I had a great experience here after the Ford dealership failed to find the issue with my suspension. Dr J was quick to identify the problem and prescribe the level of fix I wanted, then turned it around very quickly. Afterwards, the shop was very accommodating and explained some noises I did not understand, I will certainly be returning here for any more problems that come up on my older Ford Escape.

Absolutely the worst "mechanic"I was putting in a new 350 creat motor in my pickup and unfortunately had ended up in a cast so was unable to finish myself. Hired these guys to finish up some wiring and finish a few odds and ends... Took a month just to get a quote and another month to get the truck back. Brought it in May 3rd and didn't get it back until July. When I did get it back the transmission wasn't bolted down like it was supposed to be and my transmission broke as a result. Brought it back and they did a sorry repair and never fixed anything.... lots of excuses and headaches and was charged double what I was quoted.... my recommendation is save your money at the "dr" and take it to a real Mechanic!

My car sat for 15 months at Cutting Edge Automotive in Santa Fe because they couldn't figure out what the acceleration problem was. I took it to Dr J's and had my car back within a week working as normal. Really appreciate these guys!!

Ricky and Jay are very good at what they do. They take the time necessary to diagnose and fix your vehicle right the first time. They both care about your safety and will tell you the truth about the work needed and won't try to sell you anything you don't. If you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and honest mechanic. Dr. J's is the place to go.

While on a cross-country road trip, the transmission light came on as we arrived in Albuquerque. We arrived right after opening and had car evaluated. Within 15 minutes, we were updated of status and issue resolved. As I had already encountered mechanical problems (with another vehicle) on this trip, I anxiously awaited my bill and was told there was no charge for the inspection. Such a gift in this day and time. Customer service skills were A+. Highly recommend!

Dr.J's in house transmission specialist brought my 4x4 back to life. Recommended by a friend so highly I drove from Santa Fe and am glad I did. Have been driving for a month now with new repairs ( snow and deep mud) and all is great.Good communication and follow up and answered all my questions before and after.I'm glad I went out of my way for professional ,experienced work with a nice warrantyI highly recommend Dr.J Automotive for repairs and friendly staff too.

I was passing through Albuquerque from Oklahoma and decided to stop and get my fluids and tires checked. I went in to see if they did that and a guy said not really, but was more than happy to help me. He added any fluids I was low on and checked my tire pressure. He was down to earth and would not accept any money. It is people like that gentleman that make this world a better place. Very trustworthy shop, would be the only mechanic I would go to if I ever passed through again and was in need.

Had to go to Albuquerque for an appointment for my daughter. Ended up having some car trouble. I was leaking transmission fluid really bad. Luckily I found these guys they had the leak fixed and I was back on my way home to Alamogordo in no time. They are reasonably priced and looked over my car to make sure I would make it home. Happy to report we made it home without any issues. Thank you for helping.

We have been taking our vehicles to Dr. J's for several years now for oil changes and other service. They have always given us great service and their prices have typically been less than what we have paid elsewhere. Their new location is not on a major street, but still pretty easy to find.

Have an 04 Jag. Most places won't touch these cars but Dr. J is great and will warranty his work. Nice personality. Will explain what failed and most likely why. I highly recommend this guy.

Gooood mechanic he did a good amount of work on my truck and it sounds great they know what they are doing super great full everything went smoothly if I'm ever in albuquerque again ur my mechanic

J did a great job. He went out of his way to pick up the part for my AC, and he even took my car in that same day and serviced it. I will definitely be returning to service my car with him again.

Dr. J's Auto clinic are the good guys. They communicate well, get the job done right and stand behind their work. I've been taking my old Triumph Spitfire to them for several years. They know how to get creative when piecing the 'ol car together. "Keep up the good work!"

Dr J's initially told me an emissions test was going to cost 42 dollars, but after leaving I spent 95 dollars and had a expensive list of "issues" with my car that they described as being imparative to fix. After giving me my quote the counter guy couldn't even look me in my eyes as if he knew he was trying to rip me off. To confirm my suspicions I went to a good mechanic friend of mine who is a manager at O'reilly's. What he had to say was aggrevating to say the least, he informed me that Dr J's was overcharging for parts by as much as 3 to 4 times the amount, and over quoted me on labor times. One of the issues with my car was a check engine light bulb which Dr J's quoted me 187 dollars for. I fixed it myself for 5 dollars plus tax. Dr J's quoted 3 hours of labor for this, It took me 20 minutes to fix. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. There are plenty of great mechanics out there who are honest. I would use them instead.

These guys do great work. Jay will give you a straight�forward diagnosis as well as things to consider repairing or having maintenance done and the costs up front. The shop is more than reasonably priced and the service is thorough.

These folks installed a new engine prior and performed an oil leak inspection today, and indicated no leaks, I'm speculative. And will need to get under my truck, clean up under and use my flashlight to confirm.

Took my ford explorer in on February, 2019, "JUST" to have my spark plugs changed out, all 8 plugs, thinking it was going to cost me between $200 - $250 dallors, they said I needed other parts for the plugs, I ended up paying $755.00, "JUST TO CHANGE OUT SPARK PLUGS", I asked for my parts back and took them to a mechanic friend of mine, he said to me, THAT Dr.J's automotive ripped me off, by saying I needed other parts when I REALLY DID NOT. I DON'T AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DO BUSINESS WITH DrJ's automotive shop. """ BEWARE"" 3-1-20019

Having a mechanic you can trust and who takes care of your vehicle, is almost important as choosing your medical doctor.I recommend "Dr.J" as your vehicles doctor.

I was a walk in. All the people there were very helpful. They know what their talking about. One of the workers there is named Robert and he's very helpful with anything you need. I recommend it
