They were great! So accommodating and nice. I called 5 shops to get my starter replaced and he was the only one that didn't charge $300 or more over what an actual starter would be.

My excellent mechanic of many years moved so I was worried that I'd not find another. A friend recommended Chris of Dave's Garage. My friend was right: He was honest, fair and conscientious. It was an outstanding experience. He replaced my front brakes, and will repair my seat belt sensor as well. He also noticed that all my tires were low (after I'd just had them rotated and checked elsewhere.) I will be a long-term cutomer.

So, my Aunt had been pushing me for the better part of a year to come by Dave's Garage. I finally took my 2003 Buick Century in and it was a good experience. He was done when he said he would be, and he was very honest. I initially asked him to change my brakes, and he found they did not need to be changed yet. And he was willing to inspect my cooling and power steering system for free. Great mechanic, and a great price!

Dave's Garage is amazing on all counts. Dave and his assistant are knowledgeable and very fair. If you have a problem, he diagnoses it and repairs it right the first time. He has also saved me money in the 15 years I have known him, by informing me when I need necessary work done. - Before it becomes an expensive problem!NOBODY IS BETTER THAN DAVE! His good work is done on time, whether major or minor repairs. My old and new cars have all benefited from his expertise. All this service, with courtesy and attentiveness as well. He gets an A+++++.

Love Dave's Garage on Prospect. I've been taking my car there for years. I trust Chris and my 1999 Toyota is still running great.

I know enough to figure out what most problems are but lack the ability to fix them. These folks have always been honest with their diagnoses and labor charges. It's top notch repair service with great prices since they don't mess with you. I was not expecting them to be strait with both of my elderly parents multiple times only fixing what actually needed repairs. They also went beyond during covid when my mom's car broke down stranding her in ABQ fixing it same day, while they worked on it giving her access to the office to hang out in and loaning her a phone charger.

Chris is a good fair mechanic. Fixes the problem and doesn't try to sell you anything more than what is needed. Daves has been our " go to" place for years. They fix it right the first time, price is fair- less than the dealer for sure. Best bet is to schedule an appointment. Good places get busy and Dave's is a testament to that. Won't go anywhere else for mechanical problems.

Amazing, Honest, Fair, and Fast! Don't go anywhere else!! Best place in town! I originally took my car to the dealership and they diagnosed the problem and said it would cost over $1000 to fix. I decided to take it to Dave's Garage instead and it turns out the dealership misdiagnosed the problem. Chris went above and beyond to fix my car in a timely manner and the price was a fraction of what the dealership quoted. As a girl I frequently worry car shops are ripping me off or not being honest but I never felt that way here. Dave's Garage is the only place I will take my car from here on out!

I found Dave's Garage about two years ago. I do most work myself on my vehicles and so I know how hard some things are. Dave has always treated me square and gave me his best price. Work is always excellent and I will continue to use Dave's. I send my kids to Dave's and my relatives. Dave's is great.

I have been taking my trucks to Dave's Garage for year. Chris is always friendly and never pushes me to do unnecessary work. As a female, that is a big deal. I have never had any issues with my vehicles after leaving. Highly reccomend.

Both me and my sister drive older (15+) vehicles that have needed work over the years and every time we go back to Dave's. He is honest, fair and an amazing mechanic who will stay the extra hour on a Friday night to get your car put back together because he knows you need it that bad! He also makes sure you understand what is wrong with your vehicle and lets you know what needs to be done to fix it! Real good guy, all around. A++

My car had been worked on by a shop who shall remain nameless and really socked the charges to us and when i got the car home it still ran horrible. I found Dave and his review below, and it was just as Ella said. He was honest upfront and didnt take my pocket book to the cleaners like others have. He knows his stuff!! Highly recommend this man!!

Very disrespectful Dave was. I brought it for a lady to check it out for her to buy and she paid him so he totally ignored me and walked right by me 3 times and only talked to the lady knowing that it was my car he was working on not her car also he didn't know it but I am also a mechanic and his diagnosis was wrong some of the things he said was right but there was a few critical things that he said was wrong do not take your car here you have been warned thank you bye
