We were happy to take our class a rv in for over heating and engine failure while driving. We were told that the house of all the wires was slightly melted, causing sensor malfunction. If it happened again, then they were dumbfounded as of the cayse.They charged us to secure it safely. We drove it a six hour drive to AZ, and it turned off again several times. We are just overwhelmed by the lack of effort and confidence. It will show engine communication failure as so as we travel within an hour. The hotter it gets, the more it will shut off while driving.UPDATEWe used this shop last fall. 2010 Four Winds Serrano 32ft. We had a 1k deductible, and the price of repairs was $900. I am most confident who and where I am reviewing about.

The people here know exactly what they re doing. This place needs more stars than 5. They identified problems with my rig that other mechanics don t even know how to identify. They have perfected their craft at this business and need more recognition. I wish the best of luck to this business and appreciate the service they do.

ABQ is so fortunate to have Statkus Engines. This is a very professionally run shop that gets the job done quickly and correctly. We've had our RV in to Statkus twice and both times have been totally satisfied with the time it took, for the updates provided by Wendy, and for the service provided. You just can't ask for more in a service provider than what Wendy and Statkus Engines provides.

Wendy & dad Jim are true professionals. They took us in on short notice even though they were slammed with about another 20 RVs on their lot. We greatly appreciate that They helped us with our coolant leak and also made sure we got a transmission fluiid change so we can keep going down the road. We highly recommend them if you need any engine work done on your RV.Service: Transmission

Having a motorhome engine break down is miserable! Finding a place that not only makes the complex repairs but goes out of their way to help is a real blessing. Statkus was that place for us. The work was thorough and complete and they did not try to sell us anything that we didn't need.. They also worked with our insurance (ESP) which kept our out-of-pocket cost down.Service: Oil change

Wendy is incredible! We are so grateful we were referred to her. She has been such a wonderful help. They got me in ahead of their planned work due to my emergency situation. Very knowledgeable about everything RV related. In addition to fixing my immediate problem, they pointed out things that weren t getting done by my regular service provider (grease zerks missed, etc.). Highly recommend!

LIARS! they cost me $175 in park fees waiting for them to do nothing! Saying my exhaust was rusted and full of holes. I went to exhaust shop and they said no holes, rust or leaks! They has my RV for 1 1/2 hrs.. Must have been just sitting there! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! THEY WANT ONLY $$$$$$$$$.

Shout out to Wendy and crew!! Thanks for the fast work on my truck. I had oil change, filters, and fuel filters replaced. Honest opinion about needing a transmission fluid replacement was appreciated. We are full time and on the road, and got an error code indicating low fuel pressure at the engine. This is usually clogged oil filters. We stopped at Loves and they changed the filters. They did not use exact replacement filters. Now the codes are low fuel pressure and water in the fuel. We d rated outside of Albuquerque. La Mesa referred us to Statkus.Unbelievable help. Wendy appreciated the fact that we have no home and got us in the next day. She updated progress all along and even found the elusive water separator filter and sensor. Jim provided helpful tips on maintenance that I loved to learn and was a sage about any questions I had.We are on the road later that day.I wish there was a dependable honest thorough place like Statkus everywhere. You are lucky Albuqueque.Thank you again Wendy and Jim and Statkus.

Went here to try to service our brand new ford forester camper but couldn t help me because Ford doesn t have them is an authorized service dealer. But this family owned business went above & beyond to get us help. They were more help than Ford!

This place is the best! We were traveling back home( Maine) when the unthinkable happened- a tire flew off a trailer n front of s at 65 mph and took out our exhaust! This place was awesome. If you go here you are taking your chances. The owner is irresponsible and dishonest. Record every conversation, save every document and have a lawyer on speed dial. Go anywhere else.Response To owner: This is not a fake review. The owner is an habitual liar. Do not trust him. We went to court and he lost. This another example of his dishonesty.

Very deserving a 5+ stars. We were semi stranded west of ALBQQ, called them, gave them an engine diagnostic code we got from a service center that couldn't fix the issue, and they scheduled us the next day, ordered the parts from our phone call, and fixed it the next day we dropped it off (after limping into ALBQQ). Wendy and the team there got us back on the road that afternoon, and really squeezed us in their very busy schedule backlog as you could see from the parking lot. If you are an RV'er, and in need, these guys are great.

Had a tire blow out on I-40, and my RV was towed here. Wendy was hands-down the most knowledgeable RV service person I ve ever spoken to. And quite nice, too. They know their stuff!

