Very honest, friendly, trust worthy auto shop! Worked on my sons 24 year old car and didn't try to sell me things I didn't need, were up front honest and extremely reasonable pricing considering the cost of living going up! HIGHLY recommend them! As a female it can be scary taking a vehicle to a mechanic with fear of being taken advantage of they are not like that at all! I will continue to take my vehicles to them! I've been going to Pete's Auto Care since I was 16 (I'll be 38 this year) and they are the best! Pete and CJ have fixed every car I've ever owned. They are incredibly trustworthy, honest, knowledgeable, fair, and just all around good people. There was even a time I had an issue with my car when I was 19 and Pete came by on his way home to help me. I don't think you could find a better shop in Albuquerque and I'll give them my business as long as they're around.

Very professional, experienced, and provide excellent service. They did a great job to replace the water pump and able to pick the car up same day. Also did an alignment and the car is running great!

Had a check engine light that came on and my truck was having a hard start. Took it into Pete s because of the great reviews. They found the problem and fixed the issue that day at a very reasonable price! Will go back for future vehicle maintenance. Great and speedy service!!

This shop was so great to deal with. Had my car towed fearing the worst after it wouldn't start. Turns out my car wouldn't start because my dog chewed out the key fob (no kidding!). Pete and his team were honest, and also did in an inspection showing my car was okay - recommending basic services in the future. Again, this shows honest and integrity.I won't hesitate to use this shop in the future. Thank you so much!

Went to Pete's for the first time based on local reviews for a timing belt replacement. Their scheduling, communication and on-target estimate was great. Took my truck to Pete's after it started leaking oil. I live in South Carolina so I was feeling the pressure of a major car repair bill. They quoted me a price that I thought was fair after researching online what it would take to fix my truck. I dropped it off that morning and within two hours they called me and told me the issue they discovered. They found it was not something major and my truck was good to go and charged me a very reasonable price to fix the issue. Pete and his crew are very honest, knowledgeable, friendly, and would recommend them to anyone.

Pete has always treated me honestly. Good people that do good work. I've been going to Pete's for about 20 years and never once felt he overcharged me or did work that didn't need to be done.

I have read glowing reviews of Pete's Automotive for years, but this was my first time using their business. My car died in my garage and would not start. After determining that the causewas not the car battery, I got an appointment with Pete's and had my car towed there. They were very able to work with me as I coordinated schedules with the towing company. Once they had the car, they were able to diagnose the reason my car would not start and quote me a very fair price to repair the car in about an hour and a half. I got my car back from them in one day and now it runs like a dream. I will definitely be returning to Pete's Automotive to have my car cared for.

My wife and I have taken two of our vehicles to Pete's. Both times they gave us great service and advice. So refreshing to not be nickel and dimed to death with uneeded services. They have my business.

I went to Pete s in January after my Infiniti G35 blew up while driving through the Big-I in Albuquerque. I thought the vehicle was totaled; however, Pete s accepted the car (towed) and confirmed they could repair it at a fair price. Based on my previous experience with other repair shops, I was shocked when the final price and timeline matched the estimate. I have since moved my other vehicle over to their care. They are worthy of the favorable reviews they receive. They value their employees as much as their customers.Service: Engine repair

Received a recommendation to bring my truck here. Glad I listened. They literally took my truck back at the appointment time and it took them a half an hour to fix it. The fee for repair was extremely reasonable and the mechanic was extremely nice. Hard to find a place like this so look no further and go to Pete s auto care.

This is an HONEST mechanic. I've been to over a dozen places in Albuquerque for car repair. One place quoted me $11k for a full engine replacement. Coast at Pete's for what ACTUALLY needed to be done? $1100. I took my car in at the beginning of June to get some brakes done and a power steering leak fixed. My mother recommended Pete s as she has taken her car to him before and always had a great experience. Boy was she right. I made an appointment and within a couple hours, they let me know exactly what was wrong with the brakes and leak. They explained everything and let me know a price with tax included before working on it. I got my car back the same day. My brakes are amazing and the leak is fixed. The employees were nice and friendly. They have an expansive knowledge of cars, trucks, and the like. I believe I found my trusted mechanic.

I d give ZERO stars if I could. Terrible customer service. If they were so concerned about their lunch instead of helping they should ve closed the store for an hour. And they are expecting for us to wash the uhaul and then return it. we had picked up a dusty and muddy condition uhaul. Because thats the only uhaul for 60-80 miles from us. We took pictures before we left the uhaul lot and these people didn t want to except it the same way we got it.

