Receptionist told us we wouldn t be billed for a service, a week later I received a $220 bill. It s not okay to basically lie to people when it comes to payment. Especially working at a doctors office. The doctor was incredible but again we went home thinking we wouldn t have to worry about a bill considering we don t have insurance. So it was really upsetting getting a bill that s half my rent.

Laurie and the ladies in the front office were very kind and helpful. Dr Suggs and Holguin made me feel comfortable and made sure I understood my care plan. Highly recommend this office!

If I could rate Dr. Mankad & the people that work at the Cedar Crest location, they would all get 5 Stars. BUT YOU CAN NOT CALL THEM! All calls to any Duke City's 7 locations go to the Duke City Primary Care Call Center. "Thank you for calling. Your call is important to us and will be answered in the order received. You are number 52". I have been as high as #73. Occasionally you get the option to press 1# and receive a call back and not loose your place in hold, but ONLY occasionally. If you do get the 1# option it takes hours for them to call back. Then you have to tell the person all about what you need so they can take notes and then pass the info on to your local office.It is SO stupid and inefficient! PLUS it allows for mistakes and omissions in the information that is relayed to the local office. Just let me talk to my local office and tell them!!!! Today when they finally called back the first thing I heard was music on hold, then the call disconnected! I waited for a call back but do you think I ever got one? NO! I had to call back and then I was #43 and I never got the 1# option. Now I'm gonna need anger management counseling in addition to what I called for.I only tried Duke City because I am in the East Mountains and the Cedar Crest office was convenient. NO MORE! I'm going back to my old primary care doctor and making the drive into Albuquerque. I already called them today for an appointment and guess what? I was never put on hold and I talked to a real person in that office within 60 seconds and made an appointment.Stupidest damn system I have ever had the displeasure to deal with.1/17/2023 update: My original post had a rating of 1 Star. Evidently my previous experience was due to Duke City doing some sort of big reorganization and the setup of a new phone switching system. There must have been a better way to do it, but that's in the past.I tried them again recently and found none of the previous hassle and long telephone delays. There are still too many automated phone prompts, but where don't you encounter that these days? Since I can now actually contact my local office relatively quickly, I will be going back to them.

Worst receptionist I've ever encountered. I walked in and was never spoken to. I could hear the receptionist answering her phone and making calls to make plans for her and friends to ride together to Santa Fe and calling her dad but never called me up. I finally asked are you going to check us in or just sit there making your plans. She snapped and said your already checked in. What how we never spoke. She then proceeded to hand my daughter's file to the nurse and says she is a rude one good luck. I'm assuming she figured out who we were because I wrote my daughter's name on the sign in sheet Well the nurse was amazing and so patient and kind to my daughter so of course I was kind to her as well. The nurse logged into the system and says oh you guys aren't checked in, let me do that. No surprise!! The doctor was also awesome . So if you can get past the Incredibly rude and unprofessional girl in the front you will have a good experience.

Deanna Suggs is amazing! She listens to my needs, gets appropriate labs and follows up quickly. I drive up the mountain to see her and am not sorry. She s wonderful and really cares for her patients

Had appointments today for both husband and I (had to change providers due to insurance change ) and so happy we did !! we were prior with pres 25 years and switched to blue cross blue shield .. we were established as new patients today and were welcomed like family !!! They say things happen for a reason .. well this really was true to its words ..the nurse assistant (so sweet) brought us both to room per our choice of course and we were both assessed individually , she was so friendly and thourough .. professional had a personality and cared . The staff as well were so inviting as we walked in .. professional and happy just so pleasant !! This is what you call customer service !! We absolutely ABSOLUTELY love Kelly Ray PA ..are blessed we now have such a caring and concerned, sympathetic, and understanding doctor at hand !! Truly a gem of a professional doc !!!!! She pays attention and takes her time which meant the world to us.. most just rush ya through out there and seem they have no concern of what you say or how you are feeling .. they are truly hard to find anymore !!! We both are thrilled to have made our new home Cedar Crest .. tons of great folk up here .. thanks again for being there for us .. y all will forever be our new home for medical needs .. if needed .:)

