I used Ray s this week for a vehicle repair. Dropped the car off Monday and it was repaired by Wednesday. Even having to special order the part, right before a holiday, Rays was able to have an extremely fast turnaround. Price was fair and way cheaper than I was expecting. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for an affordable yet quality repair.

I love Ray and Gilbert (Ray's son)! He's always upfront with me and is totally clear about the work that needs to be done, and the options on how to do it. I've had work done at Ray's but my mother's had extreme auto trouble and Ray's always been there for her. Got my wife s water pump replaced, didn t know what was going on, just that she had a leak. They diagnosed it and were very affordable compared to the research i did. Honest and kind. Honest, hardworking, kind, and amazing local shop in the South Broadway neighborhood. You really can't find a better shop! I highly recommend these folks as they charge lower rates than other shops and they work fast! (My car had a laundry list of work including strut four replacements, fluid changes, and fixing a power steering pump). It took only five hours. I had my car back the same day! This is the shop I recommend for busy people!

The guys at Ray's do good, honest work. My water pump went out passing through Albuquerque on my way home to Denver. I booked a hotel and had my car towed to Ray's Automotive the very next morning and they handled the repairs same day in less than 3 hours. I was in a pinch and had to get my daughter back to college in las cruses, I had heard about ray s at a local auto parts store in Albuquerque I went and talked to ray and he got my daughters car in right away!! They found the problem and fixed within a couple of hours!! Very honest and very reasonable in pricing!! Would absolutely recommend Ray s to anyone needing work done on their vehicles!!!!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

We were just traveling through Albuquerque and had a wheel bearing go out. I was thinking about doing it myself and just buying a part at the nearest auto parts store. The auto parts store is about $229 for the part. But I decided to call up Rey since he had good reviews. He was able to get the part for cheaper and only took them an hour. Is the hourly rates are super affordable at $95 an hour. It was super friendly had us in first thing in the morning and out right away. I couldn t have asked for anything more.

Great experience! Fair and honest. They didn't have any intention of taking advantage of a single mom. The fix was done in a few hours. I will continue to take all my cars to Ray's on Broadway. They treated us like family from the get go. -KC

I drive a 1979 Chevy El Camino that I bought from Ray and I take it to them anytime I have an issue with it. They have never done bad work and always finish extremely fast. I'm always impressed by these guys. Affordable, good quality and good people.

Traveling from California to Texas, I woke up at 4:00 am my car would not start. I had my car towed to Rays. At 9 am, I was stuck my Airbnb was already booked by another for the next two nights. I had no place to go. Ray listen to my problem and took the time to quickly look at my car. Turns out my floor mat was keeping the clutch from engaging. He was kind and professional, in a very stressful situation. Nothing wrong with the car. He sent me safely on my way. Thank you Ray for listening and getting me back on the road!

Ray is amazing!! Auto zone told me something else was wrong I took it to him and he said let me run my own diagnostic turned out to be something easy he fixed. Saved me money and time. Good clutch job on Subaru. Got the same estimate from all over town but they were able to tell me the different prices based on what they saw once they looked under the hood. They charged me the cheapest price quoted. Good to deal with an honest mechanic. Sucks that other guy got his wallet stolen. Good thing Rays is not a bank or private detective. I'd trust them with my car though.

My friends and I were from out of town and our car broke down. The mechanic did a diagnostic at a reasonable price, but forgot to call us when the diagnostic was done. This was on a Friday, and he had the car for over half the day, so by the time we got ahold of him, it was too late to take it elsewhere before the weekend started. After sorting out the car's warranty with the dealer over the weekend, we reached out and Ray's said they could repair it starting on Monday. We took the car for them to begin working on repairs, and then after holding the car for two hours, they told us they would not work on the car.I respect their decision to not work on the car, but they wasted almost a day of our time, which is unfortunate since we were only in town for 5 days. I wasn't impressed with their communication or timeliness. I'd avoid this place.

Great shop. A couple of years ago a Nob Hill shop (Jim's Automotive) informed me that my late Father's Lincoln was unfixable (it had been driven way too far while overheated). They offered to see to the disposal of the vehicle. Instead, I had it hauled from the famous Nob Hill shop to Ray. He diagnosed it and said it just needed some machine shop work. He gave me a referral and I had the work done. it cost just under $2000. I got the Lincoln back and it was like new. I sold it for the estate and got just over $10,000. Basically, using Ray's put $8000 into my pocket. Over the year I have taken several vehicles to Ray's and the work has always been top notch and affordable. I cannot give high enough praise.

Decent people (you can tell from the moment you meet them) fair prices, excellent service!! I walked in late after lunch for a rear brake job on my Pontiac Vibe and they took care of that before closing time. I have been looking for a honest mechanic shop in this town and believe I found it.

I parked at the airport for a few months and came back to a dead battery. I don t live in Albuquerque and was driving home (3 hours away) and stopped by Ray s. he immediately helped me out and took a look at my car. Our neighborhood mechanics! Ray, Gilbert, and at least sometimes a third mechanic. Really nice guys. Faultlessly honest. Reasonable rates. In the same location for more than three decades. We couldn't be happier having this operation in our neighborhood.

Rays auto on broadway north of avenida cesar chaves did what they said. They got my car back running. It wasnt too much in cost and he didnt take too long. He did have to wait for a part, but as soon as he had it my car was ready and i came back to pick it up. Side note... He does take card which was helpful

I took my car 3 different times in 3 days. They never resolved my issue and every time I went they charged me more money. My check engine light is still on and I'm out $740.

A staple of the community Ray s auto has been around for years. My personal go to mechanics if you live in South Broadway or just visiting and need automotive work. I highly recommend seeing Ray & Gil at Ray s auto. Thanks for the service guys.
