Thank you to the team of professionals at Cedar Crest Tire & Auto for helping an Iowan in need traveling to Phoenix. My 2015 Honda CR-V engine tempature was pegging high on I-40 as I approached exit 175. A seized water pump & broken serpentine belt was the cause. After pulling off the I-40 to cool the engine, I called Cedar Crest Tire for assistance and they said they could help. I limped the vehicle to their location and (while every auto bay was full) they began to immediately assess the issue from outside and order the parts. Replacing a water pump on a CR-V is no easy task. There were often 3 technicians working the vehicle and contributing to the final inspection, which provided me comfort for the remaining 6 1/2 hour drive to Phoenix (mostly in the dark). They got me quickly back on the road with a fair price. I could see this business has years of experience and now I know why. Quality and timely service to a stranger. I can only imagine the high caliber service they provide the local community. Thank you again!

Had a great experience with these guys today. 6.12 23.Had a wheel alignment done as well as upsized our Toyota's tire size.Overall a super easy going experience.Parking wasn't bad, dropping off the truck we were immediately asked if we needed a lift home which was unexpected and awesome, we were very grateful for that.They called immediately upon finding failed tire sensors and got our approval to swap them out "which discount wouldn't have done and then would've created a headache making multiple trips back and forth " speaking through experience".So overall we are grateful these guys are up here in the EM and are looking forward to future business with them.Thanks again Ceder Crest Tire!

Wow! 10 out of 5 stars! Hands down best automotive repair shop I have been to in the 35 years I have spent owning cars on this Earth. Took my Element in for just a diagnosis, and ended up agreeing to every single major repair they suggested because their prices are out of this world cheap. Prompt, courteous, excellent customer service, and you cannot find a better experience getting your car fixed anywhere else in the mountains. My only regret is I didn't go here sooner! To quote the great Mr. T, I pity the fool that tries to do it themselves when these people do it so perfectly!Update 4-28-22: Once again Cedar Crest Tire exceeded expectations in all areas of auto repair! They even service AC systems with speed and affordability. They patiently explain the process to a novice and repaired the problems expertly, coming in exactly on estimate. Perfect again gentlemen!

EDIT- nearly a year later, I sit reading all these reviews from people who just popped in on their way to somewhere and were able to get service immediately....meanwhile I am a local who made an appointment a week and a half in advance and they called me at 3 in the afternoon the day before my appointment to let me know one of their mechanics was going on "vacation" and they'd have to schedule me two weeks from today. WHAT? Oh, and that's just for the diagnostic. If I want it to be fixed, it will be another week and a half. Oh, and I'd have to leave my car there. I work nights, and I needed my car. From reading these reviews its obvious this is a place that caters to out of towners for some reason, this is such a poor showing for a shop, and come on, ta MONTH for one repair? Changing my review to reflect this poor service. There is no excuse for this kind of wonky scheduling and not letting me know. I called a mechanic in Edgewood with better reviews and he can fix it this WEEK. Won't be returning. I guess i am not part of their chosen customer base or something.

Very disappointed. My family has used them for over 10 years. We have forgiven them forgetting to torque the bolts on the tires and making us drive it back and forth with possibly loose tires; over tightening oil pan drain bolts so they have to be drilled out and replaced; selling used parts that don't uphold to the warranty; finding an invoice that showed they charged us DOUBLE what they paid for parts. But this week, my dad had his car towed into the shop. We inspected the car, it was a minor transmission line hook-up to the radiator, no coolant. Nothing was damaged or out of place. They called to say there were very damaged parts that were BRAND NEW when the car was towed in and denied anything ever happening at their shop. The next day, they verified that the shop had messed up by starting the car and damaging the parts, but still claimed it was my dad's or the tows fault ultimately and it's because of my dad or the tow that THEIR SHOP damaged the car, but they would look at the parts. As soon as my dad took the old radiator for them to look at (at their request), the owner walked out and told him to never come back again. They would pay for the radiator and that's it. So my dad, who just bought a new radiator and installed it, now has to buy another new radiator AND THE LABOR for a new install, AND A NEW FAN, as well as the line replacement that it was taken in for. Owner of the store swears they aren't at fault for starting the car without looking at it when MY DAD TOLD THEM LINES WERE LOOSE AND NOT TO START THE CAR, that it's not their fault, and they shouldn't be responsible for anything and because my dad questioned them on it, he is now banned from the store. No one in my family is ever allowed back, after 10 years of loyal business, because they damaged my father's car. Do NOT use them; they do not know how to take responsibility for their own actions.

Great place to get quality tires for mountain winter driving. A little over a year ago I contacted them to get tires for my Subaru Outback. I needed something that could safely get me into town from the mountains and back, and would be good commuter tires in the summer.Initially, I was looking for something moderately priced, but they were out of stock and I didn't want the cheapest ones, so I went with the Michelin Cross Climate tires, which were the fanciest ones. Definitely, not the cheapest tires you can get...BUT, they are worth every penny. I felt safe driving last winter and they handled so well.This year, we bought a Subaru Forester for my husband and he got the exact same set put on. He loves them, too! Great experience both times working with these guys. We will be back.

This is a great local business. We moved to the area 4 years ago. They have helped us keep our 2002 Mazda Tribute on the road and are courteous and professional.We don t go anywhere else.

Hardworking, reliable, trustworthy! My grandfather has been coming to Mr. Kevin Barr and his shop for decades now and they have always been great to us. It s a little drive outside town but it s definitely worth it.

Watched the air pressure dropping in one of my new tires on the fifth wheel, wife found this place and we were happy she did. These young MEN here are GREAT, they pulled up like a well oiled pit crew. Had our wheel off and diagnosed the problem, installed a new tire and was out of there in MINUTES! This is where you want to go for services, everyone was very pleasant and professional. Happy Camper Again.

