Really wanted to give more stars, but firstly the managers forgot we were arriving and second, there were rude campers playing their music loudly. We went to this campsite because it was 21 and over. We figured adults would be considerate. Managers should do some rounds to keep things like this from occurring, as in other sites we've stayed at.

This is our 3rd time staying at Along The River RV Park. This year we decided to drive around and check out other RV parks and none compared to Along The River RV Park. The park is always very clean and staff is amazing! It's the perfect distance from town, far enough to get the camping feeling but close enough to drive downtown Ruidoso and do some shopping. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We were lucky enough to stumble upon this gem. Our plan was to find a decent campsite to stay at while exploring the Ruidoso area in order to plan our next trip to a campsite with our kids we wanted a nice wooded area with a creek. When we got to this one, we figured it would be hard to beat. We did some exploring and we were right! We already booked a future visit to this campsite. It is awesome! Regardless of the spot you chose, it is a beautiful area to walk through some forest with a creek running through the park. It is kid friendly and pet friendly. The staff are nice and very responsive. I can t imagine staying anywhere else! Thank you Along the River!

We scheduled online and requested buddy sites, as we were camping with another group. The young gentleman at the office was very friendly and helpful. He offered to let us pull into the site so our camper doors could face and then brought down down a splitter for the water and a 50 amp adapter so we could pigtail off the other sites electrical box/water. We all had wonderful pressure for water and no electrical issues, even with splitting with another campsite.Kids had fund in the creek and enjoyed all the wildlife. The sites were clean and well maintained. We will definitely come back again!

Stayed three nights here and enjoyed each one. Site was clean, comfortable and not crowded. The guys did an excellent job helping us back into place. When my truck broke down on the last day, they were happy to accommodate me if I needed to stay another night. Fortunately we were able to leave as scheduled, but knowing we weren t pressed was a welcomed relief.would definitely recommend Along the River to other campers.

We loved our time there! It was so peaceful. We stayed in the bunkhouse and we did not miss the amenities. The park staff were so nice and friendly as well. My only complaint is that I would have liked the bathroom to have been cleaned more frequently, but it never got filthy just a little messy and the shower floor could be cleaned daily, but again we are camping and I'm not expecting hotel maid service. We really did love our time there and hoping to do it again!I'd post a few pictures but it's not giving me the option.

Campsites are way too close. Dogs must remain on leashes even outside your camp door You can hear the heavy traffic right outside . .Along the river.Which takes away from the sound of the river. If you have a neighbor with screaming children, the management does nothing about it. They Only concentrate on keeping your dog on a leash.

This park is incredibly beautiful and peaceful. I spoke with Donna when I called, hoping to make a last minute reservation on a Sunday afternoon. She was friendly and personable and had us set up over the phone in minutes with a spot by a river. Eventhough we got there after close, we were shown to our site. A special trip was even made to get firewood for us. This is my first time to New Mexico and to be greeted with this superb hospitality means so very much. Thank you so much to everyone at Along the River.

2 years ago, we enjoyed a cabin at Along the River RV Park. This year we came back with our new RV camper knowing what a great spot Along the River is! This park mixes rustic charm with ease and creature comforts, such as clean bathrooms/showers and attentive staff that bring fire wood and burn tubs to enhance your camping experience. Camping Along the Rio Bonito River is well worth a return visit.

So beautiful. We arrived near 9pm and they welcomed us even though it was after hours. The owners were so friendly. Let us know right away we couldn't use the showers because the pipes still freeze over night in March.Glad we didn't have to treck there in the dark to find out it was locked. They give you a map with wifi info and helpful tips! The river is really lovely and the property is just beautiful. Of course there are wild animals, it's out in nature. Lol

The campsite was clean and had all the hookups we needed. It was easy check-in and the owners were very personable. It rained everyday but we still got out and about and got some fishing in and a few hours at the horse races. Thankful for the rain and enjoyed our long weekend.

THEY WILL TAKE MONEY OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION! If I could put less than 1 star I would. This place is a rip off!!! Not is it only tight parking, non-working bathrooms, but the owners are very un-professional!!! We mistakenly left the Water handle open which when we went to turn it off it broke. We tried to call them with no answer for 30min before leaving and went knocking on the doors of management. They would not come to the door or answer the phone. We got the water turned off with a tool. We finally got through 2hrs later at 11am....and let them know the issue. They never called us back after they seen they said would check the issue, instead decided to charge a $150 without even communicating with us like a good business owner should. We didn't dispute our mistake....but just taking money from our bank account was like stealing! Definitely not worth the stay!

