Had my 2018 Equinox transmission rebuilt full overhaul only took a week.! Shaun was a big help in explaining the whole process and made it stress free. Keeping me updated with calls and pictures. Drives like new very professional.

Thank you to the tranco team! They are welcoming to everyone that stop in. I came in for transmission problems and we needed to used carmax care warranty. The were honest and efficient in working with the warranty company. I was really impressed when I got my vehicle back within a weeks time. Other shops were backed up weeks. Definitely chose Tranco Transmissions Repair for any transmission work.

Great experience dealing with the office staff mainly Evelyn. I was in contact with her for about a week before I had brought my vehicle in. She gave me a rough estimate on pricing when I had explained to her what the issue was. She kept me in the loop on what days they would have availability. I dropped my 2017 Suburban off on Moday morning, by tuesday morning, they had already started sending me updates and pictures of the transmission with detailed notes everytime. I had told them to start the work and by Wednesday they had sent me another update with pictures of the transmission completely apart and the internal issues. Luckily they had the specific parts needed on hand because they tend to do alot of work on that type of transmission. Friday morning my vehicle was ready to go. I have had it back for about 2 weeks and the transmission is working with no issues.The cost was within their estimate and was extremely well priced for the work that had been done. They also have 90 days no interest and a payment plan if that is the route you need to take. Great staff and great turn around time. I definitely would recommend them to others for their transmission needs.

If you ve had a transmission go out, you know the shock of realizing the expense and immediate disruption of your life! So do Evelynn, Shawn, and Ray :-) From the first OMG, the Tranco team provided possibly the best customer experience we ve had with an unexpected major repair expense. Evelynn started it with a professional and caring first-call interaction, sharing her confidence that money spent with Tranco would give us an excellent repair and a solid warranty. She got me right over to Ray for technical advice, truly a master technician, who walked me through options for limping it into the shop. In fact, since we were at a shady shop in Las Cruces, we opted to get a tow dolly and bring it up to our new home city (Albuquerque), where we d have a local warranty :-) Then came Shawn and the rest of the repair team, making a quick and thorough diagnosis and repair recommendation - again, caring was a key part of the experience. Now, our trans is silky smooth yet crisp when needed. Tranco s rebuild has restored the quality feel of our van. These folks are masters - give them a call. And our sincere thanks for such a great experience!

I walk in to the store, and the guy that was in the front desk treated me very nicely. He helped me find some parts for my chevy silverado that I ve been looking for a while in other stores and they did had it. This is a great store if you looking for transmission stuff highly recommended

Ray and the technicians went out of theirway to repair my truck . Probably the most professional shop I ve ever dealt with. My transmission has never shifted so smooth . I highly recommend Tranco Transmissions .Thank you Ray and all involved

Got my transmission worked on back in May of 2023 there was still shaking they replaced the other cv axle without charge, they gave me a good warranty and I live in Texas. Few months pass it started shifting hard and not going in reverse time to time. Without hesitation they looked at it and told me it would take some time which I didn't mind. They relieved me of stress of cost of having spending 4300 again for a new transmission with a baby on the way. Evelynn calls me today and reassures me its under warranty and needs to take it apart to figure out what is going on, if it saves me from having to purchase a new vehicle and money I can't afford right now (we have all been in a tight situation)I'm beyond grateful. Everyone who works there from the mechanics to store advisors Shawn and Evelynn to Ray the owner are extremely kind good hearted people. It will take some time which is okay I am in no rush just thankful for good people and good work.

Fantastic service, little over 2 years ago had a rebuilt transmission put in,I was very very happy, since then very very recently I had some issues with the transmission solenoids, The warranty had expired by 2 months, The shop was very very busy, despite that they took care of my van, They extended the warranty, I didn't have to pay anything, I dropped off my van on a Monday by Wednesday it was good to go, so far so good. Many places talk about how they take care of their customers, these guys really really do take care of their customers old and new. I'm not saying that they'll do the same for you as far as getting your vehicle in and out, but in my case it was very quick. Every issues are different some can be dealt with right away some take time. I would highly recommend doing business with this shop.

These were the only people involved with my 760Li that were able to surprise me. Pretty much every other business did their utmost, but Tranco went above and beyond, and I get the sense that they think they didn't. They were one of two businesses in the state who were able to outright rebuild my transmission, and they were the only shop that was 1) confident that they could repair it and 2) not asking a crazy amount for the rebuild. They gave me a worst case scenario price which was still cheaper than my best case scenario the day before I called them. They also worked fast. I was expecting to have the car done in a matter of months. They took about two weeks, and they only took that long because my car is an impossible piece of garbage. Seriously, these people tackled a car the dealership didn't understand, and made it work. I would recommend Tranco over anybody else.Service: Transmission

It's been just over a year since I had the transmission rebuilt on my 1999 f-250 with 7.3L diesel. I had them do a mechanically upgraded pump and billet torque converter. So happy with there work! this thing pulls like a freight train! I mainly use this to pull a tandem axle trailer for my local business , but I also take trips across the country. I really couldn't be happier with the customer service and work they do. this is the place to get a quality rebuild on transmissions. Thank you so much for taking care of me! my lively hood relies on this truck working everyday and I wouldn't trust anyone else!!!!!Service: Transmission

Got my 2006 Ford F150 Wednesday and got it back to me Friday full transmission rebuild with torque converter fixed and is running perfect. No more slipping gears between second and third. Definitely would use again if needed in my other cars.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I was so happy Tranco replaced my transmission in September 2021. I was given a 3-year, 100K mileage warranty. When I had an issue last month, they towed my vehicle back to their shop on their dime. After an analysis was performed, they ordered the part that fixed the problem. Such nice people to deal with. It was fixed in just about a week, and my vehicle was back in my garage. Thank you for making this as painless as possible.

