We own an RV park in Texas and we get very few days that are in single digit temperatures. I can say for certain, to be open full time in Angel Fire is not an easy task. We stayed here in January, and while we do not require much, we found the park and management to be very accommodating. We will be back.

Awesome location and service! We were in Angel Fire to enjoy the Downhill MTB Park.Monte Verde RV Park let us pitch our tent for a very reasonable price. Wifi, bathrooms, shade and a bike wash station. Couldn t ask for anything more.Paying Joe by credit card over the phone was fast and easy.We re hoping to bring our RV and stay long term next summer. Thanks Joe!Nearby activities: Angel Fire Bike Park is within pedal distance on a downhill MTB.

We unfortunately did not stay here due to my husbands health issues but I can tell you that Tim is amazing! We were booked for a week but as we were traveling I saw that the resort is over 8000 elevation. My husband is a cardiac patient and has breathing issues as it is so we became very concerned. I contacted Tim and he graciously and patiently talked me through all the potential issues and ways to help at this elevation. Based on his help I was able to possibly stop what could have been a very bad situation. He put our needs and my husbands health above making money. Such an amazing person. We are so great full for his help and once we can hone and the Dr hopefully orders oxygen for my husband we will book again. Just based on our experience there is no where else in the Taos/ Angel Fire area that we would stay.

Monte Verde was a nice campground in a great location. Tim was so helpful and made our RVing experience great. He has added a dog park and is working to make it a nice one. Dog parks are near to number 1 must have for my husband and I. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. Monte Verde s prices are great!Nearby activities: We enjoyed riding around the Enchanted Circle and exploring the nearby towns. Our favorites are Red River and Cimarron home of the St James Hotel and wonderful restaurant. St James Hotel has quite the history of outlaws in the past as well as the good guys . They will let you walk through the hotel to enjoy the history of who stayed there and it is free of charge.

We spent Memorial Day Weekend camping at Monte Verde RV Park and it was GREAT! We had a pull-thru spot. The graveled spot is nice and level and easy setting up with water, electricity and sewer dump right at the spot. It was beautifully kept with each spot having its own green grass, picnic table and young trees. It's nice and quiet at night and is easily accessible, being right off the highway headed to Angel Fire. Also the wi-fi was pretty strong even though the park was very full of campers. The views are pretty as well. Communication was great leading up to our arrival as well as the contactless check-in process. We'll stay there again when headed that direction!

Great value and very nice park! We stayed here 2 days last Monday, June 6th and 7th. Joe, the owner, was very nice, professional, and accommodating. Our rv spot was very nice and clean. The restrooms were clean and showers hot (just heads up, showers are coin operated; but it was not an issue with us). We originally had a reservation close to the bath house but Joe let us move to the back of the lot which gives you complete beautiful views of the Moreno Valley and Angel Fire Resort. Joe is working hard on expanding and improving his RV campground. We highly recommend and will stay here again. Curtis & Coni Fox / Montgomery, TX

Okay campground, gravel roads and level sites. We were on pull-thru site 38, which in my opinion is one of the better sites because it is on the end and has a nice view of the mountains. However, there isnt enough room to pull-out, so I had to back out. The check-in process was totally online or via text messages, never met or spoke to anybody. For no amenities except a bathroom/laundry, the price is too high. We camped at Monte Verde RV Camp in a Motorhome.

Spent 5 weeks at Monte Verde during March and April in our 33ft fifth wheel. The campground and owners were wonderful. The location is convenient to several hiking trails and ski resort. 45 min drive to Taos. The laundry area was clean and convenient. The views were amazing. Will have to visit again when slightly warmer and not under a pandemic lock down to really soak in the beauty. Thanks for a great stay.

We stayed to bike at Angel Fire Bike Park and the location is amazing. The owner is a very cool guy who snowboards and bikes. They were closed when we called to make last minute reservations and he still got back to us and gave us a site. There s is a enclosed off leash dog park at far end of the property. Even though the spaces are tight strangely nobody made a sound after 9:30. It was dead silent. There is laundry facilities and full hookups and I d recommend supporting this helpful young guy who loaned us an RV plug adapter in case we had to be powered up at bike park since I ruined my house batteries

The owners are extremely nice. I stayed there last summer and wrecked at the Angle Fire Bike Park. I had to run to the ER in Taos, and didn't know how long I would be gone, and my 2 dogs were in my RV. I asked Melody, the owner, if she would mind checking on them in a couple hours in case I couldn't get back for a while. She agreed right away. The facility is very nice with great views all around, and a good amount of mature trees. I will definitely stay here again.

My whole family (5 adults and 1 child) just stayed there for 4 nights this week. The house we rented was amazing. So comfortable and cozy! Even better than the website says. Literally right down the road from Angel Fire ski resort. Big screen TV fully connected - great WiFi - super comfortable beds - amazing bathtubs and showers - huge, fully outfitted kitchen and a toasty fireplace. The owners couldn't have been more attentive. I highly recommend everyone from a single family to multiple families or groups staying here. We'll DEFINITELY be back!!

We've stayed here 4 nights. Angel Fire is a beautiful wonderful location to camp and relax, and Monte Verde RV Park is wonderful place to call "home" while you're in Angel Fire. Whole campground is clean and well-kept. Owners are very friendly and helpful and have lots of good information to offer. Bathrooms are very clean. Water pressure is good. Propane available on site. Picnic tables and fire pits provided are nice. Thankful for good WiFi. Mountain views in every direction. Excellent pricing and we rate this campground 5 STAR PLUS. We definitely be back!! Thanks Joe and Melody for the great camping experience!

