutes to assess. Thankfully it was a simple matter of reattaching our beat up splash guard. Joel, the mechanic who performed the repair, was extremely kind and pleasant. I couldn t be more pleased with their service and am grateful for their willingness to help. It s no surprise they are so busy!

Our AC stoppped working while we were on a cross country road trip. Blacklock was able to take us the same day that we called. They were very friendly and made us feel comfortable going to a mechanic far from home. They drove us back and forth between the shop and where ever we were/needed to be. Overall they had us back on the road quickly, we re trustworthy and would recommend if you need a mechanic.Service: Air conditioning

Friendly staff but disappointing service.My cars window was left open and dirt covered parts of the interior.I described the car s symptoms very thoroughly yet it was still misdiagnosed. Blacklock recommend a full turbo replacement totaling over $3000.I took the car to a dealership and they found the AC compressor to be failing - a part attached to the pulley system as I suggested. A compressor replacement resolved all issues.This should have been an easily identifiable item.

While driving around the Clovis area, my Xterra developed some issues. I took it to Blacklock the following morning. Joel finished servicing the vehicle he was already on and got right to mine since I was passing through. He installed a new set of coils and spark plugs, getting me back on the road. He and his coworker answered each phone call coming into the shop while also tending to repairs. They even offered to take me back to my hotel but the wait was short enough to bear in the waiting room/office area. Thanks to Joel for getting my Xterra fixed and for the easy conversation while he performed the repairs. I've driven over a thousand miles since the visit back in May and haven't had any issues.

Blacklock's Auto gave us great service from the beginning! I went in for an oil change and to have them check the entire car for any additional repairs we may need. When we received the car back, the owner seemed very knowledgeable as he explained our issues in detail, he gave us an estimate for the repairs at a reasonable price, and he gave me the oil change free! When we took the car back for the repairs, the work they did was amazing, including cleaning the entire engine and greasing the battery at no charge. They even drove me to and from work in their personal vehicle while they competed the repairs and gave me a discount off the final price! All around, we've had a great experience at Blacklock's. We haven't had car issues since initially taking our vehicle there in February, and we'll be taking our car back for future repairs as needed. Thanks Blacklock's for excellent service!

Very kind mechanics here! Felt very comfortable taking my vehicle here for a diagnosis and repair! They work really hard but definitely appreciate their customers. Fixed an oil leak issue in my vehicle. If you have a question, head into the office with the red door.

Ronnie and his team are the best in town. They really helped me out in a pinch when I needed general maintenance (I was quoted at the dealership for $12K) and collision repair before a long distance PCS. Blacklock s, specifically Joel and Ronnie, really took care of us. We re PCSing. My wife is leaving in two days and of course her vehicle decides to stop working. I called Blacklock s immediately and gave them the situation. They bumped us up to the front of the line and fixed it same day for a great price! Luckily for us, they had the part on hand. They even topped off all of our fluids before the road trip! Pick Blacklock s, don t go to the dealers. Their customer service in unrivaled in Clovis!

If you need your car repaired in Clovis, Blacklock is the place to go. The owner, Ronnie, kept me up to date every step of the way. I had quite an intensive list of repairs that needed to be worked on. I was sure that I'd have to sell part of my kidney to pay the bill. Ronnie came back with the price and it blew me away. The work was top notch and the service was fantastic. Very military friendly and the shop has been open for a long time and the quality of work shows why. I HIGHLY recommend them. I was on a road trip with my two kids when the dang fender fell off my car just outside of town. Blacklock saw me right away. They put my car back together and, when they heard that I was so far from home, they took the time to top off fluids and put air in my tires. Their repair held and I made the the rest of my trip with no further issues. I needed to evacuate my Freon in order to proceed for an engine build I m working on, and Blacklock s was the only shop in the area that was able to help me out. They got me in immediately, and were extremely welcoming. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Further, they didn t even charge me, on top of offering to recharge it for free once I have the engine put back together. Overall great & military friendly shop with tons of experience among their employees. I will definitely be coming back for any other services I may need in the future!!Service: Air conditioning

