Michael and Dwayne were EXCELLENT! My daughter and I were traveling cross country-from California to North Carolina. In Albuquerque we began hearing a "whooshing" sound in the tires. Knew that it was brake related. Went to dinner and there was a Midas next door so I went in to ask if they could look at our car. It was close to closing.Michael told us to come back first thing the next morning, so we did. Dwayne was there and they took our car right away. In a few hours we had a complete brake job.Dwayne kept us updated the entire morning-so, so PLEASED with the service here. We could have been taken advantage of-given our situation. But we traveled the rest of the way to North Carolina in confidence with Midas' warranty and the opportunity to use any Midas along the trip. Can not recommend this Midas location enough! Thank you!!!!!

Very good service. They were knowledgeable and good at communicating what the issues were and my options. Dwayne was very professional and kept me updated via phone call throughout the entire process. Upfront and willing to discuss cost. Took care of the issue I brought it in for and didn t try to sell me on anything else.

The owner, Michael, seems genuine and always finds ways to help the customer. He seems very honest and he has recommended the right products without unnecessary upsells, and gives all the needed information for the decision that I make, and he doesn't try to fight whatever decision you make. They can get pretty busy, so appointments are a good idea, but they make every effort to accommodate walk-ins and they provide a realistic time expectation. I have bought 2 sets of tires here and gotten several repairs, oil changes, alignments etc. Better experience than I've had at Jiffy Lube, Firestone, and Costco/Sam's where I used to go for these needs. HIGHLY recommend.

Dwayne, Robert, and Michael went above and beyond with helping me fix my truck. I came in after my car unexpectedly broke down, and two days later they were done with several services. The assistant manager, Dwayne thanks again!! :) helped me and worked discounts and was so personable; it made a terrible situation so much more tolerable. Of course, as car maintenance tends to do, several more issues were discovered with my 04 Nissan, but they assured me they were doing everything they could to make her safe and at the most affordable price they could offer. I hadn t put in much work at all to my truck, but she s running so much better. Everyone there, even the technician, Nigel, were amazing and did the best they could. They absolutely will have my business in the future :)

The service was great. My only issues was with the advertised flyer that brought me in for the oil change. It should specify that Midas will not change your oil with semisynthetic if your car recommends synthetic. I said recommends not require. Midas would not change the oil for me if I didn't use synthetic. Again, my 2017 Chevy Volt can take any oil, it's just recommended that you use synthetic. Still they would not change the oil for me unless I use the more expensive synthetic. I changed it because it would have been a waste of my time to go somewhere else. Not good business practice.

Michael made my experience (replacing a tire under warranty) as perfect an experience as I could ever hope to receive in any given situation. He came across as extremely experienced and knowledgeable, and extremely accommodating. 10/10 would recommend to anyone dealing with car issues!

Would highly recommend this Midas to anyone needing repairs or maintenance! I brought in my new car for a free alignment inspection and after the inspection it turned out that the vehicle was sightly out of alignment and the tires seemed to be off balance. Dwayne was very communicative about the process they would need to do, and warned me of potential (but unlikely) damage prior to working in my car. I was lucky enough to get the head tech: Nigel, who was able to sort the alignment issues with the vehicle. Will definitely be doing more business here in the future. LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING! Don t over look this place!

At some point in time your vehicle will need some form of maintenance. Oil changes are one of the most frequent service maintenance types your car will need throughout its ownership. With this in mind I went to Midas on Menaul for my oil change. This is the first time that I have gone to this Midas location.Most Midas locations have specials on some services. Be sure to call ahead of time to make an appointment and find out about current specials.I called to make an appointment, and was greeted professionally by a staff member. When I was there, several individuals were getting different types of maintenance. One person was getting a muffler, another an oil change, lastly there was a customer who was getting some advance work on his vehicle. I'm not sure what this individual had done to his vehicle, but I do know that he was extremely pleased with the price and the service that he received. He was so happy in fact that he brought a homemade apple pie straight from the oven to the Midas shop. It had the kinda of crust that Goldilocks would trade her porridge for.Now my service was good - - - I just didn't bring them a homemade pie made with apples from my personal apple tree, that was baked in my oven! That's a testament and commercial about good customer service if I ever heard one. Yes believe it or not that actually happened (Apple pie is pictured).I like how Midas gives you suggestions for work on your car. They want to make sure that your vehicle is in top condition. Some things have more precedence over others. So fix what is mandatory or what you can afford. The oil change itself took around 30 minutes total. I was at the location for an hour due to other customer appointments.If you found this review helpful or informative, please like it. Or follow me for other local reviews. Thank you in advance.Midas will no longer be using full synthetic Valvoline oil. According to the front staff, Midas is switching from Valvoline to Reladyne synthetic oil. This location does have a smaller parking lot so it was difficult park my car for my appointment. My car unexpectedly broke down and I was able to drive it across the street from this Midas. I thought I was just out of power steering fluid (shows how much I know about cars lol) and so I walked across the street to see if I could purchase some power steering fluid. The guys working there said they would gladly take a look at my problem and top off my fluid if that was the problem. Turns out my secondary belt broke because a rock had gotten kicked up into the pulley system. Dwayne, the assistant manager, offered to fix the belt the same day, which never happens, but this was crucial because I don't live in Albuquerque. He kept me updated on the happenings with my car on a regular basis even when the part guy brought the wrong belt. Dwayne was professional and very pleasant to talk with. I will be returning for future car needs. Thank you Dwayne and other staff for being amazing people.