10 stars, I stayed for skiingCheapest RV park I've stayed at with the UPMOST quality of service and atmosphere. Family run, they really make you feel at home. One of the owners even went out of her way to give me a ride into town! The location is gorgeous. I spent at least an hour taking photos. There is a very clean bathroom/shower house on sight.

Super nice little RV spot. No frills, but everything you need. The showers and bathrooms are clean, the water is hot. There are even some hair driers and straighteners. Laundry is $3 per load and there's a bunch of machines there. Great views of the mountains and slopes.

Based on prior reviews and the posted pictures, we elected to stay here. Upon our arrival, we questioned if this was even the same place! We were very disappointed in what we found, and immediately changed plans, opting to stay somewhere else. Monte Verde appears to be a long term park for transient workers, with additional sites available for RVing tourists. We found the park to be unkempt, with litter and refuse lying about. Sites were narrow and cramped. We later posted additional pictures, other than those used for park advertisement.

This place is awesome. Easy to find, really good views of the hot air balloons during the balloon festival. Owners are super awesome as well. Nice views of the surrounding mountains and is really quite. Bathrooms and the whole park are really well kept. If you have a dog you dont have to worry this place is dog friendly. You guys rock Joe and Melody.

In early November we were boondocking nearby when the weather began predicting a heavy snow. After doing a little research on local RV parks, we decided to hunker down at Monte Verde RV Park. We were very happy we chose Monte Verde! There are several pull thru sites. They have some of the cleanest bathrooms we have experienced, very affordable laundry ($3 for wash and dry). Joe, the owner, was extremely helpful with our mail service. We had good power and internet, wonderful views, excellent camping neighbors, and, to top it all off, we had at least 100 elk pass through the campground one night. We cracked the window on our RV and enjoyed listening to their calls. We ended up getting at least 6 inches of snow, but Joe was quick to plow it out of the way, with his happy dog out front leading the way! I recommend Monte Verde RV Park in Angel Fire. We would stay here again.

I have never seen bathrooms this clean! Located just off the highway but road noise was no issue. In the valley with beautiful mountain views in every direction. Convenient to Eagles Nest and Angel Fire. Well maintained. Very friendly folks. We will be back.

Loved this small park! New owners were very friendly and evidently making a few changes. Park had both RV spots as well as plenty of tent sites. You have a perfect view of Angel Fire mountain! Just a very quiet, relaxing place to stay with great temperatures!

We enjoyed our stay at Monte Verde RV Park and Campground, Joe was great and was there to help us with anything we needed. We were there for Christmas using our RV in winter for the first time so we were glade we had support if needed. The location is awesome, 2 miles form the base of Angel Fire. Next time we are in the Angel Fire we know we have a great place to park our RV. Thanks Joe and Monte Verde RV Park and Campground!! See you next time. Ron

Very close to the Bike Park and the restaurants/bars. The staff was friendly and the restrooms were clean. This place would be great with an RV, but not so much with a tent. The tent spots need improvement (grass, maybe a tree or two). They did let us set the tent up in the overflow area where there is some grass. The RV spots had lots of grass and trees. Also make sure to bring quarters for the showers.

This is our favorite spot in Angel Fire to camp! Spots with nice shade, movable fire pits, picnic tables and very clean facilities. Close to the bike park and neighboring trailheads - a bit of highway noise but not bad at night. The new management is amazing and incredibly accommodating. We were up for a bike race and they even left out a hose and a bucket with bike cleaning supplies for the campers to use! They sell ice in the office which is a major plus.... and are just genuinely sweet people. Highly recommend!

We stayed in Site 16. We were kind of close to our neighbor's. We could hear every conversation they had which at times made us laugh. The price was very affordable to stay here. Minutes to downtown Angel Fire. About 8 miles to Eagles Nest, and maybe 21 miles to Taos, so easy access to shoppimg. Would stay here again.

For tent camping, Monte Verde RV is a convenient location for Angel Fire down hill bike riding. It has a shower house (bring 75 cents for 6 minute shower), toilet facilities, porta potties near camp area. A common open porch area is great for cooking, or for hail storm shelter :) The camp ground still needs work. Ground hogs everywhere have caused damage to the camping spots. But they are cute to watch. Staff is friendly and helpful. RV campers seem very happy with facilities.

This was fantastic place to stay while we visited Angel Fire and the surrounding area for a week this summer. There are gorgeous views and hiking trails right on site. The owners were incredibly helpful. I had an electrical problem immediately upon arriving late at night and Joe helped us get it straight first thing in the morning after we arrived. It was a problem with the 30 amp outlet on our trailer and Joe repaired it for us. We got a nail in a tire and Joe sent us to a mechanic nearby that fixed the tire almost immediately after we called him on a weekend. Nice people everywhere! We came in a travel trailer, but our daughter and son in law joined us and rented a 5th wheel from them and it was in good shape. There is an airport nearby, but I don't think we heard more than one plane take off or land over a week's time. The town has everything you need and Taos is only about a half hour away. There are lot's of interesting and beautiful places to explore in the area. We saw a lot of elk, prairie dogs, a coyote and even bear cub climbing a cliff not far away. Highly recommended.
