Fantastic experience here. Brought my old bent RV torsion axle in to get looked at. Liam was friendly and knowledgeable and he got me all set up to have a new axle made with better parts than the oem. They gave me the option to reuse my old brakes and bearings, but upon disassembly they let me know and sent photos of severe wear that was prudent to get fixed up. I appreciate their balance of giving the customer a choice while making them aware of issues and keeping safety at the forefront. Price was reasonable and turnaround time was just a couple days from placing the order. I will be recommending to my friends and family and coming back when I need work on my other trailers (this one should be good to go for many years). In a world of "COVID service", my expectations are low but McBride's blew them away. Thanks Liam and team!

Mc Bride's did well by us. Fixed the bent axle on our RV in 7 hours. Really good team. We're thrilled with the outcome. We were referred by Ernest Clark of Clark and Sons in Santa Fe. The price was exactly what was quoted.

I was told there was springs in stock for my truck on Friday i made sure we were on the same page on which ones i needed. I let them know I'd be there Saturday to pick them up. I drove 4hrs to pick them up when I got there they did not have them and they showed very little interest in wanting to help me get what I needed. I'm sure it was just the employees I dealt with on Saturday because I've never had issues before.

These guys are awesome!I was carrying a 2000 pound load in the back of my pick up and noticed a loud clunking noise which turned out to be loose U-bolts that could not be tightened on the rear axle. I showed up after four in the afternoon. They had new U-bolts cut and installed by 4:45 and for less than 100 bucks!I typically do everything myself on my fleet however, any future suspension work I have will definitely be going to these guys.Very professional with concern for public safety in the event my axle had come loose on the freeway. It could ve been a bad event.Thank you, Mc Bride s, spring & welding!

Here for Fiesta and got a broken leaf spring on the trailer. They took us right away and had it fixed in a couple hours. Even repacked the trailer bearings. Great service! Highly recommend!

I had a nasty bearing blowout and these guys took me in even though they were pretty booked up at the time. They did me a real solid with my axle replacement and overall everything was very reasonable. One mixup with not replacing my spare along with the other 4 but oh well.Thank you!!! Liam and his manager and the crew were a really solid group!Service: Steering & suspension repair

I'm installing a lift kit on my vehicle by myself and I needed to add a leaf to the rear springs. I just needed to get new clamps on the springs to hold the new leafs. I called and showed up with parts in hand and they took care of me right away. 20 min later and I was on my way and I was able to get my springs installed the same day with how quick they were. Good people. Great service. I will certainly be doing business again when the need arises.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I had brought my travel trailer in for an axle alignment at the recommendation of my RV dealership (Mc Bride's was the only place in Albuquerque I found that did axle alignments). I recently had a blow out due to the rear axle being misaligned. I called on a Friday for an appointment and was given a phone quote of $275 + the cost of u bolts if needed. I brought the trailer in on Monday and was given a price at the desk of $301 per axle. I chose to only do the rear axle since the front had no signs of issues and was told it should be complete the end of the day Tuesday. I called Tuesday afternoon and was told that the trailer would be complete and to come pick it up, however when I arrived 30 minutes later they told me to come back the next day and that they had not started the work yet. While frustrating, they did later apologize saying that they had mistaken me for someone else on the phone. I received a call on Wednesday afternoon that the work was complete and to come pick it up. On arrival I was told that the cost was $425 because they also repacked all bearings on the trailer and replaced the seals, work that I did not authorize or request. They told me that the bearings were worn out and that they could not have done the alignment without replacing them. I find this hard to believe 1. since the dealership I just picked it up from said the bearings were fine. 2. The axles are less than 2 years old and have less than 7000 miles on them. 3. There was no grease on the wheels themselves showing any kind of leak (with the recent blowout I have spent a lot of time looking at the hubs). They took the cost of the bearing replacement for the front axle off the bill but would not take the cost off the second though did bring the final price down to $350.The next day I called my dealership back and confirmed they checked the bearings and confirmed all I needed was an alignment. As a military member I move too often to build a relationship with any shop and truly believe that I was taken advantage.I do not recommend using Mc Bride's for any work due to their lack of transparency and customer service.Service: Wheel alignment

They are great!! Have been there a few times. Last timeI got my leaf springs rebuilt. They always come in on quote, except for that time, THEY WERE UNDER what they quoted me. Which was $200 under what everyone else wanted in the first place. Talk about honesty. Very happy with the work. In fact I need to have them weld a small project for me.