Pete and CJ are awesome, very knowledgeable and fair prices for auto repair. Very friendly, and mechanics you can trust! They will tell you what's wrong w your vehicle and only fix what's needed. No stacking up unnecessary charges for BS, these guys know their stuff. Honesty goes a long way in this business

We've been bringing our cars to Pete's for years. He is honest and trustworthy. He frequently suggests more affordable fixes and always take our budget in mind. Plus, he has been terrific in supporting my son's when they go to him for sport sponsorships. Thank you Pete, a mechanic you trust is a great thing!

I hold Pete and his team in the highest regard. Their efficiency, pricing, professionalism, and craftsmanship far exceed anything I ve gotten from a mechanic. I ve brought my older model F-150 into them a few times always with some new and difficult tasks; CJ and Pete always make sure I leave with a truck that purrs.

Writing this review is the least I could possibly do for this auto shop. They are the actual best. I discovered them while I was car shopping after moving to New Mexico a year(ish) ago. I brought them a car for a pre-purchase inspection based strictly on their good Google reviews. They happened to be close to the car I was considering buying, plus they offered a reasonable rate for the inspection when I called to ask if they could look at it the same day.Turned out the Jeep I was considering was kind of a lemon. Thankfully, Pete was completely up front about the potential issues. (As in- hey, we really like Jeeps, but this one has some tubes and cables that aren't connected to anything.)I decided against that car, and then ended up buying an 87 Chevy Blazer (without their consultation.) Unsurprisingly, the Chevy had some work that needed to be done. I decided based on that very first interaction that Pete's shop was a good place to start working on it. A year and change later, they are the only mechanics that I am interested in talking to at all. I have tried many. They don't over diagnose, fix what is necessary, and listen well. Awesome service from Pete! We were passing through New Mexico and found out our brake lights were not working and it wasn t the bulbs that were the problem. Hitting close to closing time Pete fit us in and got everything fixed in record time. He was so kind and accommodating and we were on our way in no time to continue driving through New Mexico. Fast & efficient 100% would recommend!

We were traveling across the country with a small camper when we realized our Explorer needed some maintenance/repairs. We were concerned about going to a new place in a new city, but he had good reviews so we decided to try it. We arrived at Pete s around 11:30am on a Friday. Pete greeted us with a warm welcome and he looked under the hood to give us an estimate of time and cost. He clearly explained the details and options. The location was convenient to many local stores so we walked around. By 1:30pm we had our car back with all of our issues fixed. His rates were reasonable and we were really pleased with the turnaround and quality of service.

We are from Eastern Nebraska and our van started having issues coming into Albuquerque, so we really needed a shop that wouldn't take advantage of our situation. We found Pete's and are very grateful for the work completed. They got us up and running with no concerns of our van breaking down on us again. They could have taken advantage, but they were honest and the price for the work they did was more than reasonable. They did all of this inside 2 days from contacting them. Thank you to everybody at Pete's!!

We just moved to Albuquerque and needed service on my truck. We decided to try the Ford dealers first. Power Ford and Rich and was displeased with both service departments. Both were trying to oversell.Pete s auto care came highly recommended.CJ was very informative and helpful.I want the world know these folks are honest and dependable. They could ve taking me for a ride but instead were straightforward with actual repairs such as a loose bolt In my steering system. Which could ve caused serious injuries to my family or somebody else s family. The forementioned dealers did not catch this problem but instead tried to up sell front end work. Pete s auto care did not charge much for the repair. Highly recommended.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Brakes, Oil change

Pete's Auto Care is the best car care service in Albuquerque. I've had my vehicle here several times and always treated with exceptional courtesy and professionalism. The repair schedules are timely with fast return, prices very reasonable, mechanics with outstanding expertise, results that exceed every expectations. Im a middle aged now single lady, and have very little knowledge of car mechanics. I will trust no other car care place with my vehicle's maintenance needs as Pete's is the most dependable anywhere.

I took my car in today because I was having some problems with the battery/alternator. I didn't know what exactly was going on with my car but they solved it for me! Pete and CJ were super nice and had great customer service. It did take awhile because they were a bit busy but to me that's a good sign. I would rather take my car somewhere where it's busy and they do excellent work/have excellent service than some of the other places I have been. Thank you guys!