Not impressed. The women who schedule appointments are constantly rude. The staff in house are rude. My health hasn t been taken seriously and I feel that finding another primary care provider will be the next task on my list. Do better and hire people who aren t constantly disrespectful. Also Dr, Kelly Ray is one of the worst physicians I ve ever come across. I didn t even pick up my measly prescription for a mouthwash when I have supposedly a viral infection. Interesting how I never was tested for covid and I was also basically laughed at and told to wait it out so you charged my insurance and kept me waiting 45 min past my appointment time to give me mouthwash when I have saltwater at home? The proceeded to make me stay in the room waiting another 15 min for a copy of the mouthwash prescription. To say the least I left and then the woman proceeded to send me a text that has the link to the prescription. So what was the point of telling me not to leave and wait when you could ve just sent me the copy over text. Beyond disappointed and truly would not recommend this office or ANY of the offices. I don t think I ve ever been treated this way by the staff and then the doctors do nothing and claim it s viral when I know have an infection. To be gaslit by a physician is one of the weirdest things I ve ever experienced. I m not sure how we even came to the conclusion that it s a virus when I wasn t tested or even taken seriously. I have no voice after being extremely Ill to the point of not eating for over a week losing 15lbs in said week and now I have trouble breathing, speaking and coughing. But I was told tough and my lungs are clear and to go get mouthwash to help with minimal redness according to her. IdkI ve never felt so brushed off by a physician. Bizarre and thank you for charging my insurance for nothing as well as not taking my symptoms seriously. Beyond infuriating.

Met with my new primary today. Dr. Mankad. Very attentive and caring. Very kind and genuine. I think i will truly enjoy going here. Staff were friendly and professional from front desk and through out the process.Took a while to get my first appt. However, my follow up is close by in date. Dr. Mankad was thorough and took the time to listen and get to know me and my needs. Looking forward to seeing my new Dr. From now on. I think this particular office was the right choice for me and my husband, as he has an upcominv 1st appt too. Thanks Duke City Staff, you are awesome!

I love this office! The people there are so friendly and make you feel very comfortable. Dr Kelly Ray is amazing, she is so thorough and I never feel rushed unlike so many doctor offices do. I ve never waited more than 5 minutes to be seen. I highly recommend this office!

Dr was knowledgeable. Assistent was very nice. Wait was a little long. Didn t get the results if my test. This is the second time this has happened. Results of test promised but not delivered. There is a breakdown between what the Dr says and what happens after that. Thanks. Hope this helps.

Love this place! The staff are very kind,professional and really care about you! I get the best care! I Love my doctor! Kelly R. is very genuine very compationit very kind and Kelly is AWESOME at what she does! There's more to a doctor other than checking your vitals and prescribing prescriptions. Kelly's the whole package!

Duke City primary Care in cedar Crest NM is a enjoyable place, for a doctors office. The moment i walk in I m greeted by the receptionist with a warm friendly smile and she knows who I am. The waiting room is nice and sunny and bright giving it a homey feeling. The provider I see, Deanna suggs, is absolutely delightful. She takes the time with you and covers all basis she listens to your concerns and acts upon them appropriately. The staff gets referrals and prior authorizations taken care of in a timely manner which is also very nice. I have no complaints for this office and highly recommend it to any.

I have had almost a perfect experience with Dr. Burger at Duke city primary Care. All of the staff are so nice and helpful. The only negative thing I have experienced is when I missed an appointment due to covid asked if I could have a refill on my prescriptions since it would be an entire month until my next appointment and the woman who does scheduling wasn't very accommodating and I explained to her that the kind of medicine I take is dangerous to stop cold turkey and that it could lead to hallucinations seizures and possibly death and I don't believe she asked my doctor about my situation because there is no way he would allow me to run out of the medication I take. So I feel as if she ignored the urgency and never passed on the message to my Dr. . Other than this situation everything else has met my expectations. I do recommend Duke City Primary.

I have been really happy with my provider and the staff that I have talked to. Scheduling has been easy. They have had trouble being on time sometimes, but it hasn't been awful.

Lab results in the same day as appointment. However, had to call and get a copy of results because after two weeks only 4 lab results entered in Patient Portal. I have had other problems in the past with people at this office and Edgewood. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

So far everything has gone pretty smoothly. The staff is helpful and professional. My new doctor is extremely easy to talk to, listens to my concerns and is genuine in wanting to help me meet my health goals. Also, it's quite a nice short drive from Albuquerque out to Cedar Crest.

The staff is very friendly. Never long wait times for appointments or in the office. Dr. Kelly Ray is one of the kindest doctors I've ever met! I will be switching my entire family to this facility for our primary care!

My mother has decided to give this place a try after they changed from McLeod medical. I am sitting here waiting for my mother and I must say the front desk receptionist is anything but friendly.I was interested in finding out about a product and boy to my surprise while asking I felt I was going to get my head chewed off. I felt I was inconveniencing her by asking.Not too friendly which in return makes me not want to ever come back. First impression are critically important....Duke city hire people who make a person feel comfortable and welcome!!! The front receptionist is there to greet and assist.... yikes!! Be nice receptionist!!!