We had the springs on the axels go out on our trailer. We had gone to an RV repair shop that didn t want our trailer tying up there shop as it is an 89 Alpenlite. Recommended McBrides Spring and Welding which was a blessing in disguise. Work done and upgraded in a timely manner and we were back on the road again. No price gouging, they were very fair in the pricing. It would have cost much more if the RV place had done it. So thankful for Shane s work and Casey for their willingness to help us get back on the road again. We highly recommend them!

Warren, who I believe is the owner now, is a great guy to work with. His quote to me, including labor, was about $1,000 less than I could have gotten the parts for to do it myself. The work McBride's did to convert my fifth wheel from electric drum to hydrologic over electric disc brake conversion looks like the factory did it! Great job! Thanks!

I have used this company professionally for over 30 years. My family ran a road service business in the Grants/Milan area from 1960 through the late 80's and we used them hundreds of times we have never been disappointed. Called them this morning and my custom U-Bolts were literally ready in minutes and fit perfectly. Highly recommended!

Read some unfavorable reviews regarding "rude attitudes" but thought I would give it a shot anyway, maybe just meet some fellow New Yorkers or something. Found everyone to be Professional, Business Like and very Busy about their jobs. No nonsense place they know their business and get about doing it. Not a place for anyone who thinks they are entitled to very 'special' treatment because they think 'they' are very special. You are there to get a job done, and so are they. Was cheaper than online quotes and really knew their stuff which was very helpful when I wanted to upgrade my suspension. Thanks

If you do not mind how the mechanics treat to your vehicle, then by all means take you vehicle to them. Access company sent my vehicle to McBrides to install a trailer hitch and wiring. I just hope the actual installation was performed in a professional manner. My complaint is their lack of customer care.I had just had my vehicle detailed to the tune of $220.00 10 days prior. I received my vehicle back with 3 " ink pen line on the steering wheel hub. A grease stain on the driver side door panel and grease all over the steering wheel ring. It was necessary for me to spend about 45 minutes cleaning my vehicle and restoring it to the condition they received it in.I asked the access company for a phone call apology from McBride personnel. No such phone call has been received. In my world, if you do not respect the client's vehicle, you do not respect the client.

My husband noticed our 40 ft fifth wheel trailer was leaning to one side, looked & sure enough we had a broken shackle bolt. He first called La Mesa RV (we were across the frwy at Loves), then CW, they both turned us down stating our rig was over 10 yrs old. Found McBrides, they said bring it in, had us fixed and out of there in an hour, back on the road! And advised us what to do/look for to prevent in future. Loved your staff and thank you for taking good care of us at a fair price! So when we buy a new rig next month, guess where we are NOT going!

I took my 2002 Ford F350 to McBrides for specific front end work to be done. The requested settings were desired to stop road wander while pulling my 5th wheel. They were very helpful and did exactly as I asked. My truck handles great after the work was completed. I highly recommend this shop for front end repair and alignment.

These guys are great for the metal/mechanic things that know one else wants to do, cant do, or charges way to much. I have had McBrides do everything from creating a custom boat hitch for my boat trailer so I can attach a jet ski, level the front of my F350, pressing bushings, doing the alignment on my lifted Chevy with 40in tires, and reinforcing my off-road suspension on various trucks. The shop is a little rough when you walk in and they could defiantly benefit having a front reception area with a well dressed receptionist, but instead one of the welders or mechanics (dirty and greasy) will stop what they are doing and help you out. Once you get passed that, their work is good and price much better then the Off-road and suspension shops.