Lost all of my coolant in my coach on I-40 east of Albuquerque. Tow truck was able to pick us up and tow us to Statkus Engines.. They waited after hours for us to arrive with tow truck. Recommended a nice near by hotel. Called us first thing the next morning with diagnosis. Brazed a stell line for a temporary fix so that we could take the coach to a RV park while the new part came in overnight. I had called several other dealers and was told they could not even look at and diagnose problem for a couple of days. I would highly recommend this family business as they are very professional, prompt, and caring.

Wendy is amazing and knows her stuff!!! This place is awesome. I will drive to New Mexico for yearly service for sure! We are full timers (new) and she helped us a bunch. People that have negative reviews on this place are probably always posting negative reviews!!!

Wendy and her sister run a tight ship and get you back on the road. They treated us like family and fixed the problem with our coach with ease.They went WAY above and beyond driving to the freight liner lot where our coach sat for a day just to tell us they can t do anything and charged us.Wendy and father drove to us within a half an hour of calling them. Wendy hooked up her laptop and within 10 minutes was in the phone with Spartan parts overnighting my needed sensor. They took us to a hotel kept us informed and picked us up from the hotel. Wendy then spent well over and hour with me walking around the coach explaining systems and maintenance time frames. This was all done after their closing time. They are incredible and give 10 STARS not just 5.Don t go to anyone else if you re in the area and need help.Roy CarpenterNorth Carolina

These people and the work they did for us, are of the highest quality! We can t thank them enough for all the work they did on our Class A motorhome!! Our trust in them will have us coming back again and again to have maintenance and repairs completed, because we know it will be done correctly! They took the time to show us a few things we thought other mechanics had taken care of, but clearly had not. We absolutely respect, and appreciate the men and women, who work here!! I would give them ten stars if it were possible!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I was amazed at the promptness of getting our rv inside for diagnosis. The professionalism and concern for our safety as we continued on our trip was unlike any I've experienced. They are truly a top notch shop and I would recommend them to everyone. Thanks again Stutkus Family

Long story short: Had an amazing experience with Statkus. Very responsive, professional and thorough; above and beyond anything I expected! They had the parts we needed, repaired swiftly, did a final inspection and instilled confidence in us to make the long haul home.Long story: traveling 7 months pregnant with my husband and 1.5yo daughter in a 2002 Southwind, final destination Portland, OR. The check engine light came and we started losing power in the throttle about 40mins north of ABQ, so we turned around and I called everywhere for help. Two other shops recommends them so, even though they had just closed for the day, I called and they answered! Instead of being frustrated or asking me to a call back, they listened to our RV s symptoms, and scheduled us first thing the next morning. Got us in, ran diagnostics, thankfully had the parts in stock, and got us back on the road in less than 5 hours. I hope they know what a blessing that was to our family to have good, honest and thorough service. And for us to be back on the road already. Thank you Statkus!

I was shocked about the 1 star review on Google after my experience. I get that not everyone is "your cup of tea" but they were honest, transparent and just overall good people.Grateful we found them after our nightmarish experience. They did everything to accommodate us and to see to it that we got back on the road, safely.Thanks again.

Called several RV repair to finally speak to Jim that informed me to come now. They serviced my RV while waiting for filter they checked all fluid levels and greased the under chassi.. Statkus Engines to the rescue! (Again) We have a 42ft 400hp Cummins diesel pusher motorhome and use Statkus Engines for all our improvements and maintenance needs even though they are almost 100 miles from our home!We set out December 22nd on a 2,000 mile round trip to Houston to be with my husband's unwell brother (having tested and quarantined for 2 weeks)for the holidays only to have a complete shutdown of our engine about 70 miles past Albuquerque. After contacting Statkus & getting towed back, we returned to our home 12 hours later very discouraged and possibly facing major & lengthy repairs. The next day Dec 23rd after conducting diagnostic testing and consulting with Cummins, a Christmas miracle was performed by the team at Statkus working up until closing time (they would be closed for holidays) to get our rig repaired for us. We had taken a chance and returned that day with our tow vehicle. By 4:15 we were back on our way and with some night driving were able to spend Christmas with family!!! Thank you again to Wendy, Jim and the whole team. We would rate them a 10 if we could!!!!Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

These folks are absolutely the best! We had an overheating problem on a 450 cummins diesel pusher. They diagnosed the problem in about 1-2 hrs along with an estimate of repairs and we were able to pick up the next day.. great place
