It's easy to get ahead of yourself saying great things about N.M. Imports because they are truly fantastic!The shop is owned by a great guy named Alex and his awesome wife Stacey. Alex did some aftermarket exhaust work on my McLaren 570S a few years ago which turned out perfectly, and he just completed installing an entirely new steering system on my 1979 Firebird as well as making the fussy brakes work properly. The McLaren is a complicated car, but it was no problem for Alex. The issues with the Firebird required Alex to invest a significant amount of time researching the issue before he could then invest more time identifying the solution. His painstaking efforts completely paid off and now my 44 year-old Firebird steers and brakes like a high-performance, modern sports car!Stacey and Alex are themselves drag racers, they provide sponsorship for the drag strip, they co-host events at the drag strip, and they sometimes even go to the dragstrip with their customers to make sure their cars are performing as intended.In addition to being an excellent shop and strong supporters of the performance car community here in ABQ, they are genuinely good people, legitimately care about their customers, and are always a pleasure to work with.I'm glad that I'm older than Alex so that I hopefully become old and slow and crusty before he retires and leaves me without an awesome mechanic!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I been to many shops and this was the first shop that respected my civic. Communication was best. The work was amazing as well. They found problems that needed to be fixed and gave me a fair price. Thanks NM import and the team! My B-series is finally alive!

Alex and Stacey went above and beyond, like to another galaxy beyond, than any other shop I have ever done business with when I was doing a bolt on build for my 370z.They kept the car safe for months waiting for long lead parts. Then, when a manufacturer sent some ill-fitting parts they both went to war with the manufacturer for me to get it fixed and even drove from Albuquerque to Santa Fe on their own dime to pick the car up to avoid any further or potential damage when it was time to install the corrected parts.I'll continue to take my Z here for as long as I own it, even if it is a 1 hour drive for me.

NMI are great. They installed my provided exhaust accessories with care expected of an owner of the car, and fixed the stuff they found while doing it, all at a very fair price.

Professional, responsive and extremely knowledgeable. N.M. Imports replaced the engine on my 370Z, after I blew two holes in the first engine, and walked me through all the options for making upgrades that would get me enhanced performance at an affordable price.Thank you, N.M. I couldn t be more impressed with NM Imports. I recently bought an R32 Skyline from someone in Albuquerque and they did a pre-purchase inspection of the car, and after I purchased it, they did a full fluid flush and even held the car for me until I could arrange a transport to pick it up. They were super knowledgeable, extremely friendly, and got everything done quicker and cheaper than I could have got it done anywhere else. My only complaint is that they re about 500 miles too far away for me to use them again.I d trust them with any of my vehicles, but if you have a JDM import, I can t imagine there s a better place to take it!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have been coming here for years now and I have had the best experience from Alex and Stacy! I highly recommend NM Imports. I already refer when people ask me what's done to my vehicle or who does your work. The time and effort that was put into my builds show. Thank you all for everything

My experience at NM Imports was absolutely amazing to say the least. Alex and Tracy were super informative, professional, and genuine. They truly exceeded my expectations by helping me avoid paying thousands of dollars in the future. I contacted them, wanting a transmission and engine installation and I asked them to uncover the engine + transmission for my G35 coupe within 3 weeks of it being delivered despite them being super busy. They uncovered it the next day, and needless to say, a cracked engine block wouldn't be very fun to deal with had it not been discovered while it was under warranty. They also helped me when I was getting the car towed out of their lot (also recommended a cheap, reputable towing company). They went out of their way to air it up for me because I didn't know how to tap into the wiring to turn on the compressor, making the tow go far smoother. Not only this, but they didn't want to accept payment from me despite them helping me out so much. I couldn't recommend them enough and I am going to take all my future vehicles there for services!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Electrical

NM Imports set me up with an appointment immediately upon calling and on the day of my appointment (suspension issues on a 2010 Xterra and a handful of other issues) had the work assessed, completed and my vehicle ready to go before the end of the work day. These guys are amazing. Their prices are spectacular, and service is exemplary. I brought in my Nissan 370Z to have some transmission and differential work done, and paid Alex half of what the dealership quoted. All the guys that work there are very friendly and the whole atmosphere is chill. I hang out in the back and play some video games while they take care of my car. This is the only place I ever go to now!

I have not been there, I was highly recommended to them to speak to a guy named Alex for the work I wanted done to my 2018 nissan and have my nismo kit installed, I called to schedule a appointment to discuss the work, and the lady on the phone said sorry we wouldn't be able to touch your car and don't do any custom work to stock engine's, even though I was recommended by every performance shop in town..and all the reviews say different than what I was told by the lady. Needless too say say I was able to get decent quote from mkinnys motersports they took about 20 min. To hear what work I wanted done, what I should and shouldn't do and gave me a price. More than what the lady did. She barely even gave me time to explain what other options I had if they were not able to do it. But I will give them 4 stares because from what I can see they have done good work before and deserve some credit, I'm just disappointed I never got the time offered to me to talk about the work I wanted done, I really wanted to give them my business. Sounds like they either may pick and choose there work, or just don't have knowledgeable mechanically inclined people answering the phone. The lady was very nice and polite on the phone I will say that as well

I have been taking my 300zx and several Infiniti vehicles to Alex for more than 10 years and he shoots it to you straight on what is needed to fix the issues. Prices were awesome and the work was flawless. N.M. Imports took my 14 second Z car and turned it into a 9 second car. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I took my old G35 in years ago to get serviced, and was very pleased by both the friendly and knowledgeable staff and and clean work, when that unfortunatley got totaled out, they were generous enough to sell me one of there personal vehichles and it has been the most reliable vehichle i have owned to date, i still take it here for service no issues. I just got a new G35 and you bet im gonna take it here first thing for a tune up and maintenance. And will continue to in the future for any import car i find myself having!!

If you want your nissan done you come here hands down! Great prices and keep it real with you, they dont try to sale you stuff your car dosnt need. Only place i ll ever take my 350z. They know what their doing and love doing it

NM Imports has done a lot of work on my mk4 Supra and helped me meet many deadlines to race events on my cars . He does a great job and is always available to help you direct the right way to any project . He gives it to you straight every time.