We had some extensive work done on the tag axle of our tour bus at McBride just over a year ago. Our bus was noticeably unsafe to drive when we picked it up from McBride. We brought it to another repair shop that informed us that the new bushings were installed improperly and they itemized the repair work that McBride had done incorrectly. McBride agreed to refund our money. In January of this year, we brought our bus back to McBride to be aligned, as there was no one else in Albuquerque that had the equipment to align vehicles this size. McBride charged us 868.42 for the Alignment. Once again, the bus was noticeably unsafe to drive when we picked it up from McBride. We sent our bus to Las Vegas Nevada to have it repaired buy a shop recommended by the manufacturer. We were charged $325 by this facility for the same work that McBride did, and the bus was driving safely and properly again. I called McBride spring to request that they make good on the faulty repair, they refused.....saying that our bus was "worn out". I told the man on the phone (Warren) that I served on a city transit board in Santa Fe and I thought McBride was unqualified to do they work they were doing. Warren told me that he was friends with Governor Martinez and several NM senators and that he "knows people in Santa Fe" and would see me in court. I notified Warren that our office phone system records all of our calls and that I intended to file a complaint with the proper authorities. I have been in the transportation business most of my life, I can say with the utmost certainty that McBride is not qualified to repair or maintain heavy equipment.

Update: Mr. Wild at McBride's has been very cool and responsive. They are currently reworking the shackles to meet my desired outcome at no charge, including partial refund for the shackles I ordered/shock installation. They said they would put only new CPT shackles on and reshim the axles at no charge and scheduled me for fast turn around (possibly same day as dropp off). They are devotetd to making it right and satisfying the customer. I'll update once its done.I've had good luck with these guys in the past. They charged me a lot for this job on my Scout ($1281.84). They took it upon themselves to get the final product how I wanted it. Can't really ask for more than that. Thanks McBride.

Recommended by Rocky Mountain RV to repair a broken spring shackle on a 5th wheel camper. Repair is stronger than original construction and they reinforced the other side to make sure it did not break. Extremely happy with the service and work.

My experience was great! These guys knew what they needed to do. Performed a great job and will take my vehicle back to them. They gave me great recommendations for my vehicle and came in under the quote!

McBrides employees need to take more care of nice trucks that go in for service, maybe put some paper mats on the floor boards, maybe plastic seat covers if the employees are dirty, I noticed a scratch on my paint which I'm not that concerned with, if I had a new truck then I would be very concerned. Just be more considerate, Thanks Randy GarciaService: Steering & suspension repair

If it wasnt for the good work they've done with both my trucks I would give one star. Believe what you read about the rude phone etiquette and if youre a regular customer with a regular truck you are thrown on the back burner when a commercial vehicle comes in. They could keep you waiting until they close up shop.. I will say they hold true to their word when given a quote and they are honest men there. I accidentally left my wallet full of money in there and not a dime was touched

Absolutely horrible experience with this shop. Can't speak to the quality of the work as we went elsewhere (thankfully) but the customer service was some of the worst I've ever had the displeasure of receiving. Was on a road trip so needed a quick and easy fix to keep trucking along the US, one of the mechanics told us what was wrong and said he'd order a part that would be in the next day. Never asked for our name or phone number, called the next day it wasn't ready. Showed up two hours later (the time we were told the day before), it still wasn't in. Said he'd call us when it came in. Decided to go somewhere else rather than wait around all day. Not only did the other shop have the part on hand, the whole job (including labor) was less than half the cost that the part alone was quoted at from McBrides. After labor was figured in, we essentially paid 3x less and got the job done quickly. Still never got that call from McBride's telling us the part came in. Apparently they don't really care about the customer that much.

wife had a catastrophic bearing failure on her horse trailer. other places said it would take 3 to 4 weeks to replace the axel. McBride's did it in 2 days, they did great work and was right on what they quoted. i will not hesitate to use them again!

Not speaking to quality of work but zero customer service. They go out of their way to avoid inquiries about how much longer past the 3 hours I already waited. Was told at 8am 1-2 hours. It is now11am and am told another hour. No acknowledgement of ones presence. Everyone seems miserable, the place is grungy (I ve been to auto shops that are clean and organized). This is definitely a drop off. Do not wait. You will waste your day.