Amazing amazing amazing. I would give 100 stars if I could. The customer service is amazing. They kept in contact with us the entire time our car was there. They gave us updated pretty often. They also kept their price promise to us even though it required more. I could not recommend them enough. I have never had such an amazing experience! Thank you for fixing our ford edge! Tranco is by far the best transmission shop in town. There is no other shop I would even consider doing business with. My only fear is that one day the owner Ray will decide to retire. I have been going to Tranco since the opened in 1995 and they have repaired multiple vehicles' transmissions and clutches for me and I have never had a problem. I have recommend them to family and friends that have done business with them ad been very happy. In all I have done business with them with approximately a dozen cars. Most recently I had them replace the clutch in my ford fiesta and like all my previous cars they did an exemplary job. They are fast, courteous, and very competitively priced. Ray the owner has built a very impressive business. They also have a shuttle that can take and pick you up from your work or home so you done have to arrange a ride. It's hard to find a quality business in town that is reliable time after time, so when you do you stick with them. At the end of the day I can not rave enough about them.Service: Transmission

Broke down late morning, had my car towed in, and even with a stacked schedule, they were able to order parts, do the repair, and have it ready for pickup later that same day! Excellent customer service, friendly, and really understanding - Shawn was a real pleasure to work with (rare these days) and after checking on what was needed let me know it would be a less expensive repair than previously thought. They worked on valves on my car. Sure, they fixed it, but they literally ripped off my console cover, tearing the elastic, and then threw it in the backseat.They also put a hole in my steering wheel cover too. I had to get Carmax to reimburse me for all of the damages that occurred while it was at Tranco. Do better.

My wife and I were traveling from California to Missouri and got stranded in Albuquerque, NM. At first, had our vehicle towed to a Chevrolet dealership. After Chevrolet told us our transmission was on indefinite back order, my wife found Tranco. Ray and the crew immediately went into action, had our vehicle towed to their shop from Chevrolet and had our vehicle done in record time, 3 days. Got us back on the road again without any hassle or delay. Their professionalism, and expert craft of the technicians really went above and beyond. I would highly recommend Tranco to anyone any day. The people at Tranco Transmission Repair were all consummate professionals throughout the whole transmission rebuild process. Ray is a great person and Sean is, too. They listened to our odyssey we went through with our truck with empathy and compassion, and they made sure we were treated exactly the way an auto customer needs to be treated. I had a fantastic experience at Tranco! I believed my car had transmission issues and brought my car in. They had the car diagnosed in a couple of hours. They realized it was not a transmission problem and were able to not only recommend another mechanic shop but also transport the car there. Thank you so much tranco. Communicative and trustworthy!

I'm finally getting around to writing this review after a couple years, but you need to know that the pros at TRANCO installed my transmission quickly and with great service along the way. I had bought a re-built transmission from out of state, had it shipped here and these guys care of the rest. They are trustworthy, honest, and professional! My Mustang transmission is going strong! As a freelancer, my car is my life. When my transmission went out in May, I got a quote from Nissan to replace it, along with some other work. I thought that the quote was way too high, and just could not justifying paying that much to fix my Juke. I walked into Tranco at the recommendation of Carmax. From the time I stepped in the door, I knew I was in good hands. I asked for a verbal quote. Trancos quote was way less, and decided to place a down payment. All in all, total replacement with some added work on axels was $3000 less then Nissan. My car is running like it was when I bought it, and could not recommend this place any higher. Sean (Shawn) was incredibly nice and was able to answer every question I had. He was able to keep me informed during the entire process with pics and explanations of what they found. And what needed to be fixed. Every person who works there, was helpful and amazing at their job. The shop is the cleanest shop I have ever been into. I have added about 2000 miles since their work, and my car is still running perfectly. If you need a transmission service, only go to Tranco. They are the best in ABQ, by far.

Highly recommend!! Can't recommend these guys enough! Finally, honest mechanics who truly care about fixing the issue at hand instead of just taking your money. I was told by my mechanic that my jeep needed a new transmission (just replaced it a few years ago so the warranty had just expired). Wasn't happy with the place I've been taking my vehicles to for years as the quality of service has gone downhill drastically. Had taken my jeep in twice within 2 weeks for the same computer issue that they never did repair. I decided to take it into a transmission specialty repair place since I only experienced more problems every time I took my vehicle into the shop. Ray at Tranco spent a lot of time looking things over thoroughly and advised me that it did not need a new transmission...confirmed that it was indeed an issue with the computer AGAIN that was supposedly just "fixed" for the second time that week at the other place! Glad I didn't pay my mechanic another dime for terrible work and take his word for it that it needed a new transmission. Would've cost me thousands of dollars, more than the vehicle is worth!! Tranco values their customers and really do care. Thank you guys for your honesty and for going above and beyond!!!

I cannot say enough great things about this shop and the guys who work there. I was in the midst of driving across the country when it turned out my car needed a new transmission and Tranco came to the rescue. Keith and Ray were my main points of contact and who I dealt with. Not only did they put themselves in my shoes in regards to making sure I was able to get back on the road as soon as possible, they gave me suggestions on what hotels to stay in, restaurants to eat, and places to go. They kept in great communication in terms of timing estimates on when things were expected to be done and gave great details on their diagnosis of the issue and how they planned to fix everything. I would not have made it across the country without the help of these guys!!!! 10/10 would recommend.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance
