Don't waste your time. I called for a quote, the lady at the front said that she would get a quote and get back to me. Ghosted, never heard from them again.If you cant trust them with something simple like a quote i wouldn't trust them with repairing your vehicle.

Great guys who are honest and knowledgable. They were quick and able to get my car going. Very happy I got recommended to them will definitely use them again when needed. These guys were amazing. When other shops told me I needed a possible transmission exchange and TCM. These guys found out it was just a fuse!!! They saved me thousands!!! Truly recommend them!!! Heard a noise in my rear diferencial while working in Carlsbad area, look up mechanic shops nearby and found drilling break, call and spoke with the receptionist and mike told them what s going with the truck, took it in and the bearings were shot!! They fixed it and now the truck run as new, throughout the whole process they kept me in the loop, they are some good honest people, good work, fair prices and knowledgeable, I would definitely use them again if I m ever in the area and in need of a mechanic

I live in North East Louisiana and am here working from out of town and my truck starts to run hot when driving it over 60 mph.I called 4 mechanics and Jay s Automotive told me to call these great mechanics. They scheduled my for first thing the next morning. Fixed my problem and sent me on my way. Friendly people great service and competitive price. I could not recommend Drilling Break Consulting Auto Repair more! These guys are fantastic and really saved me! I limped my old RV into town and had a hard time finding anyone who would even return my call. Mike got me in right away and sorted out how to get me back on the road. When another problem reared its ugly head and stranded me 70 miles away in the middle of nowhere in Texas, Mike drove out and got me back on the road again, gave me great advice for further action, and I got home safely. I truly wish I could have stayed in Carlsbad so that Mike could do all the things my RV needs! Fair price, honest, and a real mechanic!

Great job.. took my vehicle to local tire shop .And the said I needed deferential work . So I took it to Drilling Break for second opinion and it turned out to be an easy fix. Good service

Thank God for Mike! We drove from Corpus Christi and noticed a lot of slack in the steering wheel, it was a very stressful drive to say the least. When we got to Carlsbad I started calling around, called the first 9 shops that popped up and none of them had time. Luckily I continued searching and found Drilling Break. I dropped it off around 9am and by 11am Mike already had an answer for me. We had to wait until the next morning for the part to arrive, it was a Saturday, and even though they were supposed to be closed Mike had us on the road again before noon! He also got the air bled out of my fuel cooler pump and topped it off. So a big thank you to Mike and his staff for going above and beyond for us, we truly appreciate it.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Engine repair

Great customer service! Quick and knowledgeable! He came and helped get the truck and trailer off the side of the road and made sure the repairs were done in a timely manner. There was great communication every step of the process and I would recommend him to anyone needing repairs.

Boss's daughter on the way to Carlsbad from Texas breaks down, someone helped her to Drillings Break Consulting.Young girl, traveling alone, could have taken her to the cleaners. Not them, they did the work fast and got her back on the road safely.Fast forward couple of weeks. We noticed on the CC statement a double charge for the repairs. Called Mike, remembered the situation, apologized over and over again and immediately sent a check for the second charge. We came from east Texas and our truck failed us miserably. He got us on the road in spite of our multiple issues and worked to do it as quickly as possible to get us home on time. We made it home and really appreciate all his effort. We got knowledgeable help at an honest price while on vacation.
