I had an extend stay in Mama Bear RV park while I was building my house. I found the park to be in the perfect location, washeteria located next door, Post Office next door on the other side, and you can walk to the grocery store and all restaurants in town. I also found the park to be quiet and well managed. Silvia and her family are very accommodating and easy to work with. Silvia's son lives at the RV park and is available for any assistance you may need. I highly recommend the park for a quick stay while traveling, a hunting trip, a visit to the local area (lots of western history in this area), or an extended stay. This park provides good WIFI service to the residents of the park as well.

The family that owns this place was sooo nice! They helped me set up when I first arrived and then I had some issues and they helped locate some people in the area that could help me. I really appreciated them! It s also located in a neat area!

Great family owned rv park, has many amenities. Lovely owners, have a fully fenced in area, cameras around the park, feels safe, plenty of room to park. Recommend to everyone, small or big RV's.

The owners of this RV park are very nice. However, they do not live there but live in another town. There is no manager there either. There is no camp host. So they are unaware of what goes on there. There are some undesirable long term guess that take advantage of the situation. There is no supervision on them.I recently emailed the owners to let them know , but did not get a response.

A nice, quiet, small RV park. Some sites have tree shade. Affordable. Laundromat next door. Grocery store a block away. A handful of decent restaurants in this small town. I'm staying here for a month for the quarantine and may stay the summer.

Family run by caring folks , small rv park. Mostly long term, hard working tenants with a few overnight sites. At best, friendly- at worst, to themselves. No drama. Clean restrooms. Well maintained. Walking distance to groceries, ATM, post offfice, library, laundry and several good dining options. Great choice if you desire staying in Capitan!

I've stayed here 3 times in the last year. I've had the absolute pleasure of meeting the Owner, and her family. Family operated by a mom, son, and daughter. I couldn't be more pleased with the customer service, cleanliness, and how polite the family is. Thank you for being Outstanding! I'll definitely be back!

This place is super clean and the owners are the absolute nicest people! We called them at the last minute and they were happy to accommodate us. There is a very clean bathroom and shower (one person at a time). They do not have a laundry, but there is a laundry next door. You are within walking distance of everything in the quaint little town. BE AWARE: the pictures posted are not of this RV park. There is not a view and the sites are very close.

Staying in Capitan wasn't originally in our plans, but we decided to stay here one night on our way to Roswell. Mama Bear RV Park came up and we are delighted to have found this nice, little RV park. They are family owned and operated and they are very friendly and accommodating. It's clean and the bathroom/shower room was very nice. Normally we don't use them because we have a trailer that is self contained, but we had a leak happen and had to use their facilities. They were awesome. The other plus about this RV park is that you can literally walk to the Smokey Bear Museum and Park (highly recommend this sweet place), the Smokey Bear Restaurant and Oso Grill. It's a win-win all around.

We had to evacuate our home due to the fires in the area and the owner has been nothing short of wonderful. When I called I was told to head on over there was plenty of room. Fortunately, we get to go home today. The RV park was easy to get to and easy to park our camper.

Great stop!!! The owners are the nicest people you could meet. A small park, with full hookups. The backins are comfy and pretty. The bathhouse is a single bathroom with shower, clean, and new. Basic, but very welcoming in a cool, VERY little town. Walking distance to everything, next door to a post office and Smokey Bear park. Worth the stop!

Nice little rv park. Gravel road with some shade trees at the end. 3 pull-thrus up front by road, but everything quiets down early. Not a highly traveled road.

Mama Bear RV park is a great place to place to catch a great night of sleep! very quite and friendly. She has both overnight and long term sites. There is a Smokey the Bear Museum next door and a post office to mail off your post cards back to your love ones. This RV park was one of the best overnight place we stayed at on our recent trip to California.

Easy access, level site, full hookup, excellent rate, friendly hosts. We enjoyed our stay. Close to Smokey Bear Museum, Lincoln, Valley of Fires, Ruidoso and more. While there are no amenities or space for kids to play, there is a playground one block away. You can walk to everything - grocery, restaurants, post office, library, playground and the museum. We travelled in our 42' fifth wheel.

Clean, but just a gravel pull through... we left before our checkout dates. Much prettier parks in the area. Would only recommend if no other places available.

Cute little RV park! They let us stop by to dump our tanks for $10. It was nice to be able to talk to them via text!
