I have always had really good service at this store location including scheduled appointments. But this morning was not the normal service. I scheduled an appointment/reservation in which the job was a 20 minute job. The appointment was set the day before in their computer and they would have the part ready. This morning I got there 20 minutes early and the person at the front desk told me they are full up and it would be about two hours. I explained I was literally 5 to 10 minutes from there and they could call if possible. The person at the counter explained if I left it would be first come first serve which this was very disappointing, and I left the building. If it was an hour wait I could possible understand or at least let me know something came up with another job which put them behind. Maybe it was just a bad morning which I know can happen. The customer service was on this quickly which shows they care unlike other businesses. The store manager also called which meant a lot.I have re-scheduled. I will continue to use your store. This is true customer service. Thanks again.

After this last visit I am never going back. While getting new brakes and rotors, they recommended that I replace the valve cover gasket. I decided to go with their recommendation and after getting the vehicle back and driving it for 13 miles it stalled out and the engine light came on, a first for this vehicle. I got it back to the shop and after having it for a full day, they finally came clean. Apparently when they replaced the valve cover gasket, the kit was missing two o-rings. Rather than tracking down another kit with new o-rings they decided to try to reuse two of the old rings. THEY KNOWINGLY REUSED THE O-RINGS. Cannot be trusted.

Had oil changed on my car. Great service, it was done quickly and efficiently. Staff people at desk courteous and pleasant. Looked for discount online but found none for Bernalillo. But desk attendant gave me a $10 discount after hearing me. My car takes synthetic oil which the most costly. Appreciated the discount.

I have been using brake masters since my husband and I moved to New Mexico in January 2023. They have worked on my brakes and they do my oil changes. I took my truck in because it s a 2006 and I was having a problem with my pump. Along with that I have a list of repairs to do because of the age of my truck. I really like brake masters because I indicated to them I cannot do all these and then I only want to do what is absolute necessary until the next time I can get a repair done. They did just that. They took care of my pump and give me an oil change. The rate was decent and I am happy. Thank you Brakemasters

I needed a quick fix to my Tacoma and Adrian was able to have a Tech take a look right away. They notified me of the solution and had it repaired within a few hours. I am so impressed with the staff at Brake Masters. They will have my future business.

Nathan was courteous, professional and helpful! He was a very pleasant surprise from my past experiences at that location. I hadn't had that type of experience. Nathan is definitely an asset to that Brake Masters!

Had my older Chevy truck recently serviced at the Bernalillo location. Mr. Man shal Martinez conducted himself very professionally and offered me great service. I will continue to go there with my other vehicles.

I ve used brake Masters for two of my jeeps! Great service and very helpful. They don t charge to do diagnostic tests either like Jeep ..very close to my house which is a plus! Will keep using them for all my needs!

Working out of town, broke down in Bernalillo and found Brake Masters close by. Came in with fuel pressure issues and a rear pinion seal leak. I was met with impressive courtesy and help to try and get it figured out what was causing the fuel problems, the seal replaced, and a few other maintenance jobs. After a day of troubleshooting an older truck they had everything figured out and fixed better than it s ever driven before in the 3 years of me owning the truck. Extremely happy with the service they provided me and walked me through step by step what could be the issue rather than trying to just swap parts and hope for the best. Saved me a lot of unnecessary costs and time. 10/10 would return for any work done I need for the truck in the area. Big thanks to Juan and Adrian for the help getting me back on the road.

These guys awesome! They are honest and straight forward! They accidentally quoted me a lower price for parts and when they discovered the mistake, they owned it and stuck to the original estimate! They did a great job and finished the job when they said they would! Out daughters vehicle is safely back on the road and we couldn t be happier!