This used to be a fantastic place to get your car fixed, but do not go here now. My family has been going here for over 20 years and have they messed up? Sure. We are human, mistakes happen, but what they have recently done to my family is beyond excusable. The employees will lie to you about what they did or did not do to your car, they will not take responsibility for their mistakes, and get mad when you call them out. They've given wrong invoices, charged for work they didn't do, and even messed up repairs to the point a car is unsafe to drive. The straw that broke the camels back was when my dad took his classic car in to get hoses for the radiator fixed and he expressly told the mechanics what is wrong and that if they started the car it'd cause more damage. The mechanics started the car and there was major damage to the radiator. They expressly lied about starting the car and finally after admitting they did start it, are trying to blame my dad for the damage and get out of the situation. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR FIXED HERE.

they always take good care of me. I'm glad they aren't too far away from my home. they are very attentive to the things my vehicle needs to keep running. they are honest, and do a great job of fixing anything that needs attention. friendly staff.

This is simply the best mechanic shop I've ever used, and we have 10 cars and trucks. Fairly priced and quick repair times are the norm. Friendly, authentic folk are at the helm. Local owner and crew, two incredibly talented master techs. They can fix anything.

These guys are for real. They make me feel welcome to get my business. They do there works efficiently and expeditiously. They explain without talking down and best of all, besides their contagiously friendly nature, they keep to their estimate. I feel I am trust them when I send my girlfriends to have their cars serviced without reservations. One thing though, since COVID-19 they do not work weekends.

Honest first quality service! My wife and I are full-time RV and we re staying at an RV park about 6 miles from their shop. They sent out a mobile tire tech within one hour of my call to replace two tires on the driver side of our fifth wheel that were badly worn down. It was great to find this family run business who not only did a great job, but did it at an affordable price. Highly recommended!

Holy Cow! AMAZING! I ordered a new inside rim for my dually, brought my truck in to get the new rim put on, change some tires around and the owner comes in and sits down to tell me I only have a small hole in my tire and that it can be fixed. He ordered my new rim last week. I asked what about the rim ? He said he can send it back no problem! I was blown away! He could have just as easily done the job and said nothing. I was always treated very well here. And today was clearly no exception. Then to add to my experience Kevin (the owner) tosses my keys on the chair next to me and says it s all done, no charge ! I said what ? He said you bought your tires here, tire repair is on the house ! I was ready for a 160.00 dollar charge. Folks, this place is worth the drive if you live outside of cedar crest as well. You ll get treated really well there. I m coming back for sure!

I recently moved to the east mountains, and when I had a tire that needed repairing I wanted to shop local and avoid driving into town on a sketchy tire. I looked up the two auto shops nearby, and these guys not only had good reviews, but were the only ones open on a Saturday. I was on a tight schedule and they accommodated me without issue. Not only that, I left only 20 bucks lighter than when I drove in. Quick, friendly service at this family-owned shop is what's got me hooked as a local customer from now on.

Excellent service! I couldn't be happier with the service and work I received. I needed two tires on my car and was looking for used tires because of the cheaper price. I was never hassled or pressured for new tires. The staff understood my need and happily put them on. The price was reasonable and the service time was perfect. I went in with my 5 year old and my 3 year old and they both received toys to pass the time. I will take my car back again for other repairs. .

Awesome local shop! Will have you in and out as soon as they can. Came in for mount and balance on a set of 5 tires on a Jeep Jk. They were all polite and knowledgeable. Great prices! I felt taken care of. They will keep my business.

I have lived all over the country, and Cedar Crest Tire is hands-down the single best auto repair shop I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. It's never fun when your vehicle needs maintenance or repairs, but the team at Cedar Crest Tire always goes way beyond my expectations to take great care of my family and me. They are knowledgeable, honest, pragmatic, super-friendly, and extremely trustworthy. I have taken four different vehicles to them during the past six years for everything from routine maintenance to drivetrain problems. Although I am not an expert mechanic, I am enough of a tinkerer to know that these folks know what they are doing and always treat their customers with maximum integrity. I cannot say enough good things about all the incredible customer service we ve received over the years living in the East Mountains thanks to Cedar Crest Tire. As one quick example, one of the rusted out running boards on my truck was giving out while they were in the process of making an unrelated repair. At no extra cost they went to the trouble of reinforcing BOTH of the running boards for me with some well-placed added hardware. Their repair has held out for years since the work was done. They mentioned this in passing when I came for vehicle pickup like it was no big deal, but their work was stellar and so thoughtful. Countless little things like that stacking up over the years. Free tire patches, warranty for past CV joint replacement that didn t last as long as they expected the list goes on. They will never push for work that isn t needed, and are always patient in fielding questions and comparing cost options when a vehicle is near the end of the line. Furthermore, they are generous members of the Cedar Crest community with a steady effort to support the local food bank through their business.My family and I recently made the decision to relocate to the Midwest for a new job, and I realized today how much I will miss the friendships and peace of mind the great folks at Cedar Crest Tire have given my family since 2014. They are the best. I don t expect to find a better repair shop anywhere I live in the future. Anyone who takes my advice to stop in and visit these folks will see exactly what I m talking about.

had my car seen today for A/C issues. they determined they didn t have the proper equipment, but they went ahead and called my dealership for me and found out it should he covered under warranty. i thought that was a very kind thing for them to do and they just took it above and beyond. everyone was very nice and I will definitely recommend this place to people in the future! thank you for your honesty and help, guys!

I have had a couple of services done here and the service and people are great. I will be back.Update... 9/13/23. Had a smog check done today. I was in and out in a jiffy. Great local shop !