Went here for an oil change. Had spoken with the assistant manager the day before about the $24.99 synthetic blend change. There was some kind of mix up and they ended up doing the $50 full synthetic oil change. But the Assistant manager remembered the conversation we had and honored the $24.99 price since they accidentally did the $50. He was super nice and really helped us out. Will definitely be going here again. Plus it was super fast service.

As of writing this review, I have reached out to Midas Corporate 2-3 times with no response so I wanted to detail what happened to me so others are aware.I went in for an oil change on 04/14/2023 and left my car keys with Michael Smith and went home. Michael called me about 30-40 minutes later and told me "We could barely get your car into the garage because the transmission was acting up so bad." I have never had transmission issues. On the phone Michael told me that it would cost $7,500-10,000 to fix, in person just a few minutes later he increased the upper limit of the price to $12,500, a 25% increase! A tech drove me around the block and kept pointing out that my transmission was in bad shape with every shift. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Michael also told me my transmission fluid was low and he wouldn't top it off as it would make my transmission worse which I later found out, from another mechanic, is inaccurate.A month or two prior I had my car extensively checked out at Firestone and they did a few things including looking at the transmission and a transmission flush. Immediately after leaving Midas, I made another appointment at Firestone and told them all that Michael had told me about how my transmission was in real bad shape and could lock up at any time now. Firestone took a look at my transmission and drove my car around for about 15 minutes, and said nothing was wrong with it, they even topped off my transmission fluid for me!I also wanted to point out that Kelley Blue book states that a fair price to pay to replace a transmission in my vehicle is between $4837 and $5201 (parts + labor). Where does $12,500 come from, literally over double! This was an attempt to scam me and I didn't fall for it.Edit: Shortly after posting my review, Midas responded with a link. I've already reported this to Midas corporate two or three times and they have done nothing to resolve this issue. Which is why I am leaving this review here so that others will know to avoid this business. It's disgusting and heartbreaking that Michael would try to scam someone out of as much money as he tried to do to me. Saying "sorry" doesn't cut it. The only reason he is "sorry" is because I'm coming forward and being vocal about it. Where is the integrity? There's a reason this Midas has the lowest possible rating from the better Business bureau. Stay far away.Edit: it seems like my review has stopped appearing, maybe editing it will show it again.

Outstanding business! Michael, Dwayne and Robert were so patient, helpful and honest, I have truly never had a better experience with a mechanic in town. They helped both my husband and on the same day, not to mention beyond fair pricing.Thank you all @ Midas on Menaul!!!

Awesome service, gave me a discount and they were extremely helpful with external problems and were incredibly resourceful.UPDATEI just want to say thank you to Michael and the rest of crew. There was some misunderstandings and confusion that had me worked up, and I didn t want to take away from their business as they are already short staffed, but Michael was extremely compassionate and understanding of the situation. He did an excellent job with the service and took off an extremely generous chunk of my total payment and I am beyond grateful. I want to thank this location profusely for their kindness and generosity. This location does the best that they can and it doesn t go unnoticed, I will work to repay them in future, as of now I m grateful to have AC in my car.

This is a great location if you want to waste your time. I called and asked if they were busy and if they take care of my car right now...the guy who answered the call said yes so when I got there all the stalls were full.. I went in and he said it would be 20 minutes..20 tuner into 40 minutes. So I left. He should have told me the truth, instead he wasted my time!!

Each time I have gone to this location I have had rude service and lacking info. IE not being told ahead of time about important information like that the coupon on a full synthetic oil change doesn't work on European synthetic oil or that my car required a full synthetic oil change not a synthetic blend. (I tried going to them with two different vehicles.) If I want to use Midas, I have had to go to the one on Alameda and San Pedro.Not only have I personally had rude interactions, but while waiting for my turn I witnessed one young man being talked down to while he was confirming that they would call him and tell him a price before the fix was made.Car repairs are already stressful, there is no need for rudeness or dishonesty.

