Genuinely good people work here.While transferring across country on a military move, I ran into some engine issues. Orlando was the only mechanic in the area willing to squeeze me in on the day-of.It was a quick fix. Turned out to be a fault from a previous mechanic shop job. Orlando took time to speak to that shop on the phone, resulting in that shop giving me a full refund.Thanks, Orlando!

Extremely overpriced. Not up front about cost. Doesn't say it's 120$ an hour until after the work is done.

Orlando is great at what he does! You can count on him to be honest with his pricing, diagnosis and to get the job done in a timely manner. Alvarez Auto is the only mechanic shop I let touch my vehicles in this area. I can always get ahold of him when I need to. These guys helped me out major! Broke down in Carlsbad on a Saturday. Called up Alvarez auto repair late in the day, and they were still able to fit me in. Installed my new fuel pump in no time and got me on the road. Thank you so much!
