Do not take your car in to this shop. I won't go into a long rant because it is just simply useless, but my BMW was returned to me in worse mechanical conditions than when I took it in. As soon as I pulled it into my driveway from the shop the check engine light came on. Just look around the shop when you walk in, there are parts everywhere. It's completely disorganized and total chaos. The front desk owner was cordial but his mechanics, the ones that will be working on your car is another story. My experience was terrible. Good luck if you decide to take a chance.

This is the only review I ve ever written. Rick runs a trustworthy shop. The only place I would take my Mercedes Benz to in Abq. Brought him my ml500 with power steering issues. They diagnosed and fixed my issue in a timely manner for a fair price. Can t express how grateful I am to have a shops like this in town. Keep up the good work gentlemen.

We have been going to German Motorwerke's since the late 90's exclusively. Ricardo is very honest, trustworthy and reasonably priced. He is really good and fixing only what is broke and not surprising me with a large bill like the BMW dealers used to do.

I'm not one to post reviews. But I'm happy with the AC service. They got me in same day and job done same day. I would highly recommend them. Honest and beats the competitors.

I almost never leave bad reviews, but I feel as though I should warn Audi/VW owners about this place. I took my Audi A4 here a month ago with a P2177 "engine too lean off idle" code and asked them to diagnose the MAF, O2 sensor, and smoke test for vacuum leaks. On forums, this is usually what people run into with this code. They claimed to have done all of that and replaced 1 of my injectors for $500, then told me my pistons were bad and they would need to rebuild my engine for $3,000. I refused this service and took my car to Hans Witler instead. They diagnosed my MAF sensor as needing to be replaced and did so for less than $200! This cleared my code and my car is running perfectly again. German Motorwerks also put over 200 miles on my car and left a soda stain by my cupholder and I never eat or drink in my car. My car was filthy when I got it back and the steering wheel and shifter were greasy. I also popped my hood after getting my car back from them and noticed several intake screws missing, that I had to order from FCP euro. Do not waste your time here. They do not know what they're doing and almost never call you to tell you what they are doing to your car. I had to call several times over the week they had my car for updates. Take your car to Hans Witler instead and save your money!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Richard is the best. He just needs to hire a fairy captain. After it rains so much in The Valley to cross the pond.

Beware people! Do not take your car to these people. I have a Mercedes Cle AMG and they ruined it. They used the wrong transmission fluid and it ended up costing thousands to fix. Along with my breaks that were worse off after I took my car to them. They take zero accountability and do not keep records. If you want to keep your car running and safe take it to the dealership!Services: Transmission, Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance

Took my 08 Jetta in for a laundry list of items. This place was honest and did not take advantage of me. They explained why my breaks were making noises and reduced my list to just an oil change. I will be back and I would highly recommend this place.

When my Beetle's AC broke another shop quoted me a price of 1200 dollars. German Motorwerke did the exact same repair for 300. Replacing the same car's internal computer was quoted at 1200-2000 dollars at other stores. German Motorwerke did the work for 700 and even helped me out for free after the repair was done and the check engine light came on.I've been a customer for about 5 years now and I always have a great experience. The staff remember me, they remember what they've done to my Beetle, and they're always super friendly. The owner always takes care of my car's problems for a great price. I think this is the friendliest, most affordable, and top quality mechanic in ABQ. You must go if you have a European car.

All the good reviews are FAKE! Never take your car here cause you will be paying more for there mistakes. Rick the owner has no customer service skills and he's very condescending. Had to take my car back for there mistakes yet he stated my car was a pain! Close your doors buddy and Larry Barker will pay you a visit. Also always get an itemized receipt. Thank God i recorded all my conversations with this rude man!!!!!!

I will never go back here again. Worst experience/interaction ever. The guy working front desk was being really sketchy and dishonest not to mention RUDE AF. I usually don t write reviews but damn I need to warn people to STAY AWYAY and to take your business elsewhere because the problems they fixed on my Audi and charged $700+ for, are back! Only two weeks after getting it back from them.

They can't tell you when your car will be finished, or if it will be ready that day. I asked how many cars were ahead of me; he replies that every lift had was in use. So I asked how many lifts they had; he couldn't tell me. The 2 dozen cars that are always crammed in the front parking lot and put back don't inspire confidence. Auf Wiedersehen.

"MEAGER" I don't trust the owner. I called the store to ask for advise and was talked down to. He was very defensive and told me to leave the car with him. His knowledge seemed partial compared to everyone else, I talked to in town. Don't let this unacomplished individual steal your livelihood.Update: the reviews on his page are fake

The thermostat for my car had to get replaced. I dropped off the car and after a couple of days they called me to let me know it was ready, I had to take it in a few more times and it cost me $$ every time. They were not able to fix the problem, the engine light is still on. I've called and left messages but I think the lady that answers the phone is not passing the message along. Time to look for another shop.

They spent several days to find out what problem was and then recommended I take car to dealer and push for fix under warranty. They only charged me for oil change and saved me a ton of money. Will definitely go back.

Even though my VW/Winnebago wouldn't fit in their bay or on a lift, they troubleshot my Eurovan's problem to a faulty connector and charged $270 for the repair and an oil change. University VW wanted to install a rebuilt transmission for $7500 with no guarantee that would fix the problem. Hans Foreign and Domestic Car repair upped that to $8000 with even less of a guarantee. I would recommend these guys to my own family.

I have a 1978 Bug Convertible. Rick and his men are the ONLY ones to see about getting work done. They are experts in everything VW and German....AND they even speak passable English! SIX stars from me!

Wow called for a quote and was treated very rudely. If I could give it no stars I would. This guy has less customer service and people skills than a toddler.

AMAZING guys that do GREAT work at a good price. As a single female, this is the only place I will take my vehicles and not worry about being taken advantage of.

I would not recommend, the customer service has plenty to be desired. The receptionist seems to have tarnished my return visits. Hans Wittler's now has my business.