Here is a photo of my oil 9.8 miles (!!!) after an ""oil change"" at the Menaul Midas location. Usually my husband does our car maintenance but just this once we decided to job it out. He checked the oil afterward to double-check and noticed it was substantially overfilled (and suspiciously dirty) so drained the oil out to the appropriate level. Thankfully he did so because this is what we found out the oil looked like 9.8 miles after the supposed change. In addition to the damage to our car engine we narrowly avoided, there is no way the job we paid for was done. We've reported this to the BBB, State Attorney General, and Midas Corporate Office and are also posting here to make sure as many people as possible are aware of this grifting business.Service: Oil change

Not too happy about this place, they advertise $50 online for oil change but when you get there it s $80 given they matched the $50 only because I mentioned it. While waiting for the oil change they called me to let me know the horrible condition my brakes were in and it s only $1000 to fix. I turned it down and waited additional two hours before calling back to check the status of my oil change apparently it had already been finished , it would have been nice to get a call to know that! After picking up my vehicle I asked my mechanic friend to look at my brakes and he said they re still pretty good condition and the pads could go another 20,000 miles! Definitely beware of them trying to scam you! Will not come back!Service: Oil change

Had my oil change done a few months back, I went here because I didn't have the time or space to change my oil at the time.This time I did it myself, when draining the oil, I found that they didn't end up putting the required amount of oil in my car, despite charging me extra for 1qt and a disposal fee! (I know oil breaks down overtime, but never have I seen such a low amount drain before). On top of that, they used the wrong filter on my car as well, it was way smaller than the one that my car actually takes. I will never go back to this location or a Midas overall, if I can't trust them with a simple oil change, what else are they willing to hide from you?

All the people are amazing. Took my spark to a "reputable mechanic " and was quoted $1,300 for a passenger strut. Took it over to these guys and had a guy named Nigel look over everything and absolutely nothing was wrong. Even Took the time go over things with me a personally showed me. Never going anywhere else. When you have a great mechanic treat them good. These are the guys.

Midas is my number one choice for car maintenance.This was the only shop I found where the owner and manager are not only involved with their clients, but also kind to their clients.They answer their phones, they provide service quickly (got my car in the same day that I called)They were informative, patient, and genuinely helpful.They even helped me get home -because I don't have a plus one to help me get to and from the shop, but they wanted to make sure I could get the help with my car that I needed.Top notch people, I am so grateful. I would recommend this Midas to women (in particular) but also to anyone looking for quality service and respect.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Made an early morning appointment. No one called to confirm my appointment so I went in anyways. All the garages full and they had a line of guys waiting for their appointments. The guy at the counter pretty much ignored everyone waiting and he was not friendly. I ve never seen a MiDas as bad as this one before.

In my experience this place is a big waste of time and money. They made me wait for a long time to get my car in for oil change, even though I had an appointment. Mike (who probably is manger) then suggested a lot of replacements of parts (tires, exhaust / air filter, and what not). He also tried to play doctor role, "the dusty air coming inside car will effect your lungs". His aggressive upselling is bad customer service. When I refused to accept any repair or replacements, he literally got annoyed and said, "ARE YOU NOT GOING TO REPAIR ANYTHING TODAY"... My answer "NO". I would recommend going to other locations.Service: Oil change

Michael and his team are an awesome group of individuals to work with. They have done oil changes and other work on my vehicle (replaced timing chain and water pump). Everyone is enthusiastic and happy to offer information and all of the work has been done in a quick and professional manner. This is how an automotive shop should strive to do business! These people are very knowledgeable. They knew within minutes of what was done wrong at Jiffy lube with my brake system. They corrected the problem and explained everything in detail. Went on for my breaks done as well as an oil change and a slow leak in my tire. They did so much extra work without letting me know but instead telling me that they where waiting for a part it went in Saturday at 10 am and didn't get it back until about 10 minutes ago it's pretty ridiculous that they did so much more than I asked fit all to make extra money from my company needless to say that is the last time that we will be going to midas for anything congrats you just lost a pretty big fleet contractor.Services: Tires, Brakes, Oil change

Not sure what s the point of setting an appt when you still wait an hour before they get your car in the garage. Also Mike always insists something is wrong with your car and try s to up sell you on every possible thing. Nice folks but if you go just make sure you have time to wait and deny any other things they say that might be wrong with your vehicle.