I didn t have an appt but my moms needed fixing and they said I could leave it there and they would get to it through out the day. By 1:00 they had it done! Excellent service. I would recommend them highly and I will be taking my car to them.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR AT BRAKE MASTER! THEIR COMPANY NAME LITERALLY IS SELF EXPLANITORY! THEY BRAKE CARS AND THEY ARE THE MASTER OF IT! I dont even know why this place has 4+ stars. I took my car for brake fluid exchange and differential fluid back in September 2023 and they ruined my car. BIG TIME!After 20 miles of driving the car from the service they did, I had to tow my car back to them when my car broke down on the interstate. They said they didnt see anything wrong and took it to Subaru Fiesta (which is weird because if they know what they are doing, they should figure out themselves what is wrong with it). Subaru Fiesta stated that the differential fluid that they did on my vehicle caused the transmission to fail. Brake Master did their "Lab Tests" on the oil that they had put on my car and said that it came back positive and that the oil was the correct one - but who knows if it was really the right oil that they had sent to the lab was from my vehicle when clearly, they had the car for a couple of days already (anything could happen on those days).Funny part is, store manager, Adrian, stated that they test driven the vehicle after the service when I saw it on my own eyes that they just parked the car outside right after the service. I did not lose sight of my car after they serviced it. I dont know what else they can lie about.Such a hassle because plans I had for that weekend and couple of weeks after, I had to cancel it. Ive been very patient with them by not being bothered that they dont call me to give me update about my car so whenver I want an update, I ALWAYS ALWAYS have to call them. They would always say they would call me back but they never did except when they want to return the car to me is when they constantly would call me.Brake master towed my vehicle to my house and now, after a month and a half, I have to figure out how to get $11,000 because of the problem they caused with my transmission and they do not want to take any responsibilities that they did! I do not know what type of company that does not take care of their customer. Hopefully lawyers can help me out regarding this problem! This was the last thing I wanted to do but because of this result, I dont want this to happen to anyone.RED FLAGS:*The person that took my car in was wearing basketball shorts and tshirt like he just got out of bed and went to work*When they were servicing my car, I got there earlier and I could tell they spilled something on the floor and took them 5-10 minutes to clean it up. The guy that was fixing my car, backed up my car and even try cleaning up something with the hose under the hood (Sketchy right?)*Manager stated that they do test drive, when clearly, I was there and they did not do any test drive after the service*They dont call you when the car is done - I was sitting in their lobby for about 15-20 minutes waiting for them to call me but nothing, so I had to come up to them and ask for my car.*Even when I took the car back to them, still no update unless I call them back

BE CAREFUL!! They tried to charge me $4000 for something that the little machine told them to. My engine light came on, so I took it to them after I took it to Autozone. Breakmasters told me I needed a new turbo charger which was gonna be $4000 all together, they told me I wouldn't be charged the $140 for the diagnostic, well I got another estimate and it was $1000 so I picked up my car from breakmasters and took it to the new mechanic, well my turbo charger was perfectly fine, thanks to me keeping up maintenence on it, it was sparkling inside. So Breakmasters was going to charge me $4000 for something I DIDN'T NEED CHANGED!!!! My car would've broke down after I picked it up and they probably would just hook it up to the little machine that tells them what to do. INSTEAD OF TAKING THE TIME TO THOROUGHLY CHECK THE ENGINE!!! AND they still ended up charging me the $140 diagnostic which ended up almost being $170!!! They also took FOREVER to call me the first time for the estimate, I had to call twice, they said my number was wrong, and it was because the guy who took my info was more interested in what was on his phone then to take a customers info!! BEWARE!!!!

I've went here several times. The assistant manager is amazing and understanding and Martin, one of the mechanics completely fixed my suspension issues. I can't say for all of the Brake Masters, but this one has some incredible mechanics and managers and while I don't typically trust mechanic shops, these guys work hard and are honest.

Although they were short of people and only had two techs working and the assistant manager, all worked out well. I had an appt at 0830 and they finally took my car in at 0900. Thanks gentlemen for the good work.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

First time utilizing this business. I did make an appointment and arrived early. I was surprised on how relatively prompt they were with taking my vehicle in. Shortly after, the service staff apprised me of the work needed and how long it would take to complete. A couple of things - waiting room didn't have enough seats for it's customers, and they didn't rest the oil life gauge in my truck. Other than that, I had a great experience and would utilize them in the future.Services: Brakes, Oil change