Short Review- Very good and honest business that offers timely and effective repairs at a fair price.I took my '98 Crown Vic in because the axle bearings and seals went out. Initially I called and spoke with Ronnie, the owner of the shop. I told him about my issue and he was already familiar with what was going on. I took it in the same day and they immediately went to work on it. My car was ready within 2 days. They also found an oil leak that I was not aware of and offered to clean and degrease the undercarriage and locate the leak for free. Being military and needing my car to drive to work every day, it was very convenient to have my car fixed and back on the road in a couple days.I talked to Ronnie for a bit while I was in the shop and I could tell he takes pride in running an honest business and maintaining his shops integrity. He told me he specially selects all his mechanics and ensures they have adequate training and even trains them himself on the job. I will definitely be returning to this shop for larger repairs I can't do myself.The only downside I gathered was that they add an additional charge when using a credit or debit card. But that's to be expected from a small independently owned shop.Overall I would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone for general maintenance. I've had my experiences with bad shops and mechanics and I can tell this place is definitely a reliable business.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Ronnie and his team of mechanics are excellent. My vehicles engine was overheating and his team was able to quickly diagnose and repair the problem in a timely manner. The Blacklock team are thorough in the diagnosis process. The team was able to show me the locations of the maintenance concerns as well as how to fix them. the Blacklock team was polite, friendly, and professional. The whole time I was there I felt that I was in good hands. I will be taking my vehicle back for all future maintenance.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I'm a senior lady. Not much knowledge about vehicles and do not have a lot of energy to mess with problems or have much income. Called about my problem and the worker said he could look to see what was causing it. Need new radiator. Gave me a great quote and topped off with antifreeze. I previously called a business that was going to charge me $135.00 to look....here, the mechanic didn't ask for a dime. Was very friendly and even though the lot was parked with many vehicles, took time for me.

I've taken my suburban here a couple of times now for several issues. The most recent was an oil leak and tune up. They've always gotten my vehicle in quickly, as in the same day! They even had my brake job done the same day, which allowed us to still take our trip out of town the next day. Blacklock's has taken care of us like we're family, and they have the best prices around. They are also very supportive of the military (with discounts), which is great for families like us that are stationed here. We're so happy to find a reliable and dependable auto service here!

Great customer service! Very happy with the work that they have done. My brakes completely blew out and Mr. Blacklock worked great with us on getting my car in and taken care of in a timely manner. Highly recommend! I have used Blacklocks twice this month on my two vehicles. My first vehicle I brought in was for a brake pad/rotors replacement which was completed same day. I was completely satisfied with their work so when my second car refused to start, I knew just who to call. They diagnosed/fixed the issue and sent me on my way by close of business. Their timeliness and professionalism is unmatched!

Just wanted to say how much I appreciate Blacklock s getting to my vehicle as quickly as they did. I took it in on Tuesday to get an estimate on a new radiator in my 2003 GMC Yukon. They gave me the estimate and happened to have the correct radiator available so I left it with them. They gave me a ride home and on Wednesday it was ready to go by noon. Great service!! I'm not surprised by the number of five-star ratings this shop gets. I'm happy to add mine to the list. Massive fail last week on my 2002 Subaru Forester transmission cooling hose outside of Sudan, TX. The option to tow it to Clovis was the right choice. Blacklock's was the top rated shop on my Google search - we went there, of course. We had great service at a very fair price. Ronnie was kind enough to prioritize our job since we were from out of town, on vacation, and holed-up in a local motel. I really appreciate his help and the top quality work of his staff. Ronnie and his team were absolutely amazing! My suburban needed numerous repairs. He was very honest and when he quoted me he kept his quote price. The seals that needed replaced he searched and searched. He found it and although they cost more he kept the quote price. I gave this business a try after my wife had positive experiences with them. They did an excellent job on my Subaru WRX. I went in for a power steering leak and they diagnosed and swapped out the bad part quickly. They even went above and beyond and performed other general maintenance tasks like changing my air filter and doing a full synthetic oil change among others. They even got my A/C recharged and blowing cold again which I especially appreciate since it's the beginning of August. My car broke down in Clovis on my way to CA. Brought it to Ronnie and Rebecca and they were amazing. Helped me figure out quickly that my engine was dead and would have to be replaced, then did everything they could to help us figure out how to continue our trip. They are incredibly kind and very professional. In the end, they didn't even end up charging me for anything, even though we cost a large amount of their time and attention. They said they "just wanted to help us out how they could." I'm incredibly thankful to have met them in a time of need and would highly recommend them to anyone.
