Take it from me. These are good people and they do good work and won t rip you off. Been coming here for years ever since I moved to Albuquerque and bought my little old Honda. The previous owner recommended these guys as they had been working on the car for years. He lived all the way in RR so that says something too. One time I caught myself in a conversation with a fellow customer in the office there while we were waiting. All we could say was how much we loved these guys and how awesome they are. It was cute. Recently I had my check engine light come on. I went to Jiffy Lube thinking they would just plug it in and find out what s wrong. Nope they wanted $150 to do this. Called another place, same thing. Called Pat and he said bring it over I ll check and see what s wrong. Didn t charge me a dime. Another time they quoted me to do some work that another mechanic was going to charge me double their price! Another time I needed my car and it wasn t ready so Pat let me take his car for the day. R and Z are the model for how business should be done but rarely ever is these days.

Pat here is great! He replaced our Volvo s alternator very quick and went above and beyond with customer service. He talked through getting the correct part at the best price possible and even matched a lower price at another part distributor in order to fix it a week earlier than expected. We also needed a battery jump pack to get the car to him and he let us borrow that. Great experience here!

Pat (Ownser) Has always done me right. He is one mechanic that can truly be trusted. He he doesnt rob you. This cowboy is my only mechanic who will ever touch my automobile. (*All 8 of Them). Two Corvettes, Jeep, 1 ton GMC Van, F-150, 2003 Thunderbird, Town Car, 1957 H\T Bal Air.

There is a reason you re seeing nothing but 5 star reviews.Pat is amazing in how he conducts his business. He does it old school. The customer is always respected, prices are always fair, communication is always solid, and motives are always transparent. You can really trust these guys.Start taking your vehicles to them. You ll be glad you did.

This place has the best car mechanics I've found in Albuquerque! They have decades of experience and have amazing service at fair rates! They've worked on both of my cars and I've never had an issue with them. If you need car maintenance done schedule an appointment and these guys will take care of it!

Service is always great. Before the job, I get the information I need and once the job starts, I get all the necessary updates so there are no surprises at the end. I bring all my cars to R&Z and the results are always the same, great. We plan to continue bringing our cars to R&Z for a long time. We stopped bringing our Honda and Nissan cars to the dealerships a few years ago because they kept changing technicians and we started seeing low quality service for expensive maintenance and repairs. With R&Z you can expect ethical, accurate, and reasonably priced service all the time.

R&Z Automotive ownership is honest, the technicians are knowledgeable and the owner corrects any mistakes quickly, not that there have been many. In fact, I can only remember one or maybe two in the 10 + years my family and I have taken our vehicles to R&Z, and the mishap was due to a failed part I believe.Great service and they stay busy - Word of mouth - and I'll always take my vehicles to R&Z for maintenance and repairs, so long as ownership and quality remain.

Went to R&Z based on reviews here and elsewhere and all positive words are true. These guys took our suddenly broken car the next day. Diagnosis was that we needed a new engine on our 2017 Hyundai Tucson (80K ODO)! When we picked up the car the next day (didn't have $6000 for fix) we were greeted with empathy and no charge. We insisted on paying for diagnostic, but they wouldn't have it. Great bunch of humans at R&Z.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

The guys at R&Z are some of the best mechanics I've come across over my lifetime. I'm someone who typically doesn't let anyone touch my vehicle - these guys are the exception. They have always been honest, they give me reasonable and realistic options and they are both knowledgeable and trustworthy. These guys replaced my catalytic converter and a CV shaft in one afternoon! I have taken my car to these guys twice over the last couple of years for major repairs so far and I will continue to trust them with any upcoming work.Service: Air conditioning

These guys are great. My VW Eurovan is a huge money pit, so it s a relief to find mechanics who are honest & skilled! I ended up here on a recommendation after another local shop failed to diagnose a problem. R & Z got us fixed up right away. They also provide good records of service so I have the details I need to keep up with regular maintenance.

THE BEST, I have all three of my vehicles going to these guys because I know I can trust the work and the quotes. I have never had any complaints or ever a worry that my car would not be taken care of properly. They specialize in Volkswagen but they were recommended by Foreign Aide for my Audi. 2 Audi's in, moving out of city, and I'll still drive miles and take every car to them. 96 Audi , 01 Golf, 95 Mitsubishi ....every one of them running great, the Audi has gone cross country with out fail....each of them starts perfectly and I owe it all to Pat at R&Z....Recommend them to all my friends and family without hesitation.

R & Z is an awesome shop. The owner is honest and trustworthy. They have good prices and they are upfront about what needs to be done. It's a busy little shop but we'll worth the wait. I highly recommend R & Z!

Good honest mechanics. Owner is awesome, mechanics are very nice and knowledgeable. I prefer this shop over any other. If you need a good Mechanic this is the place to take you're vehicle.

Greatly recommended, honest, competent, and extremely fair-minded and fair-priced.This is one of last remaining honest car services in Abq it seems to me. Having a European car and getting it serviced has been a challenge these past 20 years that I owned my Passat. I have taken it to specialized repair outfits in the Nobhill area, was charged enormous amounts and often not totally satisfied with the result. I was given a smooth narrative about the complication of European car design but often had to bring the car back soon after.Pat, the owner of R and Z, on the other hand, has always been clear, honest, and delivered more often than not below the quoted cost. Although they specialize in VW, we have taken our Lexus, Toyota truck, as well as a horse trailer to them and they always delivered.Highly recommended, as I said, seemingly one of the last remaining HONESTand COMPETENT nrighborhood car services.

I needed a door lock actuator and even though the dealer forgot to put the order through, they covered the cost to overnight it so I could get my repairs on time for my trip!