My family and I spent Fathers Day weekend here for the first time. It was amazing! So beautiful! The spot that Melissa gave us was perfect. There was a walk way to go to the river with a wooden swing. It looked magical. Melissa and her brother were awesome! Very attentive and caring for our needs. I ve never seen bathrooms so clean at an RV/camp site like this one. I recommend this place percent. Will be coming back for sure. Loved it! My kids loved it! Very happy with our stay. Thank you for allowing us to make beautiful memories with our family. You guys are amazing! God bless!

Surrounded by nature and a beautiful little river that serenades campers. This is a perfect location, yet remote enough to allow you to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Be prepared to have no cell signal and intermittent WiFi depending on how many people in the park. The staff is accommodating and friendly. Love this place. I hope to return.

I was looking for a nice campground that was not geared towards the party crowd. It was recommended to me by some friends to stay at Along the River RV Park and I am so glad that I took their advice!! Me and my boyfriend stayed in the tent section for 5 blissful days of peace and quiet. The camp sites are well kept, the bathrooms are surprisingly clean and the owners couldn't have been more hospitable. Barry, Donna and their son were gracious hosts and we are looking forward to a return trip. If you are looking for a party camping experience, look somewhere else, but if you just want to get away and enjoy some relaxation time, I highly recommend Along the River RV park!

We had a delightful site by the river. We had plenty of privacy and enjoyed walking over the wooden bridge to the other side of the river to visit with the friendly horses.

What a delightful find!!! We had the park to ourselves (Monday check in). BEAUTIFUL park, gorgeous area. Family run park & I DIG that!!! From the owner s son taking our reservation to the daughter that checked us in.... AWESOME! Be sure & check out the hand made wood with beautiful burned-in etchings, made on site by the owner s daughter, incredible stuff! We ll be back for sure!!!

Just as the name implies, this RV park is along the "river". More like a babbling brook but still nice. We stayed in a tent site by the stream. Which was probably not the best idea since everyone else in the park comes through your campsite to get to the stream. Definitely not the place for peace and quiet either. It is located right next to the highway and the traffic is very noisy. They charged us extra for the fire ring which I thought should have been included for what they charge per night. Sites are very close together so not a lot of privacy. The bathroom were very clean and do include showers. Very close to Ruidoso so if you forgot something, you can drive into town really quick. Overall not a bad location but pricey and not secluded.

Highly Recommended!!!We just got back from our holiday weekend stay, and wish we were still there!! The owners, Barry & Donna, went out of their way to make us feel at home! Barry delivered firewood($) to us nightly & made sure we were enjoying our stay. Our tent spot by the river was amazing & picturesque! Restrooms were always maintained clean!! Before leaving, made a reservation for our next camping trip in August!!P.S. my wife says they need more bathrooms! Lol

Too expensive to begin with, when we got here they charged us an additional $50 because we had 2 of our granddaughters with us..totally unheard of in all my years of camping!!! The so called "playground" is a joke...only one swing even though they have hooks for 2 and room for 3. The few and small other things are rough wood where the kids get splinters. I do not recommend this place. There are lots of other places to camp here...choose a different one.

Great park, Friendly owners. Really nice setting. Good wi-fi. The 5mph limit is enforced, but the owners are exceedingly polite about it! I appreciate a park that enforces their rules, especially the quiet time. As for the dogs, I also have three dogs. I don't mind a reasonable charge, especially since many parks have a 2 pet limit. We will definitely be back!

This is a hidden gem! It is are second time back and we will definitely come again if our travels lead us that direction. Matt is very friendly and helpful. It is a clean quiet park right on the river. Great Wifi, however no cable. You don't want to be inside with the beautiful surroundings!

We just stayed two nites, nice spot on the river, would have stayed a little longer if not for the weather coming in. Donna and Barry are great hosts, very knowledgeable and helpful as to area. The park is one of the nicest we've stayed this winter and we've been all over Texas and now, New Mex.The only negative was that the rain kept us from enjoying a nice campfire sitting on the log swings at the site! We will definitely come back whenever in the area.
